They tried making me pay $200 to take photos on my cell phone. Thats absolutely laughable. The website states this is a free park open to the public. I guess that was a lie.

Surprisingly quiet and peaceful, the gardens are a lovely little spot tucked away in plain sight. A perfect place to peruse a book or go for a quiet afternoon ramble.

When my husband and I toured wedding venues, we found the River Oaks Garden Club and immediately fell in love. We were surprised that such a beautiful place was tucked away in an urban setting. Anne, the manager, is so kind and helpful with any questions. On our wedding day, our guests loved our venue as well and thought of it as Houston’s hidden gem. The gardens looked even more beautiful on our wedding day than on the day we toured; so many florals were in bloom. It gave a whimsical romantic feel we were hoping for. It felt so intimate with our family and friends. We loved having our wedding at the River Oaks Garden Club.

Attended a wedding here,it was a small venue without a real attraction. Just a house with a small yard nestled amongst the businesses in upper kirby.

I could not have imagined a better place to hold our wedding! The venue was cozy enough to be intimate and the gardens were spacious and gorgeous, perfect for the ceremony and pictures. Anne was a doll to work with and so easy to talk to. Dont be alarmed that the courtyard isnt covered - you can have a tent top put in place in the event of rain or cold weather which is what we needed and it was STILL absolutely beautiful. River Oaks Garden Club met and exceeded all of our expectations and we couldnt have been happier with the outcome. The best part is that it was so much more affordable than most venues in the area, especially since we had less than a hundred guests for our wedding. I think ROGC would be perfect for an event in any season, which is saying something for Texas weather!

Beautiful venue. Venue manager and police officer on site were very pleasant. Great venue for a wedding or any big event. The venue has a historical feel along with a romantic atmosphere because of its gardens and interior decor.

Awesome place loved the garden

I was at this beautiful venue for a baby shower. My cousin wanted a garden theme and this location delivered fabulously on that. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. This little Oasis is tucked away in the heart of a busy city, but it offered the serene feeling of a beautiful garden.

Very beautiful place for taking wedding photos or just a visit! Kind of like the garden of Eden in the middle of Houston.

Hidden gem. Very nice landscape and great place to take photos. The staff here were amazing for our event and they really went above and beyond to make sure everything went well.
