My husband played for an hour and walked away $200 up. More than paid for my mani-pedi a few doors down. Lunch and flights of beer from 50 taps upstairs after that concluded a fine day!

Great place to play cards and socialize. The staff is attentive and courteous. By far my favorite poker club.

Have been playing at Mint since inception. Only 5 miles from my driveway.Great games and now offering a $5/$10 limit High/Low Omaha 8 or better.Love that game and hope more players will give it a shot. I have a few comments on how I feel this poker house could improve. Get comfortable chairs that are not broke, furnish seat cushions (we spend many hours on our butts), make sure all published rules are enforced (language, game rules, etc). The staff, as a whole, does a great job and most seem to bend over backwards to make the players happy. I will continue being a regular there as long as I can. Keep up the good work.2 $ Bill

Benny is a GREAT floor but guys like BUCK shouldn’t EVER run the floor. He lets his emotions get in the way. He acts in a bias way and favors the opinion of colored guest rather than taking a realist stand point also he gets a big head and acts like he owns the place once he puts on the blazer.the floor should always be and remain completely neutral in any Situation and should never take sides based off emotions or race.

Place is nice. A bit crowded though maybe too many tables. Service is great and they recently changed from tokens to a card for seat fee. Think of it like EZ Pass. only real complaint was I was playing 1/3 and several guys had at least 3k in front. Plenty of parking

Mint kinda killed the golden goose with a sequence of very bad business decisions. The room was popping before they bumped up the rate to $15/hr and implemented a (now removed) effective rake.The marginal cost of opening another table is so low and the network effect in poker is king. When people cant trust that the games will make, they stop showing up (I used to drive 30+ min a day even when Prime was 15 mins closer). When they stop showing up, it makes the games even less reliable... and fewer people show up, and so on. This was my favorite room in Houston, but now its a ghost town and will remain this way until Mint reverts the bad changes they made and mends the trust lost from recent decisions (bad beat jackpot?!).I primarily play PLO but there is no way the typical action in NLH in particular justifies $15/hr making it very difficult for players to win. When your players arent winning, it also deterioates the strength of your network.

Stay away from this place! This place is raking pots now. Supposedly the owner is doing this to cover promotions like bad beats getting paid and high hands winning on select days and hours. This place opened up just within the past two years under the pretense of a professional poker room which meant, for the most part, it did not take any percentage of pots. Now, however, the place is atrociously hypocritical and they have fallen into the disgrace of all the illegal gambling rooms everywhere. If the law states that no third party can benefit from bettors’ bets, then that means even the people losing on bad beats cannot benefit from bettors’ bets and raking the pots cannot be justified. I honestly hope this establishment gets shut down. There are very good alternatives that are not raking and are hosting professional poker games.

Great place to play poker and you dont have to drive almost 3 hours to Lake Charles, Louisiana . Great management, dealers and staff are very professional, friendly and respectful. The place is very spacious, clean and most importantly no smoking. They just need to advertise more to bring in more customers, which takes times. All I can say is Im very impressed how this place is well run.

Its real fellas. Good, friendly action. Good people too. The amount I save on gas and time is worth it too me. Plus if you play alot they sell reasonable priced membership. If your a player you gotta check it out.

Service is great, with very professional staff members. $1/3 NLH is always rockin with 2-4 tables. The only thing I dont really like about the place is that some players take the no limit or max buy-in part of NLH as a challenge with some players sitting at $1/3 tables with several thousand in chips throwing around chips like theyre playing at a $5/10 table (this isnt Mints fault, but still). I think Mint should have at least one $5/5 table during peak hours. Ive been several times and Ive only ever seen $1/3, never $1/2 Limit or $5/5. Other than that, I think the place is the best you can get in Clear Lake without driving to Lake Charles.

Awesome.....Use to be good place to play, until they started hiring whoever applies to be a dealer. A couple are actual dealers but seems now most are complete novice ones that have never played a poker hand. The worst part is you talk to the GM manager or whoever is in charge and all you get back is that theyll talk to their dealers. Honestly with all the other clubs popping up in Houston I recommend playing elsewhere unless your ok with the idea of losing big money on account of untrained and novice personnel.

Management has a good grasp on how to run a poker room correctly. Room is large, nice tables and clean place. Definitely will return soon

One of the best poker room I have been to in the Houston area.

This place is probably great if you play all the time due to its membership structure, but not so much if your just looking to play a few times. I stoped in to play a game and it was $10 for a day pass, $5 for a card, and $5 per half hour for cash games. Then $100 min buy in. So basically $25 just to play for an hour. No rake though. I am just here temporarily and wanted to play for fun, so it didnt work for me. Most of the people there probably play half the week at least.

Good environment, good schedule. But dealers and floor are really unprofessional. Its hard to find a dealer not making a single mistake during their 30 minutes session. Dealer asked players to be quick while players still discussing 1 river or 2 rivers, made mistakes counting/splitting pots, too many misdeals, not reinforce the rule/etiquette on the table, check their phones during a hand, some dealer seems to be a little personal against some player, etc. The floor person doesnt know the poker rules and dont know what to do when there are issues on the table. Most dealers are not paying their full attention while dealing cards.Suggestions for the players, when you are involved in a big pot, pay close attention to the chip counting/splitting. I am hoping more competitors open soon so that I have more choices.
