We came to Texas Christian a year after raves from people at church. Our children were nervous about a new school but after their first day they came home and thanked us repeatedly for changing schools. Our children loved their teachers this year, they got help when they needed it and they were challenged not only academically but Spiritually as well. They have always been good kids but the daily spiritual in their lives has even changed them for the better at home.Your family will absolutely love this school. It is amazing just as everyone told us!

BEWARE, This school is fraud and not worth the money! This school does not have real christian values! All they care about is money. You will constantly be asked. The only time the front office is nice to you, is when you pay. They are rude and have no etiquette. Teachers are always quitting, there is no consistency at this school. If thats the kind of school you want your kids to be a apart of, good luck! The only reason why people send their kids to this school is because its cheaper than other private schools, but I warn you, it shows! EVERYTHING Mrs. Gurnea said, I would believe. Parents, most of these reviews are from teachers and students, of course they wouldnt leave a bad review, keep that in mind. I regret every day for sending my kid to this school. I promise you, your child can get a better education in public school. Look elsewhere before you make a decision.

I am a teacher at Texas Christian and my girls have attended the school for 10 years. My oldest daughter graduated from Texas Christian in 2014 as co-valedictorian of her class. She attends Oklahoma Baptist University and continues to maintain a straight A average. My younger daughter thrives in the smaller classrooms and has teachers who will provide extra help when needed. The students thrive when the school, the home and their church home work together. When they hear the same principles from each of these three main areas in their life, they avoid much of the confusion that is prevalent in our present society. My husband and I are very thankful that we have been able to have our daughters in a Christian environment.

Texas Christian School offers a Christian education to students from infants through 12th grade. The teachers care about the students development in their spiritual lives, academics, athletics and in developing leadership abilities. The school is reinforcing the Christian values taught in my home and is preparing my students to serve God in all areas of life now and in the future. Go Tigers!

Texas Christian is a wonderful learning environment for children and a positive learning environment for students of all ages. They have a great preschool, elementary, and high school. Our students attend great colleges all over the United States and many return and work in the school as evidenced by the staff.

I am so thankful to have joined the TCS family this past school year. Not only is it where I have the opportunity to teach but for my kids to go with me as well. When I hear my 3 year old singing about how to be strong and courageous and to not be afraid my heart just melts. Nothing is sweeter to my ears than to hear my child singing about Jesus. This school year he has learned his colors, shapes, counting, how to write his name and many other activities that were planned by the wonderful staff that I have the opportunity to work with. He wants to go to school everyday even though it is summer time. I cant wait to see what he learns next year in K3.

Texas Christian is an amazing school. Stop by and talk to any parent. I have 2 girls who are graduating this year. One will be going to UTSA and the other to A&M or UT. I also have 3 younger boys who will graduate from TCS as well. We love the teachers, school activities, friends we have and I would not want my children any where else. I was a teacher in the public school system and my husband currently works for KISD. We will always have our children in Christian education and TCS is the BEST!!!

Toured the campus with my wife and had the chance to chat briefly with staff. TCS is a very strong candidate for our children. The campus was great, staff were all very friendly and polite and the entire feel of things were great. We look forward to having our daughters at TCS after our relocation.

This is not a school to send your child if you want your child to success. They are very behind academically. We took our child out because of the new principal who is really controlling. Im so glad now because now I know the type of education my kid was getting at TCS doesnt come close to the education hes getting now. My kid is pretty smart however, if he continued at TCS he would only be attending a jr. college. Ask them the percentage of kids who got accepted to a regular 4 year college.

This past school year, 2013-2014 was very difficult for myself and several other teachers at the school. With the implementation of a new Principal, the administration of the school increased to 4 authoritative figures and no one ever knew who to go to for any given situation. Student discipline was irregular and varied based on how well liked the student was by the individual disciplinarian. Similarly, I was encouraged to change grades for certain students (usually athletes or International students, the latter constituting about 43% of the entire High School). There was no curriculum provided for me to teach English as a Second Language (ESL)--I had to make it up as I went. In regular English, the textbooks are 23 years old with no supplemental materials to help a teacher devise lesson plans and the administration often voiced their dislike for how I chose to teach the curriculum...even though no support was offered me. I ended up quitting a month early because I was done with the harassment I was subjected to on a daily basis by the administrators, and a math-teacher colleague quit after only a month for similar reasons (there are only 4 full-time high school teachers, 2 part-time).I have a Masters Degree in Teaching and several years experience in the public sector and never dreamed that teaching at a private school could do such a disservice to faculty and students alike.

I have three sons attending TCS and I am a teacher there. I have loved the small class sizes that allow my kids to get more one on one time with great Christian teachers. The best part about TCS for me is the feeling of family. The staff and students encourage each other and it is a safe, friendly environment. I taught in public school for 15 years before I joined the staff at TCS and I can attest that the curriculum used is very good and our kids will be prepared for college when they graduate. It is wonderful to know that my kids are getting a quality education as well as a great biblical foundation. They are learning about God and getting the skills to be strong Christian men throughout their lives. We love TCS!!

I am a former student of this establishment with a long record of attendance. I endured many hardships at this school and witnessed so many sad, terrible situations while attending. Please, head my words. I do not speak from animosity, merely opinion rooted in a long term of experience with this establishment and everything it stands for. Please note, I do not seek to judge the intention of the heart, as that is Gods job.Christian:I cannot speak against the entire staff, as I am sure it has changed since I left, but I can address the administration, the Palmquist family. I want to clarify some issues with the Christian education so many of you are desperately seeking at this time. This institution has presented itself in the past to be a ministry of God, but it considers itself to be a place of business first and foremost. Also, the denomination is Baptist. Teacher to teach may yield varying results, but as far as the administration is concerned, there is no room for debate in this Christian Faith. They are Baptists, they teach to that doctrine, any view that contradicts with their views are rejected without consideration.Claims of grade changing:This is a fact based in hard evidence. I would not make a claim if it were not true, and knowingly, Googles Policy does not make room for libel. The administration will alter grades for athletes that are needed to compete. I was an athlete, I had friends who were athletes that did not have the best of grades, I watched it happen on numerous occasions. Grads will also be changed for anyone in the Palmquist family, this is the claim that holds hard evidence, not just heard, but seen. Disciplinary actions will also be avoided if it threatens to interfere with a competition deemed necessary of that student participation in order to win. If there is a student that is critical to the success of a team, but this student has reached the point of expulsion, most likely the star athlete student will be allowed to remain until completion of the designated sport season. I witness this, along with about 50 other students, feel free to reach out to them, we are the millennials, the majority of us hold the same opinion about this institution.Education:If your child is above normative intellectual levels, self-sufficient and self-motivated, then your child may have a chance to actually graduate from this school with a sufficient amount of knowledge to pursue a collegiate education. Myself, along with the other students in my graduating class, have had a terrible adjustment period while attending university. We learned so little math and science, we had to struggle to teach ourselves the basics in order to keep up in a freshman biology class. This is unacceptable to me. I feel incredibly robbed in this area. My parents sacrificed so much to send me to this school with the best intentions of giving me a better education; all that money, wasted. If your are considering pre-k, I would not plead with you. To all the parents who are considering sending their children to this school in hope of getting a better education, I believe there are better options for you any way you turn your head. the education is a failure at this institution. I have seen it from the inside, and for your childs sake, I hope you take my cry seriously. Education is so important! Texas has a horrible record of education, but I have had many conversations with graduates of a public institution that convince me it is by far a better way to go. Consider K classes or AP level. Ultimately, of course, do what is best for your child.Behavioral:If you have a trouble child or a child that has social issues, I have to recommend this institution. From my experience, this school is actually helpful in regard to social issues. Because the school is so small, it allows pupils to bond in inexplicable ways. It will be tough to adjust and I am not suggesting that it does not consist of bullying at times, but I do think in some situations it will manifest healing and lead to long friendships.

I made a review of TCS close to 1 1/2 years ago now... I sang the praises of this school throughout that review... and in this updated review... it will be the same thing.I graduated with the Class of 2016 at TCS. My 2 years at TCS (Junior and Senior Year) was the time of my life. When I started going there junior year, I knew only 1 person before going and that was my friend who recommended the school to me... Going to TCS was a great choice. I made friends that I will know for the rest of my life. I got the experience to play football, because I knew after high school, I would never get that chance again. The opportunities this school gave me for my future... Im forever in debt to them for that. This school allowed me to learn in a Christian environment, an environment I was used to, while preparing me for the secular environment that would come after high school. Im now in my 2nd year at Lone Star College finishing up my basic classes and hope to transfer to Sam Houston State University in the Fall of 2019. All the lessons I was taught there have resonated with me since there were taught to me and they will never leave. The teachers there are some of the most charismatic and loving people that I have ever gotten to meet. Im not saying that this is a perfect school because in this life, nothing is perfect except our Heavenly father... but out of all of the Christian schools you can choose in this area, I highly recommend this one. You will not regret it. :)
