No complaints here, it’s a very clean and overall standard contemporary art space. The walls and lighting system looked highly maintained and the staff were all very professional and friendly. A great turn out for the graduating MFA class and some nice artwork. The two different floors offer a couple of nice large spaces for group or solo shows. Parking was convenient and cheap and we were greeted at the door with information since we had never been.

These days there are video shows going on. Waste of time

Its an easy place to visit. Six free parking spaces reserved for museum visitors directly across the street. Friendly knowledgeable staff to check you in and guide you on a tour. I missed the exhibition I wanted to see. There was actually very little of interest to me during my visit.

It was free to go as a student. It was nice to look at paintings and stuff I guess, I needed to go for my university summer project.

The staff is always so nice. Free admission for all guests, not just students. The exhibits are always worthwhile, diverse, eclectic, moving, and consolidated well in the space.

It’s like a little quiet haven. The art is inspirational and the staff is so welcoming. It’s peaceful here.

Always kept very clean and the staff is nice. Love that they constantly rotate art exhibits so theres always something different/new to see. It is a small museum but I highly recommend dropping by to check it out.

Not one to frequent art museums, Blaffer exceeded expectations. Staff was friendly and helpful. Facility was top notch; ran and inviting.

As an art student at the University of Houston, this art museum is convenient and welcoming. I love seeing the rotating work by students artists and visiting artists. It is a great museum to check out, my favorite time of year to go is when the grad students host their end of the semester shows! Totally worth a view.

Im sure this place is amazing when there are student pieces displayed. Unfortunately, now there was only one quite boring exhibition. I recommend calling to make sure there is student work.

Free admittance. 6 or 8 free parking spots directly across the street. Plants outside were more interesting than current exhibits. Convenient to Hwy 45.

Its an ok exhibition space. Its just a little awkward because youre usually alone in the museum, so the guard/watcher has to follow you upstairs or around corners because us peasants cant be trusted to not touch the pieces I dont blame them, but its awkward af. Its hard to get really into a piece while the guard is catching a glimpse at you every minute. Unless Ive been followed every time I visit by a rando?

The Blaffer is a great museum space. But it suffers from Houstonism: its a pain to get to thanks to I45 getting the worst road in the history of mankind. There isnt signage about it from the road, so you have to know about it in advance. Its a relatively small space to make it a destination. Now that the UH campus is full of art and should as a whole be integrated into a whole art experience, but its not well mapped for visitors (nor do I think the six free parking spots for Blaffer patrons encompasses one then walking the campus too). And it closes at five. Im not sure about weekends, but I basically only go there when I happen to be at UH for something. It would be great if it could get the attention it deserves.

It’s an art museum. Cool if you’re in to it. Not so much if not
