Suggest several hours or more when touring as there are so many various artists and works there easy to spend alot of time appreciating each an every piece shares a look into the soul of an artist

Hardy & Nance studios are going strong! 60 full time artists work in the studios. There is a residency program offering a free studio space every three months. The gallery hosts outside artists every month. Events are free and great complimentary cocktails. In a sea of development- this warehouse collective has protected its spot and isnt going anywhere.

Hardy and Nance one of Houstons hidden gems. Artist owned and operated event space & studios catering to the visual and performance arts within Houstons historic warehouse district, near downtown. This studio houses some of the most talented and artistically diverse artists in Houston. There are established artists and up and comers. The types of art represented in this space include: abstract, surreal, ceramic, assemblage, photography, digital, mixed media and just about anything else you can think of.This studio has solo shows for artists, as well as some very well known group shows that allow the resident artists, and outside artists to come together to show Houston their skill. A few of the shows that should not be missed are: Just Ink, Black & White, and Viva Frida.Hardy & Nance also has open studios the third Saturday of each month and they enjoy meeting with first time visitors, as well as old friends and customers. Take advantage of the opportunity to meet with the artists and ask questions while viewing and buying some truly amazing art work.

This place was cool. Went there for a large show. Tons of art. I was glad that there was actually a lot of good art. It looks like a great place to be an artist in residence. But it looked like there were some rooms that were simply a place for people to sell. Looking forward to future events.

This is a great artist owned studio space and home to many incredible Houston artists.

I work 65 hours a week for the Houston Texans. I also carry a backpack and dont dress up very much. But I am educated, intelligent and considerate of others. Every time I walk into Macys, I get stared at, followed through the store, told what items cost and asked if Id like to see a cheaper item. These are the most stuck up, judgmental people Ive ever seen in my life and its truly a sad site to see.

I had a great experience with Hardy and Nance Studio. I had entered my Marilyn Monroe Mannequin in May 2019. Sold my mannequin later that evening. It was very interesting to see all the art work that night. The atmosphere was awesome. Great people. Like I always say support the arts. Overall: great experience. Exciting art venue. You never know what you will see here but expect to be treated to good art. Some artists set up studios here while most exhibit. Art Crawl is an exciting time to go in November each year. Lots of art in the neighborhood around this venue. Plus places to eat and hear music.

Nice venue featuring local intriguing artists. In particular, Liz Ortiz was a shining star. Her vibrant self portrait with a feathered serpent commanded the room.Make sure not to miss a lovely Potter tucked back in the far reach of the building; her choice of pallette ours one in mind of Japanese elegance in its minimalism.

Awesome studio that has an open studio on the third Saturday of every month that showcases the talents of resident artist as well as other Houston artists. Robin Baker (studio 1) has amazing black and white pieces that is worth the trip out to the studio to see.

Great place to view and purchase from local artists. Several studios in this co-op. They also have various functions certain times of the month for open house type events.

Love the space! A hidden secret just northeast of downtown. Once you make it here youre gonna wanna come back again. Perhaps event get to know the artists.Visited this space for a friends showcase. A series of photographs on the stages of grief. Walked around and checked out all the other pieces. It was at the back of the building in a space that i would describe as multi use. A perfect setting for the showcase.Got this very artistic bohemian feeling if I have to put I to words. A creative vibe. There were many different types of art ranging from photography, oil paintings, sculptures, collages, etc. There was even stuff in the bathroom. Perhaps one could say it was maximum use of walls.I cant wait for them to have their next open house or some kind of show.

Always something going on at Hardy Nance. The artist are all very talented and friendly, many I know personally. The shows there are very interesting and thought provicting. Friendly not stuck up staff. When you see a show at Hardy Nance and you love art, GO. You wont be disappointed.

Individual artist studios with an exhibit space in the back. Regular open studio days. Exhibits are usually themed and happen pretty regularly.

What an absolute gem this space is! Unassuming from the outside, the interior goes on and on and on. So many galleries to see with local artists in attendance. And the styles of artwork vary greatly, from Frida Kahlo-inspired art to pop art and seemingly everything in between, plan to spend about two+ hours here to see Houstons artscape from the local perspective.
