Went here last night for date night. Had a blast! There may be some crawling so be prepared. Well set up and interactive. Fun little puzzles to play with while you wait for your room to get set up. The guy running it was super friendly and welcoming. Definitely telling friends about it and want to go again when the next room opens.

Went tonight and made it out with 39 seconds to spare! It was tough with a group of three but with a few hints from the host, we were able to finish. Well definitely be back again!

This is an awesome place to vist. He updates his rooms every 3 months or so. Each room has been challenge. If you have hearing issues like I do. Just let him knownand he will make adjustments or work with you. So far my husband and I have played every room. Each room was a challenge and we had to ask for a hint or 2. I highly suggest giving this place a try.

Awesome place! Owners are super friendly and accommodating. Booked a reservation for the wrong date, showed up a day early and they still allowed us to play. Both rooms are really well done and have neat features that I haven’t seen in other rooms. 5 stars for sure... you will really enjoy!

I cant say enough great things about this place. We love this place. We have gone twice, once as a family event and the other time as a team building event. Both times, the employees were friendly and courteous and we had a blast solving the puzzles.

Absolutely the coolest people. I booked online for a group of 7 and for whatever reason put the day before we were set to go. Needless to say we all show up 24hrs late and they were more than happy to help us out. Excellent customer service! We cant wait for more games to open up there:)

Mickey and his wife were amazing hosts, the room was a lot tougher than I thought. We came with a group of 12 people Id recommend doing this room with a smaller group perhaps 6 people. But it was still fun and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Room Esc. came out to our 20th high school reunion with an AMAZING custom pop-up room! Our alumni had a blast with this bonding experience and it was the talk of the night. Crisman was an enthusiastic game master and did a phenomenal job bringing our ideas to life. He went above and beyond to make the escape experience so personal for our group! I highly recommend you put these guys to the test and try them out for yourself!

I showed up here for a room and they are not open. I looked at the room times online and there was one at 5:00 and one at 5:20 but when we showed up, the place was closed. Disappointed. I hope they don’t open based on online booking. Because had I purchased tickets online and then a Howe’s up to a closed business, I would have been very upset.

The owner is super nice but this isn’t an escape room for people who have done many escape rooms before. Way too easy and not enough clues and puzzles. Room felt unfinished and needs some work.the owner did say that the switched the set up to make room for the other room they just added. So it’s possible it truly is still be worked on as a result. Could use some more imagination to go with theme. It is a collector theme but really didn’t feel like a space of a collector. Just a few mask. And it’s not a true escape room. You just find stuff. I prefer true escapes. Plus our experience was ruined by being with a family with kids because they ran to everything even stuff we found and I couldn’t get the chance to truly try stuff as well. I will admit that I did ask to be with another group and I should have specified that we preferred not to be with a group with kids. So part of it is my fault. But I didn’t think to ask that as I’ve only ever been paired with kids one other time and they were older and they collaborated with the adults in a very respectful manner. The owner asked my feedback and I was honest that I would have enjoyed it better if I had not been paired with the family. Advice when bringing kids is to remind them other people are playing and deserve a chance to enjoy the experience too and to let others be a part of things. I did figure out a couple few things missed by others but I also had things snatched from me or was pushed out the way or couldn’t even get into spaces due to the kids. And we got out with nearly 25 minutes left. Had I known it was that easy I would have attempted it alone with my fiance. Also that’s way too easy especially with a group of kids with you. Very low budget room that felt like it was still under construction. But the guy who owns it seems cool and I can tell that he’s passionate. I believe he is just getting started and has the potential to grow into a very awesome escape some day. And I think the elephant room seems way cooler. So if you try this place go for that room instead cause it had theme music and everything. This room is way below the level of rooms in the area. Low tech in comparison. Use walkie talkies to communicate where as other places is cameras and speakers and clues on television. I believe it would be much better without the walkie talkie. One advice I’d give is to have more clue and stuff to be figuring out along the way to give groups more to do as in divide and conquer. This room is rough for big groups because there really not much to work on at once. I found myself standing around at times cause those kids where in one smaller part of the room that didn’t fit everyone trying to work on a puzzle they couldn’t solve without my fiancé. But since only two to three could fit in there I was stuck waiting on them. So their needs to be more to work on and do. This place should lower price cause it’s not as good as others in the area that cost the same. Old town escape is way better but for the best in the tri cities area try escape room rva or river city escape room. I really do love the owners determination to bring the escape experience to Hopewell. He stated that he wanted all people to have the opportunity to try escapes and to change some negative perceptions of escapes. Escape rooms are for everyone and I love the passion to be inclusive. Even though i was not a huge fan of this room I’d consider maybe trying the elephant room but you don’t truly escape from these rooms so it’s not my personal preference of room types. I have tried others that were not true escapes but mission based and it’s just not my favorite. However I may try the room cause I’d like to increase my rating more and hope to see this place grow and get better as my favorite escape places are far away from me (almost an hour). Also I’d like to acknowledge that proceeds of the elephant room help to fund organizations that try to help protect elephants in Africa from poaching. So I believe that is truly commendable and amazing that he’s doing this.
