Room was the less expensive version but still had amazing views. Very small and very hot in one area of the room but they did provide a fan. The bed was comfortable. Surprisingly nice toiletries and shower was good. Its an older building but they have made it work. The hot tub was like lukewarm bathtub water and almost none of the jets worked. Front desk personnel were pleasant and helpful. We had an event which included food. The server was kind of condescending but the meals were fine. Their halibut special was delicious!

We stayed in a Stateroom facing the bay. We had 180 degree panoramic views of the mountains. It was new construction and very classy. Everything was immaculate and pristine. The bathroom and balcony were the best parts. Room # 238 I believe. Huge modern soaking tub and large standing shower. Excellent price for the room.

1 family 2 adults and 1 child. Stayed in room 102. Small room with patio and bay view. 1 bed with a second trundle (pull out) underneath. No creamer in room but otherwise nicely appointed with appropriate incidentals. I like the fact you can reserve the outdoor hot tub, small heated indoor pool or sauna. You can reserve one for 30 min per day , each day. Facilities were clean. Ate breakfast in the Chart Room Restaurant. Good food and service however food took 30 minutes to come out and they were out of several items including low fat milk and bacon. Big portions. Staff are friendly and efficient. Would come there again. Wish they would offer an Alaskan resident discount. Room was $169 + taxes which is not cheap but in line with other Homer hotels. Main selling point is this hotel is one of only two properties on the Homer Spit.

This place had the best views on the spit. Rooms are nice, people are friendly but the view is what your paying for. This is my 3rd time staying here and love it more every time. It is like they pay the otters to play outside your windows all day. Plus up close with the mighty mighty eagle. Great place.

The room was clean and quiet, however it is also the off season. The views surrounding the hotel were beautiful. The staff was friendly and the gal at the front desk was very helpful with things to do if wed had more time. Guess we will need to make a return trip

It’s amazing place to stay. The front desk guy was very nice and even upgraded our stay as their was some confusion about our booking and we were charged wrong. But he made up for it and gave a beautiful suite overlooking the mountains. Though due to overcast we could not really see much of mountains still it was nice gesture by the front desk. Beautiful decor and place is clean and beautiful. Definitely love to go back and highly recommended.

Bitterly disappointed and hurt.We truly enjoyed it when we first came in February 2020 and hoped to make many more reservations in the future.Michael at the front desk was wonderful and he was the same one we made reservations with again for this most recent trip (we requested the same room we stayed in on the previous trip and confirmed the room number. We were assured that the requested room would be set aside for us). On this most recent trip, we stayed double the amount of days in addition to bringing my parents who were visiting from Florida.Upon arrival, there was a young woman, Devin, at the front desk who we had never seen before. She literally lied to our faces about everything. She lied about the room availability (saying that there was no note made by Michael, when my parents literally saw her rip up a note with our names and requested room number on it), she lied about the Michael being new, and she lied about the rooms, claiming that all of the rooms on the same level were the same, when I requested a room with 3 windows (trust me, there is a big difference). She then said only 1 room in Midship Bay that has the 3 windows and furniture. This was another lie. There are at least 2 other rooms like our original request. The rest of the rooms have 2 windows with different and sometimes cheaper furniture. Our room also had 20 plus flies crawling around on the ceiling, bathroom and windows. When we called they sent a maintenance man with a fly swatter (which we appreciated) and told us that the flies were normal for this time of year. They did try to sneak in a 10 percent discount without disclosing why (we were not made aware of the discount) but when my husband repeatedly spoke to them regarding the room, they claimed to have added another 10 percent discount. We will just have to wait and see if they were being truthful about this now. I believe they are since it was another woman, Heidi, who took over.We may or may not try again on another trip (because it is beautiful here and I really like this hotel) but I truly hope that they make sure the entire staff is on the same page with regards to honesty and integrity. I would not have been so upset if they just told us the truth about the mistake on our requested room and not lied to us.

Worst breakfast Ive had in a long time. The breakfast potatoes amounted to a tiny handful that was burnt to a crisp. I mentioned it to the waitress who said she would let the cook know (Why, so he does it better for the next customer?). The eggs werent much better, two tasteless scrambled eggs that looked like one. Cheap coffee. The only reason I gave it two stars was the view.

Land’s End ResortMy room was designed to please the senses. The view from my window and balcony was enchanting.I never closed the drapes to be able to watch the sky change colors. The sunsets at 11:30 pm in June ...the sky was blue at 3:00 am and around 6:00 am, the local birds ate their sea morning meal. The bathtub was deep and wide with a window to view the bed and the outdoors. I had purchased sea salt cubes from the local store to add to my hot water bathtub therapy. After I checked out, Michael an employee at the Resort, called and texted me to remind me that I had left a phone magnifying lens in the room. I thanked him and told him that I deliberately chose to leave that behind in case someone needs it.Vhuntermassage LLC

Plan on getting no sleep if you stay here. No sound proofing and people of Walmart cramming on average 6 people and 2 dogs into each room. Beautiful view and mellow, nice, semi-formal ambiance. It has the best view of any restaurant in Homer, yet the food is just average. Id come for the view and a fancy 1/2 lb burger but save the fish and chips for another place.

Ive stayed at Lands End a couple times and both experiences were very good. It is difficult to think of a more scenic location for a hotel in Alaska as the hotel sits in the middle of Kachemak Bay and most rooms (I believe) face Kachemak Bay Park, with soaring mountains and gorgeous blue glaciers. The hotel is also located at the very end of the spit allowing for an expansive beach access area.My most recent visit involved a stay in one of their king staterooms, which was a little spendy but for a summer rate in the heart of fishing season, I thought it was reasonable. Everything looked like it had been renovated recently, or they simply keep the rooms in great condition. The ensuite was laid out perfectly with a separate toilet (though I wish there was a vent fan in there), a huge standalone tub and a separate shower. The bedroom is a good size with a king bed and a sitting area. The bed was quite comfortable and soft, which I like but can imagine being too soft for some. The deck was sorta unnecessary as ours was too small to fit two chairs, but it was private and we poked our heads out for unobstructed views.

Waitress charged me for unedible eggs and i texted my complaint to person that claimed they could answer questions and they said nothing. They also had no hand sanitizer in there machines and bags of garbage sat in hallways for about 24 hours. Nice views
