Did the tour to Katmai Brooks Lodge. It was great, the pilot was professional and nice. Plane was clean.

Probalbly the best tour I have done ever! So many bears! And the flight was great to! Being on a water plane was a first for me and very cool!

Im giving 3 stars because the review is two parts, the bears are 5 stars and the flight is 1 star.First the bears, the bears, the bears!! From the time we landed there were bears on the beach, bears in the water, bears at the falls, and bears on the trail! It was incredible seeing all the bears so close just doing their thing. We had a mom and two Cubs 50 ft. from us on the trail.Now the flight.....not good. There were 5 of us in a 4 passenger plane, so I was put in the luggage area! When I pay $900 to fly me to Katmai National park I expect an actual seat in a plane!!! This is an hour and a half flight each way shoved in a space similar to the backseat of a Corvette. Now I am 66 yrs. old, too old to be expected to sit in a luggage area with a cushion for a seat for 3 hours! The luggage hatch had space all around it that let freezing cold air in. Our trip was yesterday and today I am in so much pain its ruined my day and I doubt if tomorrow will be any better. I did not pay to be tortured!

One of our best excursions and fondest memories. A must do!
