Definitely a family friendly environment for a movie night out, it’s massive so if you love the lively feeling this is definitely your type of movie theater.The food selection is pretty good for a movie theater, the also have a cool little arcade so the kids can go nuts but they keep it clean it’s not greasy like a chunky cheese or anything but the large amount of movie theaters makes it so you don’t have to struggle to find seatingIt’s especially great for movie big movie premieres! They definitely have the capacity to do it efficiently so the staff isn’t going crazy

All the mainstream movies play here as well as some limited release films. Regular theaters plays 3D showings and a 4DMX theater for the adventurous. Full concession stand plus a restaurant so you can have whether you want during your movie.

The reclining seats are very very comfortable :-) . Complete with individual tables and cup holders. The screen is large and the acoustics are great. Lots of parking. The only thing I dont like is when you buy your ticket you select your seat and it says a lot are already sold but when you go in they arent and you could have picked a better one. It should be just first come first serve... Other than that, a great theater!

This was the first time going to this theater and it was great, in this location theres reclining seats very comfortable they dont serve alcohol in the theater but there is a bar and grill if you want to grab a drink before the movie. And the food was good too. Dont forget to ask for a straw in this location because its against the law for them to offer you one.

We were watching a movie and one of the Hi hats kept flickering on and off extremely brightly. I brought it to their attention and within minutes they had the entire row of lights shut off which was excellent. Nobody wants to watch a movie with a flickering light over their head. Good job guys.

Love this movie theater as it is local. Lots of space. The Starbucks and the ice cream concession never seems to have staff. It is really busy at weekends so make sure you get your tickets beforehand. The popcorn and drinks are expensive, but not different from other theaters. They have a pretty decent bar.

Pro: This is a very modern movie theater. It has recliner seats, a lot of food options including starbucks, and helpful staff.Con: The snacks were a bit expensive. I spent 30 dollars on snacks for two so be prepared to spend a pretty penny. But also, go on a Tuesday to save money in that way.

The place is awesome. We love to go to watch our favorite movies there. They really take care of their customers. Once I forgot my wallet in one of the theaters, and they found it. When I come back asking for it, they returned it to me completly safe. That make us to Love more this place.

Every time Ive been to this theater, the ticket counter has shown that the recliner seats are all sold out, but during the movie, they are empty. Also, if youre going for the Live HD simulcast or encore NY Metropolitan Operas, go somewhere else! Today, the sound was messed up for over an hour until I personally went out and asked someone to check it out. Despite the fix five minutes later, the intermission interview of the star tenor was muted. Then after the second intermission when the show resumed, the house lights remained undimmed, and another audience member had to go out to get them to dim them! A staff person said they have 16 theaters and how could they possibly know if the sound is out if audience members dont complain! Plus, the Starbucks coffee they served me was cold. I did get my $4.62 back. Not a particularly aesthetic experience. Ill be going elsewhere next time.

Just to say. Is ok. Nothing really special about this movie theater. Maybe in the past, not anymore. What make a difference in a place for me is the people and accommodation around. This theater used to be very popular because the seats! I do not like the arrangement space between them,to close to walk in front of the row. You can easily fall down, also the people the works at the snacks concierge are very antisocial! Is lots others theater that bring the beautiful feeling the you are welcome in there property, this theater make me feel the contrary. Is just my opinion! Great place to watch a movie. Seats are comfortable and recline. Theater is fairly clean and modernized. My only gripe is the price for a movie ticket can get expensive especially on the weekends after sunset.

I am 16 years old turning 17 in March. I have never had a problem seeing a rated R movie with or without an adult. I ordered my tickets online to see IT chapter 2 with my boyfriend who is also 16 turning 17 soon. Mind you, my mom was with me when I ordered the tickets so I had permission to see the movie. Also, I had saw IT chapter one, another rated R movie, last year with my boyfriend with no problems. I had ordered the tickets with a gift card and then put the additional $2 balance on my debit card. I wasted my other $30 gift card on drinks and popcorn before being told I wasn’t allowed to see the movie. I live 45 minutes away and my mom had to come down and bring my debit card just so I could get a refund on my tickets. The staff were extremely rude and uncooperative and there were almost no other movies playing until another hour later. Myself and about 2 other groups of people weren’t let into the movie and given a hard time about refunds. If Island 16 all of a sudden decided to enforce their rules they should let people know, instead of disappointing many people.

One of the finest theatrical experiences to be had on Long Island. Clean, ultra comfortable and the staff is always accommodating. Highly recomend!

Nice clean theater, they had the reclining seating and a pretty good sound system. The lobby had two concession stands that helped speed up getting our popcorn. And they even had a Starbucks and an ice cream counter. I think its a really nice place to go see a movie.

I used to go here when I was 13-17 but when they took an additional 6 years to finally get recliners I had already left to Regal Ronk. They have good staff, usually terribly long wait lines for candy and snacks, just go to dollar tree and bring them in. The bathrooms are extremely tiny especially for the influx of people. I try to avoid this cinema at all costs, but sometimes you have to go here because they have the most theaters and that tends to mean better show times.

Amazing movie theater. Super helpful staff, great service and a well managed location. There are lot of restaurants in vicinity so you dont have to travel far if you want to eat before or after the movie.

This theatre has gotten much better over the years. They now feature the recliner seats and now it seems cleaner. I often come here for movie date night and always enjoy myself.

I paid using a debit card with the kiosk ($23.00). DECLINED. Tried again just to see if it was me or my card being the issue. DECLINED AGAIN. Used my credit card because maybe it was the debit card. DECLINED once again. I had to pay $24 in cash. The next 2-3 days later I got charged $23 three times. Now who knows if I’ll get the refund since there’s a dispute case. Getting charged around $70 PLUS the cash I paid. $80-90 wasted for NOTHING. Not worth it.

Soft reclining seats. Only a limited about of seats in the theatre which keeps the noise level down. Food delivered to your tray if you desire.

Its a nice theater with very comfortable seating. However, the pricing is absolutely asinine, $15 for one ticket to a standard showing -- ridiculously expensive. The concessions arent much better either, its just overall a very pricey experience. Finally, the bathroom was disgusting. I walked in to a dirty as hell bathroom and looked to my right to see a stall with a clogged toilet that was filled with urine and diarrhea. In my opinion, the cost of the ticket does not justify the overall experience that you get here -- yeah the seats may be comfortable but the bathrooms are going to be the reason Ill likely never come back. After all, who doesnt need to use one after sitting through an entire movie with a drink that they sucked down?

For this old salt who read Marvel comic books as a kid in the late 40s it was exciting to watch the final movie Avengers Endgame. It is my hope that Captain America and the other wonderful Marvel characters will return to the big screen. That would continue to offer fine, strong role models to our youngsters who would be much better prepared to keep America great, patriotic, and to keep America strong.

Best overall theater in Suffolk County. Has the best updated chairs, they recline back far enough to sleep in and they’re massive, plus they have a food tray which is handy. The prices are definitely more than the other theaters around but that’s to be expected. If you’re looking for a cheap movie date this is not the place for you. Thankfully there is a Wendy’s in the parking lot so you aren’t forced to eat more expensively.

It is a big cinema with huge wide screen. the best thing is they offer reclined seat, but not all of seats are reclined. and they offer a lot of movie. if you live in long island, it is a good option when you are going to watch movie.

We love cinema de Lux for special showings of foreign and limited run movies. They have great food, a bar and the most comfortable leather recliners you will ever experience at a movie theater.

The theater was too hot, the speakers werent loud enough (and they usually arent), and the popcorn was basically stale. It didnt taste good at all. The only thing I liked about the experience was the movie itself. So next time, Ill be seeing movies elsewhere instead of wasting my money here.

Very comfortable “leather” reclining seats and now that they accept mobile tickets from apps like Atom or Fandango getting tickets and reserving seats is extremely easy to do. Although they have assigned seating, I recommend still getting there a little early because sometimes people will be sitting in your seat. Totally not the theaters fault, just rude people.They also have a 4D theater. I saw Beauty and the Beast in it a long while back. It was really fun.

This is way better than AMC cinema I usually go watch movies. Came here for the first time during the opening night fan event of Captain Marvel and they gave me free large popcorn & memorabilia coin.The leather recliner seat is nice & comfy. The layout is very nice, theres a wall between a few rows and it helps me focus more on the screen and prevents from light distractions from any inconsiderate people who use their phones during a movie.You can book your ticket from Atom too and the seat selection is super easy. No need to wait in the line for buying tickets and simply scan the QR code from your mobile.

Nice movie theater. the reclining seats are super comfortable. only reason i cant give 5 stars is due to pricing. I paid $20 alone for the movie ticket. we had ate dinner beforehand and thankfully we did. the pricing for candy and popcorn was kind of ridiculous. havent been to this theater in a while but remembered pretty quickly why that was the case.

Saw 4D movie, Dumbo, good movie and 4D effects. Seats comfortable, huge leg room, seats shake and move with 3D scene in front of you, great family fun. Theater was clean, crowd quiet and respectful, popcorn pretty good. Coke was not so good, lots of seltzer, little syrup so not much taste. Cost 152.00 for 7 seats for 2:50 Saturday show. Cheap movies gone with ...change back from your dollar! at Mickey Ds. A good time was had by all though.

I am an avid moviegoer & spend a good deal of time here. I used to praise the standard of cleanliness it held, but not so much anymore. More often than not I am entering a dirty theater that has large amounts of popcorn butter on the floor & seats, & garbage in the cup holders. Weve slipped several times on the butter. Once it was my kid who was on crutches - they are lucky it didnt result in an additional injury. Ive also walked out of there with stained pants from butter on the seats. Since then Ive remembered to always check the seat. Ive brought it to the attention of customer service several times, but it never changes. I was told that I could always come out & tell customer service when I find stuff to have them clean it. WRONG ANSWER. I shouldnt have to do that. Its your job to provide a clean environment for your paying customers.

Been to Island 16 numerous times.In the beginning it was an enjoyable night out, but now it has become more of a horror than most of the Movies playing.It has become a filthy place with bathrooms overflowing, garbage pails not emptied and the reclining seats sticky and reeking of body odor.It is definitely time for a major overhaul and better management.

Honestly, I don’t know what was going on. The diet soda tasted off and the popcorn was completely stale. Given the fact that I spent $15 dollars for just a small popcorn and the soda I expected it to be better. I heard someone else complaining about the popcorn as we were leaving. There was about 6 people behind the counter of the concessions but only one register was open and the person on the register was also the person getting the stuff for you. Why are all those people back there? The staff are all extremely friendly and the theaters are clean and well maintained, but they need to figure out concessions.

The theatre is very clean and the staff is very friendly. The reclining seats are a plus! Concessions are priced as any other theatre. A small soda and small popcorn set me back $11 which is a fair price. Matinee tickets were also $10 which I didnt mind as it was affordable. For those who are a bit confused, as I was, the front section of the auditorium is regular stadium style seating and the back, upper section is reclining seats. Great experience overall.

This is a very nice movie theater, it serves food (Ive never had it, so I dont know if its any good) and candy. The seats are very comfortable and they recline, which is good. The seats also have a little folding table thing, which is new. There is 3D and 4D. There is also a theater where you can feel everything, see all around you, and has great sound. Ive only been in the regular theaters. They all have comfortable seats. You can reserve seats online instead of going there and buying them. There are handicap seats as well. Overall, it is a great movie theater, and I would recommend it to everyone.

Great place for kids on a cold rainy vacation day. Its big so there is room to run around, and there is a small arcade (but most of the games were broken). The theatre was comfortable and clean with intense sound quality and your choice of seating. The commissary has several food options for the kids and there is even a full service bar for the adults.

My first time at this theater and I wish I could live closer to always come here (Im visiting from Florida). Really clean and the snack bar has a great selection. I was in the #10 movie theater and the chairs are recliners, in great condition and I so enjoyed coming here. Im going to hate going back home to my regular movie theater..it doesnt even compare!!

We love this theatre! Starbucks, Ben and Jerrys, and reclining leather seats - what more could you want? Temperature always comfortable. Arcade is fun and well maintained. Popcorn is usually fresh. There is also a small bar/restaurant and a Sbarros/Nathans.

I think this is one of the best theaters around town and you cannot beat the price for Tuesday all day rate of $8.50 plus with your rewards card is an additional $2 off every admission

As of March 2018 I am rating this movie theater a 4 (wish I could give it 4.5) because it is really one o the better theaters out on the Island. You have several other options when in Suffolk but Island 16 definitely is in the top 3. They have a huge waiting area/lobby, with video games and arcades, they also have an eating area/bar, and of coarse your confectionary stand which sells popcorn, hotdogs, nachos, slushies, soft drinks and even has a Starbucks and a Ben & Jerrys. Prices are regular compared to competitors and theater is in a centralized location right off of the LIE 495 exit 62. Last but not least they also have upgraded their seats to the reclining chairs which is super comfy and feels like your in your own private living room. It took them a while to upgrade their seats but Im glad they did, otherwise I would have kept going to Ronkonkoma Regal Cinemas. Overall experience was excellent but the wait times were a bit excessive. First you wait 20 mins for tickets and then another 20 mins for popcorn I missed the previews and the first 6 mins of my movie. This place is fantastic .

Enjoyed coming here with family to watch The Grinch. Plenty of parking, Concession stand had lots of choices. Was able to order tickets online. And print them out there. No waiting time on lines. Place is really clean, so are bathrooms. Will definitely be back.

The theatre is great but if you want concession it is the slowest service ever! Waited 30 minutes to get popcorn and miss the beginning of my movie. Better idea to try and smuggle food in! They only had two people serving while other employees just watched.

Love this theatre! The seats are so comfortable, they have a variety of snacks and the staff is friendly. In fact, I had a problem that I needed to speak with a manager about and waited to speak with a Ms. Chapman. She was handing a problem with a customer who had been yelling at the kids behind the counter about a gift card or something and instead of being flustered when she got to me she was pleasant and helpful. I drive over 30 minutes to get to this theatre and it is worth it.

Good theater. Food was relatively cheap compared to other theatres. The theatres themselves were clean. Lines are relatively small unless youre there on a premiere or within the first week of a big movie.

I love this place! My son loves to go to movies and always picks what we see. The seats recline and are very comfortable so I bring a blanket and go right to sleep if he picks something I dont want to see. But usually we can agree on something. They have great food and friendly staff

Theater is clean. Sound and quality is nice. Seats suck. Front 3 rows do not have recliner seats. The back rows do but do not recline anywhere near as far as they should and you are so far away from the screen I rather watch a movie at home.

After 15 family members and I come to this theater and always got sodas refills today they refused to honor when buy a biggest combo. We even talk to manager but failed to honor. Not happy at all
