A year ago my parents came down to visit from Michigan, we were looking for a fun, creative experience! Family had an awesome time, check in was a breeze, staff extremely courteous and friendly. Joe was very informative and fun teaching us to create master pieces of glass. Teenage boys enjoyed, should i say more.

What a blast! Something I always wanted to do and finally got to thanks to Groupon. I purchased one for the glass art and one for an ornament. The glass art was mostly sculpting the molten glass and the ornament you got to blow! The staff is super friendly and helpful. They do most of the hard work and then tell you how to do the shaping and smoothing. You also get to pick the colors for your art. I took my daughter and she loved it! We’re definitely going back!

Hollywood Hot Glass is amazing! I started with the 10 week group course and fell in love with glass blowing! Brenna and Joe are such great teachers! I love coming here, it’s such a fun and unique experience!

I wanted to try a new experience for my Birthday so we went to Hollywood Hot Glass and I am so glad that I did! They have several different items you can make like a paperweight, tumbler glass, wave vase, ruffle bowl, and ornaments. I chose the wave vase. Jessica was our artist who guided us through the creation of my wave vase. I selected a darker glass with specks of color for the base and a light aqua color for the top. After selecting the colors, Jessica pulled some clear glass and then added the colors. She guided me through the process of blowing the glass into its form and adding the “wave” to the top. It was such a wonderful hands on experience with a talented instructor. I am planning to go back to try my hand at another one of their projects and can’t wait until I do. Thank you Jessica & Hollywood Hot Glass for making my Birthday memorable with my own creation to enjoy for years to come!

Perfect date night activity -- actually it was a double date...The experience began with easy registration with Liz. She was so welcoming and friendly. We chose our projects and met our instructor Erika. Erika answered all of our questions. She provided patient instruction as we heated, shaped and blew the glass. Erika smiled through the entire process even when our glass did something we, as novices, were not expecting.In the end, we had beautiful pieces of glass and memories of a new and fun experience. I highly recommend an exploration of glassblowing. No special skills are required, just a readiness for a uniquely enjoyable experience.

My mom and I attend this fire blowing class. And wow! What a great experience. They take you through each and every step. Our teacher Erika was an awesome guide. Stumbled upon this place and ended up watching a really interesting glass show. I have seen a few in different places and they’re work was really nice. It’s a nice gem in Hollywood. The show is free, plus they offer classes and glassware for sale at good prices.

I recently visited Hollywood Hot Glass and had a great experience! We went on a chilly day so it was the perfect place to warm up. My husband and I made a heart paperweight with Erika. She was very patient and sweet. I will definitely be bringing my friends and family here!

Hollywood Hot Glass was FANTASTIC! Kids and us went and all had a good time. Each of us made something - lots of fun, GREAT direction. Everyone from the phone to reception to our instructor (Erica - more about her later) to the other teachers. And you are the one do it! Great colors. Lots of different things to make. Erica was AMAZING! When we go back - and there is no doubt that all of us want to go back - we want to work with her again! If you haven’T TRIED get down there NOW!

It is an art studio and gallery. They offer classes at different levels. For the whole family. They also sell glass pieces. The place is super cool and it is well organized. The staff is nice. I haven’t taken any classes yet but I can’t wait to bring my family. It is located in the young circle park next to the auditorium. They do have access for wheelchairs and the restrooms are conveniently located next door.

Our Girl Scout troop went to Hollywood Hot Glass today and had an amazing time creating their own pieces of glass artwork! This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience! What great memories!!Thank you Jessica and team for your hospitality!

This was so much fun! The teacher was awesome and very patient. They play great music to in the background when you are making your glass bowl. I will be back and would highly recommend trying this craft!

This was a great place and a fun, educational experience. We opted for small ornaments. Our master artist Richard took us through all the steps and explained the physics and artistry behind our creations. This is also a great place to just sit and watch the glass being blown. Too much fun, we cant wait to book another session!

We had a fantastic time learning and actually blowing in the studio. Very fun thing to do - even for first timers like us.Our artist was very knowledgeable and open to us asking questions. Highly recommended, even if you just watch. We will be back soon for sure!

My 12 year old grandson and I had a great experience at Hollywood Hot Glass. From meeting Chris at reception to the glass blowing experience with Brenna it was truly a day we wont forget. My grandson is already planning his next visit!!!

My family went to Hollywood Hot Glass with a Groupon. Our kids are 14 and 12 and everyone had a great time! Richard was our instructor, he was Awesome! Informative, funny and definitely skilled. We went on a Thursday around 7 with a reservation. One note is you have to return the next day or so to pick up your piece. We went back on Sat night to pick it up and the place was packed. Definitely recommend midweek, we had the place to ourselves. If youre looking for something interesting and artsy, definitely try this place! Well be back next year! Thanks Richard!

We did a glass blowing workshop here for 4 people and made ornaments. It was quite informative and a lot of fun to actually go through the process of making the ornaments. Would recommend for a family outing.

I purchased a Groupon for a large item glass blowing session for two. I had no idea what to expect. My wife and I made 2 items a bowl and a heart. Let me tell you, that my we had a blast. Christian and entire staff were awesome. Yes, you absolutely get to assist in the making of your item. If you are looking for something fresh and new to experience, check this place out you will not be disappointed. You just have to give your item 12 hrs to cool and then you can take it home. I definitely will do this again.

Walked in and took an introductory glass blowing class. It was a lot of fun and the instructors were on point. It was my first time and I had no idea what to expect but I got to make something so beautiful and had fun in the process.

It was a great and romantic experience for my girlfriend and I as we made a glass heart for our 2nd anniversary. Mike was our instructor and he did a great job coaching us in the very memorable experience. The piece came out great and they even engraved the back for us. My only issue was that I ordered a gift card online a month in advance and did not receive until two days after our appointment. They apologized and honored it regardless. Still the experience was terrific!

I came across Hot Glass and asked if they would be willing to help me in designing a piece that would include her ashes. Without hesitation they accepted. This is so much fun. Went one day and made a paperweight; liked it so much I went back 2 days later and made a bowl. Christina did an awesome job videotaping my bowl and Richard was a great instructor when I did the paperweight. Breanna was my instructor for the bowl and I’m super excited to see how it turns out. A group of four of us went tonight because a friend told us they went before and it was awesome. We absolutely loved it!! Richard made the experience super great and kept us laughing the whole time. Definitely a “hot” experience and I highly recommend trying!

This place is amazing! My friends and I came out to celebrate my birthday and overall had an amazing time. When we got there we checked in for the appointment that I made. The young lady that assisted us was very nice and forthcoming with information. Once we were all settled we headed out back to begin our fun.The venue itself wasn’t what I pictured; not in a bad way though. I just thought it was indoors for some reason. Ericka and Jessica (I think that was her name) was our instructors for the day. Two of my friends had gone before me and had two totally different experiences as did some others.Jessica was very attentive and promoted us getting pictures since it was for my birthday celebration and it was our first time. In fact she was the one that reminded us because we were so caught in watching. Everyone that had her loved her, including me. Now Ericka on the other hand, my friends that had her were not feeling the warm fuzzies. Fortunately for me, I did not have her for my experience.Instead of actually allowing them to participate in some of the steps that they could, she rushed them to what we took as her trying to rush and get it over with. When she first came out to assist our group she said sternly as if she were dealing with an unruly group of students, “come on who’s going? Let’s go”. When it was down to my friend girl and myself that needed to go, my friend girl told me that she asked “what do I have next?” My friend girl answered “a tumbler and a paperweight”. Ericka replied “oh I’ll take the paperweight.” Again totally not offended because I wanted a good experience and got it. And let’s not mention the fact that she dropped the precious paperweight that she wanted to do. When my final member arrived and Ericka assisted her, she practically did the whole thing. All my friend was able to do was blow into her ornament. No spinning it in the fire, no spinning it while she was blowing in it (like I was allowed to). Everyone that had Ericka, I was not able to get any pictures of them. She was moving around so fast. She basically just walked them around and semi explained certain steps as she did it. The whole point of this is to be apart of the experience as much as we could. With what was experienced today, we should have simply put in an order and had someone to do it for us.To Jessica, if that was her name, thank you for providing two of us with such an awesome experience! You made our experience worthy of coming back; as long as you’re working of course.Unfortunately three of friends felt rushed and short changed and that is the reason for this 3 star review. While I’m tempted to just give it a 1 or 2 star, I cannot let the experience with Ericka completely negate the others experience with Jessica.

In 2013, Hollywood Hot Glass was opened in Arts Park in Young Circle by glass artist Brenna Baker. Baker learned to blow glass at the Corning Museum in New York and she trained in Murano Italy with the famous glass blower Pino Signoretto, You can see some of Brennas work inside the building. She creates installations and commission work.Thanks to Hollywood Hot Glass now anyone can learn to blow glass at the workshops held here. You can walk in to a workshop and in 20 minutes create a piece of glass art. Pieces range from $50 to $100 but they currently have two offers for less money on Groupon where you can create an ornament or a starfish or heart piece. During the workshops you get to do the fun part and the staff instructor does the hard work. If you arent sure yet that you want to participate you can also watch the process for free from the bleachers.This a unique and fun activity and you get to leave with a beautiful keepsake. Children as young as 4 can even participate but to get the most out of the experience children should be at least 8 years old. This would be great for a date or even as a gift. Hollywood Hot Glass is putting the art into the Arts Park in Young Circle.

Richard was not only a fabulous instructor, but made us feel extremely welcome and entertained. Thanks to him I was able to craft a gorgeous tumbler and cant wait to drink out of it!

What a fantastic experience! My wife and I went not quite sure what to expect, well, we had a great time and would definitely do it again. Richard was our assigned artist, to say we had a great time with him is an understatement. He was patient answering all of our questions and was genuinely happy sharing some of the chemistry behind the glass colors. We had a bunch of laughs together making the pieces which made it even more fun. His love for working with glass really showed. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is thinking about doing this!

We had a good time here. The staff was very nice and engaging. The experience is hands on and lasts about 30 minutes. Because you get so little instruction in the short time period, your participation is pretty limited. However, we still had a good time :) Its a nice date night activity. Whatever you make will have to set overnight so you cant take it home with you that evening. You can pick it up in a couple days or they will ship it to you for a fee.

We had our lesson with Richard, and he was amazing. He was a lot of fun to work with and he taught us a lot about soft glass and how it works. Well definitely be back to create some more works of art! They have a great establishment in an open area with ample seating for people to view. Dont second guess this place if youre looking for something new and interesting to do. You have to check it out. They have great prices and they offer a groupon which we utilized.

Hollywood Hot Glass is a gem hidden in Hollywoods Young Circle ArtsPark. Having the opportunity to try glassblowing is something I thought was impossible, but have always wanted. I first went with my girlfriends. I then went with my mother. I was thrilled to find out that my 5 and 7 year olds could participate also, so I returned two more times to give each of my boys the opportunity. We were all fortunate to have Christian Gerena as our instructor. Christian is very talented and has the ability to communicate to people at every skill level including children. I cant tell you how excited my kids were to go to school and share their experience. I now have three beautiful pieces and some incredible memories. I cant wait to go back!

I came with a group of friends and brought my 9 year old. Robert helped her make a snowman for Christmas. She was nervous at first but Robert totally put her at ease. Christian helped me. He was funny and personable. I’ll be bringing my nephews when they visit!!

Recently visited Hollywood Hot Glass with a group of about 13 people. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. They answered all of our questions and of course helped us through the entire process. I do wish it was a bit more hands on, but I understand the precautions that need to be take with 2000 degree heat lol. Great experience overall!

Had an amazing experience last weekend at Hollywood Hot Glass. I would highly recommend this place for all ages and types of people. My boyfriend and I are the furthest from being creative/artistic and we had a great time! We just moved into a new home and decided to make a bowl for our fruit. The bowl is absolutely beautiful. The entire staff were very friendly, helpful, informative, and made the process so much fun! They walk you through step by step and explain every little detail in the process. Took an introductory glassblowing class with my mom. Each of us picked out a design to work on, chose the colors we liked, then had staff members guide us each through the process of blowing and stretching the glass. Everyone was fun and helpful, and both of our pieces turned out better than we wouldve expected. Worth checking out for a cool hands-on introduction into a unique way of making art.

Booked a Groupon deal directly with them over the phone for 4 people...we had the time of our lives. We originally booked for the small item glassblowing session but we upgraded when we arrived to the larger items in order to make tumblers. Christian was amazing!!! Funny and informative. I have always been fascinated with glass blown items. As my previous birthday plans had to be scrubbed due to bad weather, I opted to go to this venue. You select the item you want to make and prepay. Mic was my assigned artist. He walked and talked me through the process of making a heart. It was very informative and enjoyable. After you have created your item, it has to be left onsite to cool, for 12 hours. I returned the next day to get my heart and now have it showcased on my coffee table. They are even able to engrave it for you. I had mine engraved, birthday 2018.

Had absolutely no idea how they make beautiful glass pieces. Great learning experience and you get to keep a beautiful piece of glass of your own. Good idea for a date or just a fun thing to do with friends.

We had an awesome time creating a vase and ruffled bowl with Richard! The experience was fun, interactive, hot, and mesmerizing! He explained all the steps skillfully and gave us some background information about the rationale behind the steps. We will definitely do it again!!

Had fun making a bowl (with some serious assistance from the talented Anissa and friends at the studio). Great to come and create something special or just watch the artists in action. Hollywood Hot glass was amazing experience! Its my first time there Im already ready to go back! I chose to make a paperweight and I even able to choose my own colors combination which was awesome! The best part of the experience was when I was able to interact with the instructor while creating the piece and in no way I felt like I was in any danger during the process.

Hollywood Hot Glass was a super fun hands-on experience with glass. Each of the various workshops allow you to create a beautiful piece of art that you can infuse with your own color/design. The best part is that whatever glass piece you make has your own personal touch. The instructors are very kind and welcoming, and allow you to do as much of the work that you want when creating your glass piece.

Took my father here when he came down for a visit and Im so glad I did! We had always wanted to blow glass but didnt think wed ever find a place that would let us take part. This was an awesome experience. Staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. They gladly let me take a hundred pictures right there on the floor. And prices were beyond reasonable. I made a large flower with 3 colors for 40. My dad made a tumbler with 3 colors for 55. We requested his be shipped which is an additional 30 but figured it was worth it since they are experienced in shipping glass. Im already trying to get my next house guest to go just so I can do it again! Very Pleased!!!!!

My wife and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary by creating a heart-shaped paperweight in a private class at Hollywood Hot Glass. All I can say is it was the absolute perfect way to commemorate the occasion. Dorian helped us fashion a spectacular, one-of-a-kind piece of art that we will cherish for years to come. She was personable, professional, and attentive, and truly made our weekend special. Thank you, Dorian and Hollywood Hot Glass for an exceptionally memorable experience. Wed love to do it again, and recommend them highly to anyone interested in a unique experience that explores and celebrates art, beauty, and life through a fascinating medium.

My husband and I had an appointment today with Dorian . She is a talented artist and made our visit so special ! Her knowledge and understandings of our needs were graciously understood and handled with poise and compassion.The Studio is cool with such amazing pieces to look at . Parking was a breeze and we really enjoyed our time spent at the studio! I took my 8 year old daughter to Hollywood Hot Glass a few weekends ago and we had such an awesome experience! The staff was super friendly and they were so good with her. My daughter tends to be a little shy and scared of new things and they really got to know her personality and made her feel so comfortable. They walked her through every step of the process and carried on regular conversation with her to make her feel right at home. She really enjoyed it and is already asking to go back to make something else. The best part of the experience is I now have a beautiful vase in my house to fill with fresh flowers. They also have a really nice store with beautiful pieces that were made by the owner and staff. They also provide a background story of each staff member which I really enjoyed reading. I was really impressed with the whole experience from the moment I walked in until the moment I left. Such a talented group of professionals:) Cant wait to go back!

I did my first workshop last weekend with a friend after stopping in a few times to observe others. This was an unforgettable experience and one I will cherish for a lifetime. We had such a great time, laughed so hard and made a cool piece of art. The staff was welcoming and explained the process in a way that I could understand as a newbie. I had so much fun that I am going back this weekend to do another workshop with my mom. Thank you Hollywood Hot Glass!
