Great people! Owners are awesome and very helpful. They tell you the truth even if it means getting what you need from somewhere else. Only place Ill go for my reptile needs. Got our new bearded dragon from there.

I visited this place a few years back and always said that when I bought my first snake I would get it from here. They were so clean, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful at the time and today I purchased my first snake and they were AMAZING!!! I mean really extremely kind, helpful, patient, and so HONEST!! Seriously, Ive always had a questionable opinion/view of any type of pet store but this place isnt even in that category. Clean, no smell, animals are clearly well cared for and it is obvious that the owners/employees really love the animals and love hat they do. Wouldnt want to go anywhere else!

Cant say enough about this place, the owners and staff are knowledgable and always willing to answer your questions. They have a good selection of quality reptiles as well as exotic fish.

The animals are infested with mites and poorly cared for. The owners were rude when I mentioned the mites and poor condition of the animals. Definitely wont be back...

I feel lied to and taken advantage of.Paid for a CB animal. No WAY this monitor was CB. Maybe the people here dont understand the difference between CB and Farm Bred or maybe they straight up lied to me knowing full well that its wild caught.. Either way, this is NOT a CB animal.

We bought our Albino Ball Python here about a week ago. She is so sweet, has no problem with my 2 girls (4 and 6) holding her. She did great with her first meal (first meal is free). Nothing but good things to say about the staff. Every time Ive been in there the whole staff has been personable and informative.

Super nice people. They hatch there own lizards and snakes!! They really care about are reptiles and fish. They are pricey but you most likely wont get a sick animal because they make sure to keep them well

We love this pet store! Its strictly aquatics and reptiles. The animals are well cared for and visibly healthy which is why we only bring our business to Scales and Tails since we discovered them. They have the best live feed for our reptiles too, unlike the competitor we used to go to.

Visited the Daytona Beach area for the holidays. On our way home, we stopped by Scales and Tails yesterday. For a pet store it was clean and didnt smell of foul odors. Although they didnt have what we were looking for (Nosey Be Panther Cham) the gentleman was very helpful and knowledgeable in solving our dilemma. He also gave us information on how to find what we were looking for. They have another store in Eustis, closer to our home. We plan on making a trip up there as well.

Scales and tails always has the most friendly staff ever. Their animals are VERY well taken care of and they will help you with any questions you have and even let you hold some animals. They have tons of amazing supplies for your reptiles. If you want to get amazing reptiles and have the best supplies... I highly reccomend it!!!! :)

They take really good care of all their animals the cages were very clean it didnt smell bad for reptile place the fish were very nice with clean habitat

Love this place! Bought both our snakes here a year ago, they were healthy, well maintained and cared for. We have continued to buy our rats here since. They have a very friendly staff and they are always there to help with any questions.

I have mixed feelings about this review because the people who work here were so nice but I bought a beautiful spider morph male ball python last week on Wednesday from them Ive been handling him the past few days only to find out hes infested with mites. They are in his eyes as well as under his scales I cant even pick him up without having a bunch crawling over my hands. I dont own any other reptiles and I over cleaned everything I put into his cage with bleach and water. I bought a coconut husk substrate from them so I know for a fact that the mites were a pre existing issue before I even bought him now Im out more money pretty much wasted my money on the coconut husk substrate cause now I have to throw it all out and quarantine him to try and address this issue. If you decide to purchase a reptile from them I urge you to look very close

The new ownership is far superior.Not to air the previous owners dirty laundry, but the lack of quality was somewhat justified. But I digress.The tanks are cleaner, animals happier, and the service is much more consistent. I would heartily recommend them.If I had to criticize anything it would be that some of the animals are priced rather high, but for how tame the animals are, I can understand the increase.

Love coming here. Very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly staff. Not sure where some of these negative reviews are getting their information but I personally have never seen anything bad or harmful to the animals. The store has always been very clean and the animals have always appeared well cared for. I will definitely keep doing business with them rather then some large chain store. Dont go if youre scared of snakes, spiders, or scorpions. Otherwise this is a great little pet store with friendly and helpful staff and a great selection of pet supplies and equipment.

If you are into REEF AQUARIUM you gotta come see this place. Huge selection of reasonably priced corals. All shapes, colors, and sized and the owner doesnt mind taking the time to help you select what is right for you and share his knowledge of the hobby.

Probably the best pet store in central Florida for fish and reptiles. Incredibly clean, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and healthy animals. One of the few pet stores Ive ever gone into without feeling bad for the animals. Plus it doesnt feel like theyre just after your money. The staff helped answer all my questions and were super polite. Once Im ready to get a bearded Dragon, Im definitely going back here.

This is a nice store with lots of reptile supplies. They have a few salt water fish, some freshwater fish and several reptiles (lots of chameleons) and live food for reptiles for sale. Lots of tanks and tank options. Staff is friendly and knowledgable.

Scales and tails is amazing. I got my ball python from there and I return there for his food, hidey holes, bedding, everything. Theyre wonderful and actually care about the reptiles. Highly recommend!

Came here after a disappointing time at the Breeders Showcase reptile show. Was happy to get some great device and some beautiful hardscape materials. All of thier animals were in great condition. Will definitely stop by next time Im in Daytona.

Whoever fed their lemur something and killed it, I hope someone feeds you something toxic so you experience the same death.This place is great, they tried to have something special but apparently the locals arent intelligent enough to read MULTIPLE SIGNS that say not to feed them.I wish the best for this place even though their customers arent smart enough to not kill an animal.

They have a great variety of animals. Staff is friendly and helpful. The building is very small but clean. Not to crowded either. Very nice place to purchase fish and repitles.

I stopped by this store recently, and while Im cant speak to the health and conditions that their fish are kept in, their reptiles are in bad conditions. Overcrowded enclosures (four almost fully grown day geckos in a 20-tall, with marks from where they may be getting in fights) and an extremely emaciated leopard gecko, with its body half the width of its head. Snakes didnt seem so bad, maybe a little overfed.This is a horrible business and I hope the owners learn to keep their animals in more healthy conditions, but until they do, I wont be returning.

Absolutely Amazing! The variety of fish and other scaled reptiles are fun just to look at! I get all my food for my critter babies there! and supplies. If they dont have what I came in for April is also happy to locate and place an order to get it! She has even kept an eye out for specific animals that we are looking for! Could not have asked to have a better reptile store in the area!!

Have a yellow belly slider turtle.
