The stuff are genuine nice people. Especially when they assisted me when I bought two different showtimes. Will definitely be coming back!

Its one of the few cinemas open but, the picture quality was poor. The contrast and brightness were off, so the screen was moving darker than it shouldve been.

Old School style movie theater, nice Staff and clean facility.

Clean, helpful, friendly, polite, if noisy but fun young staff! I like the upper level with its seating/lounge area. There was a glitch in Screen 5s room the day I was there, but the Assistant Manager cleared it up in a jiffy (no sound) by restarting it, once I ran down to warn her. Great theatre, comfortable, some of the screen auditoriums are quite large with nearly 300 seats. Good sound...DOLBY is available on some offerings and it makes it feel so REAL! A bit out of the way on public transportation, but there is a bus right down and around the corner (Hoboken, NJ), VERY convenient to parking, if you are driving.

Excellent place to watch a film with the family. Best popcorn in NJ!Would be 5 stars but during a recent matinee showing of Star Wars I couldn’t help but notice what sounded like a gentleman sobbing uncontrollably through the wall about a recent relationship ending.There’s either a soundproofing issue between the theatre and the neighboring residential structure or this poor gentlemen was really having a go at his boohoo session.Regardless, great theatre!

Third floor of stairs to watch a movie. Plenty of staff attentive everything looks modern. But very small and if not very early you wont find a seat.Sometimes they dont notice movie started to turn off the lights, ️Is not bad, if you know what you are going for.

Theater is only option in Hoboken. Nice seating depending on which theater your movie is showing. Wish they had better options for food..

Chairs are OLD, parking is scarce. I guess the only good thing of this theater is that is only one in the Hoboken, Weehawken area! Look at this review as a 2 1/2 stars, only for convenience and sound. You could go other movie theaters in the Hudson area for better experience and quality.

Good backup place when everywhere else is full. Still stuck in the past, no seat reservations. AV systems are fine.

Not a bad movie theater. Pretty standard in regards to options on how to buy your tickets, concession sticks to classics like popcorn, candy, etc. No parking though, this sucks especially that now Hoboken has metered the local streets near the theater. Ticket prices are actually cheaper compared to other local theaters. Chairs are comfy even if they arent recliners. Theyre also kept pretty clean, could be better but no sticky seats or surprise gum on arm rests. Id recommend it!

Check out the deals on some nights. The theater is clean and well located. Dont forget to pick up a snack too. On street metered parking, free on Sunday. Be careful where you park. Read the signs.

It’s great to have a movie theater in Hoboken. Tickets are cheaper than in the city, but you can’t goose the seat you want (it’s first come first serve) nor you can lie down or stretch your legs...

Super weird layout, but the experience is enjoyable overall. It could definitely use some renovation on the seats since they arent all those nice, big reclining seats that a lot of theaters have now. However, the seats are still decently comfortable. I care way more about the crowd and people being quiet and have never had any issues in that regard.

Pretty nice theater. No luxury seating with recliners, but great prices on Tuesdays - half price tickets are $7. Saw the new spiderman at 9pm and also ordered a hotdog with fries. Had to wait to get my order and missed the first few minutes of the movie, but I didnt mind. Might have been a hassle if I was a more die-hard fan.

$7 Tuesdays, clean seats, giant fresh bowls, good surround sound. Such a good theatre.

Never again. They turned on the lights in the room above the theater during the movie causing a glare on the screen took 20 minutes to get someone to turn them off. Sound also went off in the middle of the movie twice. Worst viewing experience ever.

This place is clean and cute but super small. The seats arent small but comfy leather seats. I wouldnt choose this location to watch a major film like avengers infinity war or something as big as avatar but for everything else, given the location, why not. The only issue I have with this location is parking. Unlike most movie theaters, Bow Tie Cinemas is more if a neighbor theater hence no need for parking area. So if youre driving to this location, then be ready to have to drive around and look for street side parking.

Super expensive for such small theater rooms, no reclinable chairs, and the popcorn was salty and saggy...

Need to get movies that are up for awards. Its award season, show movies that are nominated.

This place is beautiful I usually go to Newport Mall which is a few stops away on the lightrail until my friend invited me here i felt in love. Is so clean and the staff is so polite and i love watching the movie after a great service.

All you have to know is go here on Tuesday and don’t see a movie if it’s playing upstairs. Do that and you’ll have an awesome time.

Theater staff seemed kind of clueless/incompetent--they couldnt figure out how to print our tickets and then they kept giving excuses about the concessions. Beyond that, the movie started about ten minutes late and then at the end they cut it short right before the credits started. Additionally, once they cut off the movie screen, the entire theater remained dark. Pretty careless and frankly dangerous. Really soured the entire experience.

Small places surprisingly not overly expensive. Good seat they dont recline though, decent prices for drinks and snacks but why dont they have a water fountain? Nice staff too

Convenient spot if you want to watch a movie last minute and cant reserve a seat online at the nearest AMC in Newport Mall. The seats could be better because theyre super old and cracked leather which is uncomfortable, especially if youre wearing shorts.

Really upset me how they handle a bum movie. On Fathers day I get out to my first movie in over a year because my wife took the kid. I go to see Solo and the movie craps out. Fair enough I can deal with it. Then someone just comes in says he were sorry folks but just go to the lobby and well refund you. No mention of you can go to another movie or get a refund and a free pass on top of that. Im not cheap but its a nice gesture to offer a movie since ours didnt run. Then the icing on the cake we go to the lobby and its all backed up with them trying to refunds one at a time. Stop being cheap and just hand out free passes quickly. Everyone would have taken those if it was an extra movie involved and walked out. Horrible management to let this happen like that.

I love going to this theatre! It is a little older than some, but that can be an advantage when we decide to see a movie last-minute & dont want to worry about reserving seats. Staff are always nice. Great location from Jersey City Heights & not far from bus stops.

Good local theatre, got last minute tickets to Detective Pikachu and barely got there in time but there were plenty of seats available. I think because they dont do reserved seating fewer people go here now.

I had a little miss communication on the phone with an employee. Santana was at the theatre on a very busy Saturday and willing to help! She was kind and patient. Great service to their patrons.

My husband and I ended up over here after a power outage at Clifton (which we already had tickets to) but hey, we are local so we decided to check it out after some nice photos and online reviews and there was a 3pm movie we wanted to catch after our 2:30pm at Clifton was cancelled.So, I dont know if this place has gone down hill fast or what...but seats were old and felt like they would break, the sound of the movie we could barely hear it!! Also, do they ever dust or clean the screen? The screen edges were brown! Gross!! Also, I suffer from allergies to dust, mold, dustmites and basically a lot of indoor allergies. I take meds regularly. I legit was feeling my.throat close up from reaction to the allergies in the space and had my inhaler close incase. My nose was somewhat itchy (But I had taken meds that day already).The staff that I ran into was courteous and the bathrooms were clean, so that was a plus..Safe to say though. I probably wont be returning.

This theatre is very close to Jersey City Heights (walking distance from the elevator at 9th Street / Congress) if you dont want to treck to the Newport Mall. However, the cinema is a bit dated. That said, they offer matinee prices for $10 which is a good price.

Good prices good theater but depending on what time you go there are ether people who dont care or people who want to help you still a great place oh and nice area as well

Great location, super clean movie theater with friendly staff. Street parking usually available in the area for those driving, either free 4-hour or municipal pay. For many, this is a walkable location as well. Downstairs and upstairs theaters, including restrooms on each level. $6 Super Tuesdays, all movies all day, which is a great deal. Well run/operated and can buy tickets through Fandango. Features most/all new movies, including childrens, and in 3D where applicable. All around an excellent choice for your cinema excursion!

Been here plenty of times. staff is great, service is above par considering it is a small theater. food is as good as larger theaters. wish they had more movies here but on block busters you can always get a ticket to see it here.

As far as movie theaters go, this one is pretty good. The options in the Hoboken area are not great, but for a small theater, this one is decent. Its clean, the seats are comfortable and maintained well. But most of all, the sound and picture are great. Not too loud, not too soft... Just right. They actually care what the movie-going experience is.

Good venue. I prefer smaller theaters. The plus. No ghetto crowd unlike Clifton theaters. Lol

Family owned, reasonably priced and very well maintained!! Our fav cinemas to go to. Wish the parking situation was little more organized, on a good day street side parking is easy though.

This place should be awesome given that its pretty much the only cinema in Hoboken, yet it fails on most aspects.. plenty of staff but they spend more time talking to each other than serving clients, food menu is reduced to extreme and wait time is ridiculous. They are no match for the Newport Mall cinema close by.

Yeah, its a pretty chill theater. Nothing crazy good or crazy bad. Just a cool little theater. I remember they used to have mint bowls upstairs, but have since been removed a while ago.

Love the theater, super-clean, great staff. BUT the previews nearly made me deaf!!! SO LOUD. Why why why-oh-why on gods green earth would you make anything that loud?! Ugh. It was an incredibly unpleasant experience. And I used to like previews.

Not too good of a theater. Sure, the texture and seats may be luxurious, but the service is really bad. And they have no electronic ticket machines! Thats the worst part! Food is so-so. The popcorn, however, is delicious. Other than that, Id rather go to AMC Theaters and Regal.

Bow Tie Cinema in Hoboken, NJ is not a huge sprawling theater but, thats okay. Its a low-key, quaint, theater experience, in a nice neighborhood. Seats are comfortable and the theater rooms arent large at all but, thats not a bad thing either. This theater may want to think about investing a little more in their interior, itll pay off, for sure.

This is a wonderful theater that has a great selection of all of the newest movies. The seats are very comfortable and are made of leather. The popcorn tatsed great and they had a vast amount of other items to choose from. Some of the seats did show their age though.

An issue with the projector caused the opening credits to be paused and started over. Understandable, gets worse: Didn’t turn on the house lights after the movie- safety hazard. Trash overflowing from bins- staff sitting around chatting. Bad service, especially for a Saturday night.

This theatre has a great selection of movies, VERY clean and comfortable and almost never over crowded.. And the popcorn is always fresh. Cant ask for much more.

Not a lot of people know this place and I think we should keep it that way and protect it :p. The crowd here is very classy, the place is neat & conveniently located and is much preferable to any other places close-by in Jersey area.

Smelled funny, popcorn all over the floors, and the floors were sticky.

If your in Hoboken or anywhere in walking distance...otherwise if your using your car...much better theaters to choose from.
