Balmy weather, moved swiftly around the course, always great employees, and the fairways and greens were lush for mid-November...

Entire tee box’s with no grass on it, bare and dead fairways with little to no grass almost the entire length. One or two little ponds and no sand traps. Old golf carts that are slow and sometimes barely work. Extremely slow pace of play. Will not be back and am extremely disappointed that I spent my money there. Only positive side was people working were kind.

I booked this course after reading the many positive reviews. However, after playing I had to double check that I looked at the right reviews. There is absolutely zero fairways just tore up not well maintained grass. The greens are well maintained but for the price I would not play here again.

Cant go wrong with a round here. Set in the forest preserves, a very pretty and well-maintained set of forgiving 9 holes. Described as a freak of nature by one pro shopper there, eloquently capturing its legendary drainage capacity.

Nine hole course that is supposedly the longest nine in Cook County. Is a Forest Preserve course with reasonable prices and its pretty well maintained. Nice staff and the carts are good. Drink prices are reasonable, too. Couple of par 5s that are fairly long. Overall very good.

Course has no sand traps, it does have lots of woods along fairways and around the greens so be prepared to lose some balls.

Review №17

Good not great. Cook county forest preserve course. No real fairways or rough just grass a little shorter cut. There are no bunkers on the course and greens are in fair shape. The bad is the t box. Almost unusable and most you have to hit from somewhere else. Course is good for beginners and average golfers. On the weekend they had a grill set up at the 6th hole. Was nice while you wait since its a par 3. The weekends can be rough to play since there is no ranger to speed play or keep pace. I know most regular courses dont have one but every weekend I played here had been pretty bad. Taking 3hrs or more to play 9 with cart. They do have specials all the time with a giveaway a drink or sometimes golf balls. Overall at discount price and if played during week not a bad course.

Not a bad price but for the quality of customer service no price is worth being treated like that. They didn’t have keys for their golf carts so I was told to use my car keys. The ranger was harassing a little kid that was partnered with us.Also be ware of the hot Dogs they are 4 dollars a piece and then on top of it they only have ketchup and mustard. First off CHICAGO get some onions, celery salt, sports peppers, tomatoes(if you like that) and at least relish.I might go here again if the price is 10$/ 9 holes or less but for nothing more I’ll tell you that.

Nice course! I liked coming here the most out of the two in the area. Pretty easy course which is always good for practice. Few tricky holes, but that’s what makes it fun. Course is well taken care of. Won a long drive contest here during the week a few years ago, and got a free Callaway tri-fold towel.

Long yardage, but the FIRM fairways make it not so long. A couple tee boxes and greens are in ugly shape.

I like to play there it is a simple course without pronounced hills or andando traps. The main challenge is the forest side to the fairways

Very long 9 hole course exceptionally well maintained when I went last week. Starter is a good guy who gave me a ton of info playing my first time here. Decently priced for weekday play.

Came out for a round of FOOT GOLF with my girlfriend and our twelve year-old daughters. Beautiful course. Pleasant, Helpful, Attentive staff. My only beef might be that a.few of the holes are not even with the ground; ball catches the plastic lip and skips off or over. Effort has been made to correct this at some holes, but not all. Despite this, this imperfection fails to rise to the level of a ratings hit. Five-stars for this course. Well be back.

Even though we paid for our round of golf after booking via GolfNow, they decided we hadnt actually played, even though they always take down your name and number, and charged me for 3 rounds of golf, months later. They could have easily cleared situation, but had no interest in being helpful. On topOf that, this course is not good.

Ive played here a couple times this summer. Its a great course for the casual golfer. Friendly staff, food and beer at the hospitality tent on the 4th tee, good prices, and NO SAND TRAPS all add up to a really good time. Night golf was a lot of fun, too. (Friday nights after 8 PM) Certainly an interesting experience!

Nice and long 9-hole course for those who dont like sand traps. This track doesnt have any. Bring your driver cause youll need it from the back tees on some of the long par 4s and one of the par 5s.

Ri

The 9 hole Cook County Forest Preserve Course is more often than not in excellent condition. The course drains well and is a challenge at 3400 yards from the blue tees. The rates, especially if you have a Forest Preserve Golf card, are very low. I would recommend the course to everyone, from beginner to scratch golfer. The only drawback is that it can get quite crowded and slow.

I rate 5 stars because the service is just so damn good! These guys truly love your business. They appreciate everyone who steps foot on the course. I would not say that this is a very challenging course. No bunkers. But it drains very well for a course in this region. Ive played after a rainstorm with no problems. One challenge is how long the course is. Two par 5s that are very long. On hole #3, Ive landed the green in two shots one time, 300yd drive and 200+ shot from fairway. Both par 3s are at or over 200yds (blue tees). A few doglegs. If you have a great tee shot on 7 (par 4) you have a good chance at birdie. Hole 1 is tough to birdie. Hit over the big tree on hole 2, and loft it, you will be golden, but hit it too hard and you bounce down into the pond. Great practice course. And pretty average to above average pace of play. Greens are in good shape. Fairways and fringe are average shape.

Jo
Review №48

This is a great course, and is not a shorty par-3 by any means. It is supposed to be the longest 9-hole course in Illinois. One of the par-5s is around 550 yards, both par-3s are 180+ yards (hole number 8 always plays longer - usually hitting a 3-metal from the tee), and the par-4s are all in the 330+ range. Pretty wide open, no sand, but trees can bring trouble on a couple of holes. The only driveable hole is number 9 (par-4, 336 yards) but if you play it in mid-summer with hard ground and are a decent hitter, you can get there! Only drawback is that it can be slow (brutal) play. Get there before 8:30am on the weekend and breeze right through. Staff is very friendly and professional. If you dont have time for 18 this is a great option (or play it twice - second time around is ten bucks).
