This place is awesome! Food is great, the hostess is the best ever! I liked the place vibe a lot. The food was just amazing!

A great hangouts place..food was okay, not great and not bad.

Nice downtown bar with good service. The 6 or so TVs were only about 32 inches each so not the best place to watch your favorite games but it did the job. Would happily recommend.

My favorite bar on the big island. Has great events like stand up comedy, live music or dance night. Food is pretty good and the drink prices are reasonable.

Great place to stop and grab a cocktail while you are wandering around Hilo. Friendly bartender stayed busy in the middle of the day, and a steady stream of customers kept the bar busy but not crowded. Would be a regular hangout if we lived there. Didnt get to try the food, but what we saw come out looked good.

Nice little spot to stop in for a bite to eat or a cold drink. Wasnt very busy which was nice to get away from the crowds. The food was good, large serving sizes. Hamburger was good flavor, though a bit greasy. Service was nice and always checked back to make sure we had what we needed. Clean environment.

Stopped in for a pint of refreshing Pineapple Cider and tried out their delicious Vegetable Curry Chong. The staff were incredibly attentive and wonderful!

This is a great little party place Loud and wild weekends, great bar weekdays. Whent there on a Tue. there was a wonderful Hi. group very good. One guy in the audience got up a did the hula realy cool. Had a great time thanks all.

Ordered two bacon cheeseburgers. One with cheddar one with blue cheese. One small order of tavern fries and one small order of onion rings. One beer and ine water.Got one plain cheddar cheese burger, one bacon cheese burger with blue cheese and cheddar cheese AND onion rings on the burger.Later we got a new burger with just bacon and blue cheese.. No lettuce, tomato or sauce. Also got one large sides of each fries and onion rings and a side of bacon.....Not sure how to even describe this mess.... They did give us 50% off.Wifes beer was good and my water was cold and it has a local tavern vibe... So two stars.

This place is delicious!! One of the yummiest burgers we’ve had in a long time!! The hangover burger is perfect, as well as their other burgers. We got the nachos and those were on point. Everything we had was so yummy we had to come back a second time because we were craving the burgers! Haha it’s a must stop!

Absolutely wonderful. The staff are amazing humans. Even through covid they are giving you a 6ft apart hug. the food is delicious i reccomend the ribs. A warm welcome hello followed by a well made cocktail and delicious food. I highly reccomend. And they redid the entire inside. If you hadnt had a chance yey to see them do! Its well worth it. I heard hours are from 11 to 8pm. Theor smiles and love behind the mask are worth it trust me!!!

The best time! Had a band on Tueaday playing authentic Hawaiian music and a couple of girls got up to hula dance. Excellent margaritas!

Decent bar that hosts live music a lot, open mic nights, karaoke, billiards room, and there’s actually great food too. Generally a nice mix of folks visit here. Rarely a bad vibe. Problem is there’s a real issue getting to order the food from their kitchen. There’s a disconnect between the servers and the bar and it’s noticeable every time I visit. Just might take a while to get somebody to take your order. BUT, once you order the food it is delicious! The wings are yummy here!

The energy of this bar is fantastic. This is my first visit to Hawaii and I see myself visiting this spot for a cold one upon every return to the jsland ️

This place reminded me of my favorite little dive bar back home in Montana. It was low key. There was music. The fans were running full speed. Prices were great too.

The bartender was delightful to talk story to and I ordered the pupus tender chicken which was excellent. The portion was a good size . I had the Hawaiian chille sause which has a bit to it but very good. They have live music and outside seating. The pool tables need a little work but playing is still good.

It was ok, bartender was nice and helpful. The price for hamburgers are high for what you get, very little fries comes with. Good selection of beer. We forgot to get our credit card back, called the manager and they had it, they got our address to send it back to us, after almost 2 months havent received it back, trying calling back several times and the manager is never in, so had to cancel our card, very unhappy about this place, definitely wont be returning.

Stopped in for a bite after reading an online review. Our server, Dao who was working both the bar and tables was extremely polite, responsive and personal. He took our drink order and within 2 minutes was heading back to our table. I ordered the Japaleno burger which was the best Ive had to date. My partner ordered the Kutana Ribeye Steak which he stated was the best hes ever had. Dais service was 5 STAR.

George the bouncer is the greatest bouncer on the world. The rest of the staff is pretty amazing as well.

Need more gay events .. it brings college students,an eclectic local and sub local population that has to go other places for what you do as well and younger tourist dollars, just a thought cheers

Somewhat above average bar food, very relaxed atmosphere. Service was quick considering that the bartender was serving everyone and appeared to be the only staff in the front of the house. Process seemed reasonable.

Not the best place for families, but a wonderful bar with live music. We got to enjoy the group Average Joe and they eocked the house. The music is nice and easy to clap to, sing along with, or just tap your feet to. I got the Philly Cheesesteak and my sister got the Hangover Burger, a wonderful meal complete with chicken wings and sweet potato fries. Both meals came with a side of seasoned fries, very filling and savory. Service was kind of slow on the food because it is mainly a bar and the servers are busy running around with drinks, but other than that it was a wonderful experience! :)

A great local tavern. A good place for tasty bar food, reasonably priced beverages, where you can catch local bands, attend reoccurring club events, or play pool. Also noteworthy, is The Exhibit, a constantly rotating gallery, located within the Tavern, of local artists and artisans, curated by the friendly owner, Ashley.

Waffle fries were good. Wings were so dry and sauce so vinegary I couldnt even choke them down (I really hate wasting food, but I tried until I lost my appetite).Pretty good atmosphere. Not very good service.

Grittier bar in downtown Hilo. Karaoke, pool, and even a small art gallery in the back. Some really good bands play here in an open outdoor area. Great if youre a smoker!

The Tavern has a great local feel. There is occasionally live music with good beers. A dive, sports bar kind of atmosphere. Good fun.

Service was great, karaoke was best, and it was perfect for a small gathering for my friends and I.

Good vibes! Friendly workers, chill vibing people. Love their free karaoke nights (karaoke done on youtube) on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. They have an outdoor area connected to the indoor bar, pool hall with DJ kiosk. Awesome food! If youre looking for an up kept, clean and modern kind of bar, this isnt the place. If youre looking for a layed back and can car less about appearance you wont be disappointed!

For years we have frequented this dive off and on, enjoying their food and drink at our leisure ... Recently though my spouse had a stroke, and according to our credit card was served 5-shots and 4-beers, ALONE, in less than 2 hours .... We found them, alone, unable to walk or talk, but still being served!!! This bar should be ashamed for their lack of concern for both the safety of their patrons and their community!!! It is sad that they clearly are more worried about their bottom line then the health and safety of their repeat customers or local community!!!! Drunks are most certainly a dime a dozen to which there are many in this town, go figure, but it goes to show a good bartender knows when to turn away even their most loyal customer... there are few of those bartenders serving here given this experience!
