This former Lutheran Church was bought by the great Walters family who built a nursery empire in Hillsboro and Washington County and turned into a place of art and music! The City does an amazing job and it has become the beating heart that drives the body of the arts in our fine City! If you can catch a music event here I highly recommend it. The Acoustics are amazing ! Great venue and staff!

Attended my First Tuesday at Walters Cultural Arts Center. It was wonderful. Remarkable art exhibits and entertainment. Parking was a challenge with food carts taking up several spaces in a small lot, lots of folks had to park in surrounding blocks and walk back to the bldg. I would still definitely recommend this hidden gem of an event to most anyone as there was attendees of all ages enjoying themselves.

Their Artisan Fair was packed with amazing items. Loved meeting and talking with the artists and craft vendors. The world is full of talented people. Great place for them to be showcased.

Very beautiful old church. It was a Trinity Lutheran church and they out grew it! It is now the Walters cultural center

This is an amazing center with a great stage, acoustics and lighting. It is an old church conversion with a great architecture. It is very modern and welcoming and I would highly recommend visiting this place.

Been here for several concerts, great acoustics! The building is beautiful, parking lot is a bit small but there is usually on street parking nearby.

We had are winter formal for school there it is nice for wedding and a great venue but is too small for large events

Good place for arts, specifically ceramics. Amazing talents are in residence teaching lots of views and techniques. Sometimes the studio can be overbooked and difficult to navigate, tends to lots of noise.

It’s just an awkward place. Hillsboro Main Street is an odd experience overall, and this adds to that. Modern buildings next to colonial buildings, and the business never stay in business for long. There is a sketchy gas station near by and another vacant building next to this new one, and homeless tend to wander around.There are far nicer venues for way cheaper than this odd place. If anything, this building is the lipstick on the hillsboro pig. I recommend looking elsewhere for events.

This small venue is one of the last architectural gems left in Hillsboro. A former Lutheran church, it has been fairly faithfully restored and nicely updated into an arts and performance venue.Local artists exhibit as well as local performers plus the occasional national performance.

Beautiful venue & great sound. I wish the seating could be better, but it cant, so now Im just whining. Go here. You wont regret it.

I have been to many amazing events here and enjoy the facility as well as the outside structure being so ornate

I dont normally rate places, but Walters Cultural Art Center is worth checking out. Just saw the Oregon Mandolin Orchestra pull off a spectacular holiday concert, and let me tell you, this venue is perfect for musical performances. Hillsboros got a good thing going with this place.

This community center is a wonderful place. Lots of space an old Lutheran church but its converted to a community Cultural Center. Lots of good artwork on the walls. The main area is large and is well constructed. Theres a center stage theres a stage lighting sound system lots of light. Plenty of other area to sit restrooms or clean and functional. Plenty of ADA access. In the front theres a small grass area that is nice to go outside and get a breath of fresh air during your celebrational activities. Plenty of parking.

This is a beautiful place inside and out. The staff is friendly and attentive to your needs. We held a wedding and reception there. They have ideas and diagrams to help you identify what you need to make your celebration shine.

Very nice, visually appealing venue with plenty of space. A bit warm with a large group and it was difficult to figure out how to get to the parking lot though.

Beautiful and elegant space. A little tight for our group of 130 in the lobby, but the dinner was perfect.

Great place to see musical performances. Its a repurposed church which means it has high vaulted ceilings and reasonably good acoustics. I have seen two musical performances here and the staff is very friendly and the performances were excellent.

This is not a great venue for a younger crowd as it seems the seating arrangement, sound set-up, and general ambiance are catered to an older crowd. That said, this is a beautiful space to hear music.

Nice venue offering very talented shows

Really nice venue for our medium sized wedding and reception. The staff was helpful to the caterer to transform the room from wedding ceremony to reception. The space is clean and while they have a lot of rules, meet all of their promises. We were very fortunate to have Voila Catering from Portland plan and manage our wedding...from rentals to beverages, they took care of everything. We did a family style dinner and since the venues kitchen was not capable of cooking for our large group, Voila brought a chef team and their own ovens and cooked all the food in the parking lot. This extra effort for the food really paid off. Even six months later, we were getting raves about the food! Thanks to this great venue we had a beautiful event!

Excellent meeting space with great acoustics for concerts. The upstiars area usually has paintings, downstairs there are art rooms and they have a kitchen area for catering events. Big screen and projector too.

It was my first time visiting the Center today, as a participant in the Hillsboro Plein Air Event. It could not have been easy to organize and orchestrate so many people all at once, but it was handled perfectly. Everyone was friendly and efficient and I loved the facility. Normally, art in basements doesnt look very good to me (it is usually it is too dark) but the art downstairs looked really good, well lit and carefully displayed. Thanks for caring about regional artists, not just for providing such a fun outdoor painting event, but also for championing the local artist all year long.

A wonderful venue for so many things cultural, fun, educational, etc. A blessing to have in Hillsboro Oregon.
