If you ever had an uncle who toyed with tvs in their basement, then this place will feel like home. In a non-distinct building, you will find room after room of antique and vintage televisions, organized into period, from the first mechanical models to space-aged deco works of art. Then when you think youve seen it all, there is a garage load of production equipment from cameras to a fully-fitted news van and an enormous transmitter. Highly recommended for those in the industry, tinkerers and the curious.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable time visiting your museum learning about the history & development of television & seeing the large variety of TV’s offered in your collection. I would highly recommend a visit. Plan to spend several hours so you can take it all in.

This museum is fascinating. I highly recommend. There is so much history and invention. Its hard to imagine a world without screens but it wasnt very long ago it was invented. Must see!

I was afraid it would be too technical or obscure but the audio tour is great and some of the sets actually play video. So much fun and a peek into a fascinating portion of history!

A very interesting museum of early Television. They have tv sets there that are truly class! They were when TVs were furniture and a work of art! Friendly staff. Location is off the busy streets of Hilliard, Ohio. Reasonable entry fee (donation).

I grew up around tv/radio repair shops and owned my own for 20+ years and didnt anticipate seeing much I hadnt already seen, but this was a pleasant surprise.I wont spoil it by saying whats there, but will say this is a must see if you find yourself in Hilliard.Give yourself over an hour and turn on everything youre allowed to, and listen to the audio tour.I gave it an hour and it wasnt long enough. I only left because they were closing.

We visited on a Saturday. The outside of the building looked small but inside it is much larger. The first room has a few posters and smaller displays. There are a series of rooms with wonderful displays of rare early TVs and other early technology. Some sets are from other countries. There are lots of interesting stories hanging on the walls. We were greeted by a volunteer and as we went thru the museum if we had questions the volunteers were happy to answer our questions. It was a great place to visit.

This museum provides a wealth of examples, with historical context, of the evolution of the television. It pays tribute to the electrical, mechanical and the craftmansip domains. A great educational resource.

This was very interesting. Cost was only $5 per person. I was surprised on how big the place was inside. The are a ton of TVS and even tv station vehicles, too. Several older sets are still working to show what they looked like back in the day. Worth a visit but a challenge to find.

I went to the Early Television Museum with a few friends on a whim. For one, it was bigger than I expected. They have TV sets from the early 20th century to the 1950s. Im not too interested in TV history but we spent a good 1.5 hours exploring the building. The designs were really cool to see and although there wasnt too much info available for each set I really enjoyed seeing the progression of technology/design through the decades. This was a nice find for a Saturday afternoon!

I had no idea there were so many different models of televisions made before the plastic era of electronics began. This place has every category covered, including color and rare and foreign sets. Some even work, too!

This museum offers a really interesting collection of TVs and related equipment, some still functional, dating from the late 1930s through the early 1960s. It is worth a visit for both kids and adults.Unfortunately, during a visit today, a surly guy working (volunteering?) there aggressively yelled at us for breaking a rule of which we were not aware. He had not greet us when we came in, nor did he seem interested in being helpful in any way, although he did ask if I had made the suggested donation. For a second, I thought of asking for it back. I just hope he isnt there all the time and others will have a better experience.

Amazing collection of early TVs, including an original Farnsworth and the mighty DuMont RA-119, a giant-screen TV from the 50s. Many of the sets are in working order and can be watched with the press of a button. Bring your grandkids so you can tell them how tough life was back in your childhood...
