Awesome place for Sailing, Kayaking or Stand Up Paddle Boarding, Power Boats too! Members can use club Kayaks, SUPS and Sailboats so you dont have to lug your boat to the beach each time you launch, or store your own boat through the Park District. Friendly group of people who all have a passion for our beautiful Lake Michigan. A 100% volunteer run organization, which keeps membership costs to a very reasonable level. Who doesnt want to spend their summer at the beach and on the water?

Great facility for the boaters and windsurfers in the area. The parking area is plentiful and it seems well maintained. Ive been able to get some pretty nice photos of the lake on days when the waves are rough, or when most folks dont want to be near the lake. I have not been around the facility when the season is at peak, Im assuming it can get pretty busy down there.

This is a hidden gem. Salt of the earth people and completely volunteer run. We work hard to be active in our community to teach sailing to youth and adults at reasonable prices. We welcome new members.

Gem of a club on the North Shore. Perfect place to enjoy the lake no matter what you like to do (beach, sail, SUP, kayak, power boat, fish, etc.) or just relax on the deck. Best place in HP.

Good beach experience but for local residents only.

Better than Waukegans yacht club because the yacht dealers dont block the view of the lake. Still, Waukegan beach is the best. NO GLASS ON THE BEACH!!!

Brilliant sunrise views over the lake. Ive been there twice over a period of 2 years, both during the fall. Colours are brilliantShould be great for moon rise as well

A nice beach at Central Park connects to the Yacht Club area via satisfactory car/trailer parking. See all kinds if boating, take lessons or just take in the sights and sounds of Lake Michigan.

Great place for graduation party.

Dock adjacent to the ramp is a bit out of sorts. And one of the barriers by the bardge side of the ramp is pushed inwards therefore reducing the width of the ramp.

The best part about living in the Chicago North Shore is having the yacht club. Sailing lessons, kayaks, SUPs, outriggers, and great parties with great people!
