Only giving one star because I have to.... I live about an hour and 15 minutes away and purchased appliances from JH for a friend. I called to pay over the phone after negotiation about price they told me it would be $321 ($21 for sales tax) to use debit or $300 cash. I had no choice but to pay over the phone. JH told me my total would be $321 I said okay, after our call I looked at my receipt that said $357.17. I called right back, he told me this was a card processing fee which is illegal to charge without first informing the customer of that charge. He also charged an additional $22.47 for sales tax. For the sake of a long story trying to be short, this was November 4th, he was supposed to mail a refund to me that day - I still have received nothing, including very little communication from them. Ive given him options to not be so aggressive with this but now Im frustrated and I would hate to know how many people hes done this to. Regardless if he only owes me $36.17 or $3600, what hes doing isnt right. Buyer beware!

Bought a couple appliances and all dont work. We were so happy at first and told everyone to use this place. Now that slowly each one started to break down to where none work in the matter of less than 3 months, will not recommend this business to anyone. BUYER BEWARE

I purchased a dryer a little over a year ago and its still working. Im very happy with my purchase. Also the service was impeccable. Now I need another washer. I just purchased it. Anytime anyone says they need appliances the first name that comes to mind is Houstons

I’m a rental property owner and when one of my renters appliances break I come here to replace them. They are so friendly and they are so helpful. Prices are great and they have a 30 day warranty. I use to use other places to get my appliances but they wouldn’t take them back if they didn’t work. This place is the place if you want to replace your used appliances with new.

I had high hopes, despite the negative reviews I had seen. I bought a washer & dryer, and although the salesman I worked with seemed like a great guy, the owner is not. After using the dryer 3 times, it died. A call to Jeff (owner) resulted in a promise of a refund since it was still under the 30-day warranty. After a month and a half of follow-up with him, Ive finally given up ever seeing a penny. Its disappointing and disheartening to find that people can offer warranties that they have no intention of standing behind, and then that they can lie through their teeth and tell you its in the mail. Buyer.... BEWARE!!!

Bought $750 refrigerator & paid $50 delivery. Came with 45 day warranty. SELLERS WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WARRANTY. Ice makes does not work & water trickles out. Contacted them in person, by phone several times, by text several times. Always was told will come tomorrow, again & again & again. Never came. Finally said for me to bring back the refrigerator & they would give me a refund. Really? I paid for delivery because my husband & I cannot manhandle a refrigerator & what would I do with my food? Do not buy from these people.

Got a good cheap fridge for fair price delivery was kinda late but the arrived got the fridge in and it works good. For me it was a easy pleasant experience that took under 15 min

1 star is too much. If you got 500-1500 dollars that you wanna throw away then go see Jeff. He will sell you a lemon and act like he don’t know you the next day. Buyer stay away

The prices were reasonable. Fast delivery time. Had one little issue with my fridge and they came out the next day and fixed it.

Was originally a great experience because Andrew was great in store. The rest not so much. I would never recommend anyone go back. I had a 30 day warranty on the appliances and it took two weeks of calling every other day to get a response. The owner seemed to be annoyed that I kept calling. They finally came out and fixed...nothing. Still same issues. Called again and nothing. I gave up and fixed it myself. The owner is also just rude in general as I spoke to him on other occasions outside of work and it was bad. This is what happens when someone has money but no customer service.
