One if my kids favorite parks. Really fun things there. took off one star because the bathrooms are difficult to find and when you do find them they are often poorly maintained, and s ell putrid. I take my kids to a lot of parks, none of the bathrooms are like this...

My 3 1/2 year old grandson loved the big slide. It reminded me of sledding dow a hill in the winter in when I was growing up in Massachusetts. A very well constructed,maintained and fun park.

This place has places for children, lots of green grass, some skateboarding, a community garden, well placed benches, and well groomed and clean....including their restroom, which is an inconvenience as it involves steps and and up a little walk if you have any trouble in those areas. but that is the only negative I can say about everything they offer. The park is beautiful.

Super comfortable neighborhood park with benches, tables, green space, trees and a community garden. Parking can be tough. Has handicapped spaces. 2 blocks from the beach. Great kiddos area.

Super fun park to take kids to. My toddler lost his mind here and completely wore himself out.

This is a great park. I sometimes go and just chill out. They have a playground area for kids, large grass area, a path to walk around and I like to check out the community garden. Please clean up after your dogs if you take one. There is a fountain for people and dogs so that is great if you have a thirsty hot dog or kid lol. Last time I was there a lady was sunbathing in her bathing suit so its Beach casual. I took these random pics of stuff someone had left behind there. ENJOY!!!

Kids of different ages they like this place they had fun, I had teens with me n they also had fun there’s a patch of grass were dogs can run around too, the playground is covered so I like that but it was hard to get them out of the park.

Nice park with plenty of open space for playing football or soccer etc. The kids playground was upgraded a few years ago and it looks pretty great as well. The parking lot can fill up pretty quick, but there is other public parking around if you dont mind a little walk.

This is one of my kids favourite park. Good size playground. They love the concrete slide. There are areas designated with benches to organise your kid party. Of course, do not forget to get your permit previously. The negative point of this park is parking: little area, difficult, always full. It is a big park for a little parking area.

Our favorite park in the southbay. Fun for all ages. Large open play area with a large field. Sand area, climbing structure, extra large cement slide, community garden and trails to explore. Also great place for dogs.

Very nice park overall. plenty of equipment for various ages. equipment is recent and well maintained. there is a big field for sports. there is a very big slide thats a lot of fun as well. there area is really quiet and pretty clean.

Cute fun place for younger kids. They finally added some shades & covered tables which helps a lot for picnics in the park. The only real downside is limited parking lot.

Great park with a fun and creative playground for the kids, but parking is not so fun for mommy! Drove around then just waited 35 minutes for a spot NO JOKE.

I live on 2nd street and I go to this park almost every day with my dog. This is a great spot for kids (huge playground and lots of grass) and for dogs walks. Lots of friendly people and animals.

South Park is my favorite park in the area by far. I dont mind to drive a few miles just to take my children down there. The playground is sensory friendly and is good for both kids in the spectrum and neurotipycal ones.The park has big green area surrounded by a 200 yards ring that is ideal for the children to use their bikes or their scooters.

Fun little park, has parking both in parking lot and street. Good for kids ir just getting some fresh air.

Very nice play are for kids. Big open field for kicking a ball around or kite flying... whatever. The kids will love it, bring a change of clothes.

This park is off the charts - fun for all ages of children. I love that the two sandpits are always filled with sand toys and kids can fill the pits with water themselves.

Best park in the South Bay with superior playground equipment suitable for all ages. Wonderful large grassy area for picnics or sports. I am impressed.

This super cool, recently updated park has a lot going for it! Some great play structures for the kids, as well as long sidewalks for those with scooters and skateboards. Probably the most unique element to this park is the concrete double slide, which is fun for adults and kids alike!Pro tip - the parking lot is undersized. If full, attempt to park to the South or West of the park.

I love this park. There is a great concrete slide, a ropes course to climb on, and some other great playground features. The sandboxes have little cranes for the kids to dig with and water that flows like a river through the sandbox. Parking is sometimes hard to come by, but its worth it.

This park is very good but still work in progress. Lot of activities to keep kids busy and happy. Once the shades are erected on the play grounds it will be even better for the kids.

With the new renovations, South Park shines as a playground for all involved, throughout Hermosa Beach.

I love the new look of the natural park. The slide is awesome. And upstairs in the classrooms is my favorite art class in room 4,with Mr Marlin from Artz Unlimited School

Very fun park. Love the outdoor activities they have. Its not just a park with a slide and swings.

My kids love this park for the concrete slide. The open lawn area is also good for pee wee soccer practice. This park receives significant use but the homeless have not found it yet. It could use a few benches and parking can be a problem. Bathrooms are decent.

Good place as I remember.

South Park is a wonderful, small neighborhood park. It was fabulous even before the new playground as its an open play field with a wide walk. The new playground is nice for small kids, especially with the large slide however it is still very busy, especially after school and on weekends. Parking is extremely limited on site, as well as in the area which is why locals appreciate the walk-in value. The congestion at the parking lot is an issue. I suppose the community garden is a plus but its also extremely small and adds no value to the public. The existing on-site building has public restrooms, however the rest of the building has been relegated to the school board as has the upper area parking lot during the week. Dogs are welcome, however please do pick up and use a leash.

Its so sad that theres not more parks around the beach area for kids to play outside sad so much real estate has to suck up everything.. The Chamber of Commerce should think about the communitys needs and do whats right..
