This is a great great resort with nice amenities for family stays. We stayed at the Viera, which was a 2 bedroom/2 bath condo with a nice size living room, balcony, and a kitchen. This was the perfect size for our family of 4. There are restaurants on site, water sports rentals for the lake, biking trails nearby, golf course, and a small grocery store all within walking distance. The grounds are well-maintained. Our lodging at 2 pools - one heated and the other not, and a hot tub that wasnt functioning properly, which was a bummer. But this is a perfect resort to stay in just to play with the family, or to stay at if youre going boating at lake mead like we were. Quick 10min drive to nearest launch ramp. Love it here!

My sister lives in Henderson and we visit at least every other year. My nieces high school graduation from Coronado High was held at the Thomas & Mack Center so we were in town from Utah (and had my mom with us.). We love visiting my sister, and really enjoy the Henderson area, but like many of the locals, we do our best to stay away from the typical Vegas tourist experience. We really enjoy the AirBnB experience, and wanted somewhere that was a relaxing place to stay. The MonteLago Village Resort definitely lived up to the pictures. The pool and lake area were gorgeous, and the groundskeepers kept it meticulously clean. Our only regret was that with all of the graduation festivities we had going on, we werent able to use the pool or get to explore the Village much. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit.

Positive: Water sports, Cafe right on the waterfrontRocky Mountain ChocolatePrivate grocery: SeasonsFresh, Pantry, Frozen no high markup Can of tuna $1.88 clearly the establishment cares about their customers. Very welcoming.Negative: Sparse shops and bathrooms at Montelago Lake Las Vegas. Parking in the garage is far but no viable option otherwise. Main hotel Montelago has been closed down for years probably since 2014 or 2015. People must endure the hot walk through the past the casino to the Village and down allot of stairs there are a couple ramps too, then past the nonexistent business to the water. Right there is Le Cafe Du Lac. THEY CLAIM THERE ARE NO BATHROOM IN THE ESTABLISHMENT. LIAR. There is one single stall. Perhaps the directions are inappropriate for a restaurant review but ADA restricted people or people who cannot walk up and downhill this is definitely not the place for you.

The view and surrounding area is beautiful. Youll forget youre in the desert in this Oasis. There is a shopping plaza at the lake but sadly a lot of the shops are closed or they are trying to attract new businesses to move in. There is a casino however it is also closed down.

Lots of awesome restaurants and beauty all around the village! ONLY recommendation is to get the casino functioning so people do not have to leave to the strip. It would keep more people on the property and promote more businesses in the Village.

Me and my wife recently stayed at Viera for a few days. Raymond met us in the lobby with the keys and parking info. He was amazing, he went above and beyond in showing us the facilities, giving us info that would help us during our stay, and took his time and never rushed or hurried us through the process. He was a great start to a wonderful stay. The unit we stayed in(#410) was furnished beautifully, the view was breathtaking and far exceeded the pics online. It was quiet and peaceful, truely magical. Just a quick walk takes you right to the village with all the restaurants, bars, shops, and the waterfront.I highly recommend this property, try to get unit #410 and you wont be disappointed. And with Raymond there to help, youre sure to have a great experience.

My husband and I stayed in this hotel to celebrate our 19 years anniversary. It was our first time here. The room was very clean and we love having a kitchen, very convenient. The lake view was beautiful. We enjoyed the pool , lake and the cute village. We lost our keys, we called the office and someone came right away to open our room. Great service. I am so excited that we found our little get away and I cant wait to go back. We truly enjoyed our stay in your hotel. Thank you :)

I am sure it was a great casino when it was open. It shut down sometime last year, and took the local economy with it. I am hoping that something will be done to revitalize the area, because it is an awesome place to hang out and walk.

I so adore this resort. It is the best kept secret of Las Vegas. I will say that the first experience wasnt quite great because the systems were down regarding key cards to enter into the resorts. My husband, son and I was locked out a few times and being that our suites wasnt on the same resort as the front desk we had to jump in the car and go all the way back to the front desk to complaint many times. We got lucky sometimes that other residents would let us in but that was the most frustrating ever. The did redeem themselves by allowing us to stay past the check out time before our flight. I thought that was a huge thank you. We will be back...

Huge room. Almost as big as our house. 2 beds & 2 baths, kitchen, patio deck, and big entertainment area within a Vizio tv. The shopping area only has a few restraunts and one food/deli/snacks shack. So you might want to eat at the Westin. We ordered pizza Napolis from Henderson and it was delivered in 40 min. It is nice and quiet. Pretty green golf areas - the kids can run thru the spinklers around sunset. Aston was way cheaper than the Westin and less than the Hilton with a huge 2 bed room for $175 out the door. Very scenic views of the lake and mountains east of Las Vegas.

I rated this a 3 because I was so torn. The location is exquisitely beautiful. The architecture is fantastic, as are the views. Additionally, the price is right! However, there were so many things wrong with the actual visit. We hosted our wedding party here, and had a lot of feedback. Our 3 bdrm, 3bath suite on the Viera lake side was incredible. However, The Viera Side signage was terrible, half the staff uninterested while the other half was wonderfully helpful (props to Kaniela and Mark), and the door from the parking garage 2 was giving everyone problems on entry (so you were basically stranded). most annoying is that there is no breakfast offered. On top of it, the town is empty and feels like an eerie ghost town), the wifi was spotty, and the pool closes way too early, considering it was the only night life.We liked the Luna side better , but there was no one at Luna west desk ever (we didnt need anyone, so it worked out). Bottom line, until Henderson becomes more populated and the casino reopens at the resort, this place will remain a ghost town. Only stay here if you are self sufficient and looking to get away from all the hubbub, because you are sure to be left alone during your visit.

There were no clothes hangers in the closets. We called the front desk and were put on hold for 10 minutes. They said they would bring some hangers to the room. 2 hours later still no hangers. Another call to the front desk to be put on hold again. Finally the hangers showed up. There was ants in the room. Again we called the front desk and were told the maids would spray for the ants. We do not believe this happened since the ant problem never went away. We had to put our snacks in the microwave to keep the ants from getting to them. Our biggest complaint was the air conditioning unit. It appeared it was sized for a room 4 times the size of the unit. It cooled the room down quickly, but it sounded like a freight train coming through the room every time it came on. While on it would really blow cold air on you, which was especially bad in the bedroom. Between the noise and cold, it was very difficult to sleep. We ended up turning the thermostat way up at night since it was easier to sleep in the warmth versus noise. The unit has old CRT TV’s versus newer HD flat screen TV’s. The TV service is DISH with all movie and some sport channels blacked out. The website made it sound like the resort was self-contained with the shops and restaurants in the village. This may have been true years ago, but not now. A majority of the shops and restaurants were closed up. The village was like a ghost town. We ended up going to the Westin and the golf course club house for our meals. On a good note, the underground parking structure was really nice, keeping the car much cooler than if it was outside. Also, the room was well situated for watching the 4th of July fireworks. In summary, the quality of the resort may have been acceptable for half of what they charging, but not for what we paid.

Was told several time i was in luna building when we were in viera so the pizza guy couldnt find is... more than a ghost town nothing is open... pool doesnt open till 10 which is BS... gave 5 adults a room with 2 twin beds... are you serious... a friend took an $80 cab ride to the strip and was never offered the shuttle instead. When presented with our problems the only answer we recieved was my pleasure seriously unprofessional here
