I liked this outdoor theatre. I wish it were closer, but I cant fault them for location. The dont allow outside food, which I wish they would change since they have mechanical issues in their snack stand both times I went. The concert before the movie was excellent. I highly recommend getting there early and yo purchase our tickets online. It rained more of the movie, but it was still good.

My wife and I went for the first time the other weekend to see Jurassic Park and we had an absolute blast! The experience is so much fun, the food is incredibly priced and very good, and the audio quality for the film through the radio station is very clear. We could not recommend this experience enough! Fun for a family evening out!

First time here. Our family had an outstanding time. Enjoyed the music, prices for snacks were reasonable, great family atmosphere. The operators did a great job of making sure taller vehicles parked further back and smaller vehicles to the front, so everyone could see. Social distancing was not a problem, and it was a lot of people there! Lots of masks where people were a little more congested and no issues. Highly recommend!

I went to the Raleigh Outdoor Theater for the Halloween Trunk or Treat event and a triple feature. It was a great experience to see a real drive in theater. The food was good. The only complaint is that I was given a buzzer to alert me when my food was done, but it didnt go off. I wondered in after an hour to retrieve it. Thats not a deal breaker for me though, thing happen.

Super cool! Pictures made the lot look smaller than it was. We arrived half an hour before movie time and most of the spots were taken so arrive early! We bought a portable radio online and connected a speaker and it was like being in the theater. They had a couple of food trucks and outside benches. Its too bad its far from where we live. Definitely experience it once and see how you like it!

When you stand in line for 40 minutes during our movie to get some French fries just to be told at the window that they’re currently not doing hot food because they ran out of buzzers. Though I do understand the fact that they are busy but one of the 5+ employees walking past and working could have mentioned that to the 50 people standing in line wasting their time. There was no signage telling people that either. No signage about where to even order hot food to begin with. Zero organization and clearly poor common sense and customer service. This all occurred at about 9:20pm and the website says they serve food until 11pm and the website also contains an online ordering system that just doesn’t work.

This place is a charming relic of times past. We went July 4th for a laser light show followed by the movie “Jungle Book.” It was a fun alternative to traditional fireworks that were cancelled this year. The setup allowed for plenty of social distancing space, and employees and patrons were all required to wear masks. The concession food was delicious, and there were also food trucks onsite. The movie was a little dark at times, perhaps impacted by a full moon. So glad we found this novelty, and thoroughly enjoyed the evening!

This was certainly a unique experience, but its not one Im rushing to repeat. We pre-ordered tickets online and arrived early. We read about all of the covid precautions being put into place but didnt see any in action, other than in the kitchen. Not a big deal in and of itself, but hand washing or sanitizing stations are needed.Wed heard good things about the burgers, so we tried to order some, but they did not have ground beef. Hot dogs, BLT and popcorn all fairly standard. Funnel cake sticks were an interesting sweet treat worth trying though. As obvious as it seems, everyone should know that by the time the movie gets going, it gets dark, and I mean really dark out there. This also would be fine if the bathroom situation wasnt so sketchy. A well-lit bathroom in a well-lit area would be a wise investment for women like me who are already uncomfortable walking alone in the dark in a strange place.Other than that, its pretty much what it says: a giant screen that shows movies. Nothing flashy or updated, but it is a very different experience and worth doing...once!

Trash was overflowing and a bit unappealing especially being so close to the concessions. The staff was friendly and accommodating and even provided rope to the cars with hatchbacks that werent following the rules of keeping hatches at roof level to not obstruct view. But unfortunately they did not enforce the rule so I had to move my vehicle back and forth 4 times to try to get the best view between two hatchbacks. I understand its the vehicle owners that are rude but if youre going to create a rule that supports good customer service, it should be upheld. Overall a good family experience though.

I went for the first time last night to see Shrek and Beetlejuice. I arrived around 7:20 and the gates opened at 7:00. I would recommend getting there early so you have time to get into the drive in and get situated as there was a line to get in. I really like how they included a pamphlet with all the drive in rules and the menu for the food stand. I got in line for food right away because I could tell it was getting long. It moved pretty quickly which was nice. When you order hot food they prepare it fresh so you do have to wait for that. However they give you a pager like when you have to wait at a restaurant so you can go back to your car and sit while waiting for your food instead of standing around. My food took about an hour but I didn’t mind the wait because I thought it tasted good. Before the movie started the owner went around and reminded people to turn off their lights, tie their hatch backs or close them so they didn’t obstruct the screen, and make sure everyone was parked correctly. Overall I had a great experience and will definitely make another trip out there to go again. I also did not get one mosquito bite the whole evening which is a plus, not sure if they spray the property or anything. If you’re looking for a low cost night out with a date or your family this is a great option!

The Raleigh Road theatre is a great place to go for a drive in movie. The fact that it is open every day is a big bonus. The location is a little inconvenient, and the movie selection is limited due to one screen, but overall, a pretty fun outing. This is a great activity for families that need to get out of the house while social distancing. EDIT: There is a large menu for the concession stand, and all the items are very affordable.

No social distancing, no masks, created a camping event where they didn’t zone adequate spacing between tents or enforce distancing. Parking spots are right on top of one another. We were ready to set up our tent when we saw that no one was wearing masks and we realized there is no room to park and camp. They had several children running around without face coverings and playing on a delapidated swingset. Their restrooms are just port a potties, and several employees were going in and out of the food service shack/trailer without any masks. No spacing in the lines, and no sanitation stations. Posted on FB and the owner argued with us that what we saw was untrue even when we could present photos of the portable toilets and people without masks. The whole place screams trailer trash. Guy working the window had no mask and was smoking as he took pay. Disgusting. Only enjoyable if you have no standards.

DO NOT ORDER FOOD FROM THEIR IN-HOUSE CONCESSIONS STAND. Our food was ordered before we entered the gate and we were find with the 1 hour wait time. We fully understood that but the issue came in when we received a text saying our food was ready but what happened was they sent it in error. So 8 comes around, the movie has started and the food we ordered an hour and 15 minutes ago wasnt ready. I went to check on the progress of it and the young man stated that my order was on the grill and it would be done shortly. Fast forward 45 minutes, the movie is half way over, my kid is hungry and at that point after 2 hours of waiting, learned my order was never even started. Blown away by the incompetence of that establishment. Our order wasnt even large. It was se nuggets and a hotdog and they couldnt pull that together.

The screen is fine, visibility is great in most spots, radio/speakers are good no issues, popcorn service was great. Do not buy hot food from concessions - and I say that with severe disappointment, we always buy concessions because we know that concession money is what supports these businesses. We completed the in app order at 8:15pm, and was told food would be ready after 8:50pm. At that time I went to get the food, I was told it wasnt ready and Id be texted when it was. At 9:20 I went back up, it still wasnt ready. At 9:45 my text came through. We scarfed down the food and then the movie was over. We waited an hour and a half for some cheese burgers and corn dogs. They need to revamp their service procedures or hire more people... I want to say, when we did get the food it was delicious - but maybe it was so yummy cause we were so hungry. We will visit again but well eat beforehand.

There were three things that I didnt really enjoy about my experience here. Firstly, there was constant begging for the use of the concessions stand because this is the [their] only source of revenue. Secondly, the movie start times were not well described on their website. This resulted in us showing up over two hours early. Thirdly, the instructions upon arrival were very rushed. Admittedly there was a line out to the street, but when we tried to ask questions, we were dismissed and rushed out of line. Otherwise, I would partake again and would recommend to others.

One of the last real-deal drive-in theaters left! $8/person is a great deal, considering that all showings are double features. Movies dont premiere here, but usually show in the second week. The place is clean and well-managed - read the fun little pamphlet they give to each car - its an amusing how-to for the drive-in experience, and also includes their rather extensive concession offerings. They have the usual theater snacks, as well as a grill that provides hot food such as burgers, fries, patty melts, fried pickles, etc. The prices are very reasonable, downright cheap by theater standards, and prepped quickly, especially if you order online using your phone. Word of advice: the sunken concession counter is for *pickup only* - to place your orders (and for non-grill items), go to the little brown hut beside the concession pit. They give you glow-in-the-dark cups for your drinks, which can be reused for refills and even for future visits -plus all future refills are only a dollar - forever! Great place to show folks and family a piece of history while having a lot of fun!
