Good dog park, take my girl there almost every day. Most everyone are responsible dog owners and the dogs all get along.

This is a beautifully maintained grassy strip park. Olive, palm, and a variety of shade trees line the park area. There are benches, a basketball hoop area, picnic areas, walking areas, play structures, tables, and grassy shade all along the strip. The park itself is NOT fenced in, but the DOG Park area is fenced in with a 4 ft high metal fence. In the dog park are, Poop bags are supplied, there us a shaded table bench area to sit at while your dogs play, and plenty of running space for your critters. BYO bags, water, and toys for your pets. A busy street seperates the park strip from The Viejo Middle School across the street, and a neighborhood backs the other side . There is NO parking specific for this community park, just neighborhood and street parking. Be polite, clean, share, and enjoy this hidden spot.

Beautiful enclosed park. Single area for both large and small dogs. Comfortable gazebo area for sitting and benches throughout. Poop bags and trash cans provided. The park also has a doggy water fountain.

Its the only true dog park in town so.... In reality it could use slot of work. It would be nice if the park was divided into sections. Maybe a small dog park and a park for larger breeds. Also, there is no grass, just dirt and in summer some thorn weeds. But ultimately it has a gated area for your dogs to socialize, and ultimately thats what its about.

Nice cozy quiet place to have a picnic at around 630 ish on Saturday. Initially was planning on another location, then decided to stop here along the way. It was not to hot and had a nice breeze blowing into the evening. Created a nice ambiance for the rest of the night.

I dont think I would reccomend bringing a small dog here we saw a larger dog pick one up and puncture the small dogs back and then the owner of the large dog took off. The place is falling apart benches are missing or busted up. Always broken glass in the grass and on the sidewalk. Almost every cover is smashed. Along with the lights. It seems the city doesnt care enough to fix the place up and keep it nice. There are plenty of sharp metal bolts that are sticking out where lights used to be.

This is the park next to my house. I enjoy the time I spend here.

Good dog park. Plenty of room to play. Waterers are in good working order. Doggy bags and implements to pick up poop. All good.

The worst dog park Ive ever visited. No grass, no shade for the dogs, no bags, trash cans full, and no parking except in the neighborhood(maybe) I parked across the street at the school. The only positive note is there was no dog poop on the ground

It is a kept up small place for dogs to run. No grass but water is supplied as is the diggie bags and trash cans. My dog enjoyed it. Thank you city of Hemet.

The park is located in a great neighborhood. The dog area has potential, but we still need to figure out which times are popular. If there arent any other dogs there, yours will be bored since theres basically nothing to do.

Big enough park for your dog, some locals act as if they own it. The larger lady w the black and white American bully mix [neurotic], has issues and will get into a frenzy and attack along with her buddy; a smaller mix dog that is sable in color.

Quiet, fun, not too crowded. My toddler loves it here! Lots of grass to run and play and CLEAN.

This place is the getaway for relaxing . This park has it all. They offer Fishing and camping.

Wonderful place to take your dogs. Gated dog area with water bowls. Nice place.

It it is placed in nice neighborhood. Bags and water bowls are available. Not good for agility training, but perfect for quite dog walking and moderate exercising.

Never any dogs at the park. Very quiet. People are awful at picking up pets messes. Which then attracts and exaggerated amount of flies

Closest place near me to bring me dog. He loves it here and the other dogs are very friendly, maybe a bit too friendly. The owners are cool too.

What a nice, unexpected find in Hemet. Lots of room for my fur babies to run and chase balls!Since theyre both under 15 lbs, I was glad to have the park all to ourselves. I didnt have to worry about a larger dog attacking us. Loved that there are doggie water fountains for everyones use. Like someone else said, it would be nice to have a grassy area. Im not sure how the city could maintain the grass inside the dog gates though. Overall a very nice park, Im grateful thats its available!

Very little trash, here and there in this park, during my visits. One of my go-to places for my workout regime. They have a dog park but needs to be maintained more often. Overall, above average park.

I have only been there a few times and would like to know when does everyone come there? There is never anyone there around 2 or 3. Also, I dont understand why they planted grass on both sides of the dog park , but not in the dog park. They went to all the trouble to plant it, water it and cut it, leave their mark with the benches with their name on it, but no grass? How does that work out when it rains and its muddy? The city needs to step up to the plate and fix this.

We came at a time where no dogs were present. Its all sand no grass unless you are outside the dog park.

The comraderie among pet owners is usually good in this dogpark, as is the mutual tolerance or admiration and playfulness among the dogs of all sizes that frequent the public dogpark here, which used to be managed by the City of Hemet, which has provided 2 water fountains for the dogs, but therd is no grass now, and never have been any facilities other than cement benches (and garbage cans)for the owners. Outside the dog park, there is plenty of grass and even a basketball court for children of all ages to enjoy.

Not the greatest dog park but itll have to do since its the only one I town, aside from Ramona Animal Shelter where you have to be a member. Oltman Dog Park is a dirt patch in the middle of a very decent, grassy Oltman Park. The dog park is dirty and unkempt, smallish, with a gazebo in the middle for humans to congregate and a few benches around the perimeter. The upside is that the humans are friendly and keep an eye on their pooches. There are exceptions. The dogs have a good time, but because theres only dirt, its bath time when we get home. There are always poop bags available, and the humans tend to clean up after the doggies. I go there because its closer to home than Menifee and the beautiful Red Hawk dog park in Temecula.

Its a sad park with amazing grass outside the fence and dirt inside for dogs ... I want my dogs to play and all they do is smell the grass on other side of fence. If they dont want to up keep the grass inside the park then place some turf that will substitute for the ugliness of this park .On that note its the ONLY dog park in san jacinto ?Yes there is Ramona dog park but thats nowhere near my house and my dog was taken there for a bit one timeand got ticks... soo what option do we have as dog owners?Please have a better plan for our other furry family members

A sad yet happy patch of fun & physical activity for a cooped up dogs. This dog park looks like an after thought for of a few people. It also seems to have been forgotten with passing time. Theres no public parking attached to or in the immediate area. You have to watch out for the NO PARKING signs on the street & across the street at the school. Its not a long walk from a side street. It just shows the lack of thought for the whole park not only the dog park.It would be nice if the city of Hemet showed some pride by doing simple upgrades & repairs to this posible jewel. Planting some trees & bushes around the outer perimeter, installing a grass replacement & expanding the overall size. Making sure the dog area is properly watered, weeded & grass maintained of course would be a great start.People using the park need to respect it & other people there. Its not right that the dog park is a mine field of dog boob. People must clean up after their pets. What a disgrace that people cannot or will not pick up after their pets. If you cant do that give up your pet. Youre not responsible enough to have a pet!I thank the City of Hemet for Oltman Dog Park. I pray that in the near future the Hemet City Coucil will consider new dog parks & look at improvements for the Oltman Dog Park.

Being right next to both a middle and high school, there needs to be a more active police presence due to it being the meeting ground for fights between students.
