I was visiting my Brother and 5 year old nephew for Fathers Day weekend and had never fly fished before! My brother wanted to make the time extra special so he set up a full day guided trip for all 3 of us. I have to say I was not initially very excited about spending an entire day on the Missouri River fishing and was worried that my nephew wouldnt make is the whole day either. We had a BLAST! Captain Russ is the best! He made the trip special for each of us. He is patient, knowledgeable, a great teacher and storyteller as well! I was impressed with how he treated all 3 of us with different needs and at differing levels. A man who loves what he does and is great at it too! And now I know a whole lot about fly fishing that I never would have and I caught 4 rainbow trout!! I highly recommend Captain Russ for any and all levels, abilities, ages, etc...If you want one of the best Montana days ever, hes your guy, guide, angler, outfitter :)

My fiance and I got ahold of Russ after being let down from a different guide. I called Russ and he immediately responded, willing to take us on short notice.From my fiance and I having zero experience with fly fishing, russ was able to teach us in a short time to hammer the fish. Soon as we launched the boat we were bringing fish in.Thank you again Russ for your patience of teaching us how to fly fish, along with many other things along the way. After getting to know one another it was like fishing with a good friend. I recommend Russ to everyone!
