A pleasant surprise! Last night was my very first time at Causeway Chalet, and altogether I enjoyed it a lot.Single server, bartender and cook, for about 15-20 people; this slowed things down a bit, but the lady handled the situation professionally. Good service, pretty good bar food, and decent drinks. A rather typical Montana experience.

Great food and atmosphere! Ryan was bartending and I believe the cook was Sonnie. Had Philly cheese steak and a brisket sandwich with onion rings. Then after the prime rib came out of the smoker it smelled so good we bought four pieces to have at home next day. It did not disappoint. Well be back with family for more!

The service was non-existent and there were no masks in sight as far as the employees go. The bartender even yelled at my friend to take off his mask when he went up to ask for silverware. Will not return.

Well it was pretty disappointing to say the least. The woman bartender was not good. I will say she was shorthanded because she was also running the grill,but when she wasnt doing that,she wasnt even good at the bartender part either. It took a looooong time just to get a beer.

Strangely enough I was there a while back and ordered pulled pork tacos, my order never came, went back ordered fries, never got them, went back last night, ordered pulled pork tacos, guess what....Never got the tacos...

We stop after fishing for one of their huge burgers and a cold beer. More fries than you can eat. Service is good, too.

Great environment. Friendly people, good food good drinks!I saw the recent review of this place and felt I needed to respond. The food and service here continues to be great. The drinks are always full and never diluted. The atmosphere is perfect for a local bar. All I have listed above are the reason we keep coming back on a regular basis, and why we will continue to bring our friends and family here for a good time.

Its the kind of bar that you make a drive out to and dont leave disappointed. It feels like a cross between a small dive bar and a fancy viewing terrace of Lake Helena. Its absolutely beautiful out here and the staff are very kind! The community of the patrons is also very inviting and laid back. The food menu is a great aspect of the atmosphere and is definitely great, even if the prices are a bit higher than you would expect.

Awesome! I dont know where these comments are coming from about Mika and Crystal bc I think they are the only reason it is still open. It was sliding downhill until they started working there and they are turning it around. We love this place! Good food good drinks and the people are awesome.

Used to love coming out here. Was a nice place, but the youger couple that works there in the evenings are running this place into the ground!!!. Very rude service every time, and i know other people having the same problem. After there BS tonight, a few of us will not be coming back until there gone. RIP to the chalet

This place was surprisingly awesome! We drive by this place several times a year and expected it to be just another bar but I was wrong. The beer selection is great, they only had a few beers on tap but the cold can selection was large! The Food they have is amazing! Didnt realize that this place had such good rack of ribs and burgers. Id highly recommend folks to take that 10-15 drive from Helena to enjoy this hidden place. Think we will come here after every fishing session in the area!

Just got home and found out that my son just got criticized on here for giving a bad review. What my son said is true. Food service was poor. More interested on a round of shots with not even a full shot. Hard to measure from an open bottle that a customer opened with his key. Yes I did see him open it. Also my son getting 86 on here. Have snap shots on my phone on what was sent back to him. Not nice comments. After those comments would not recommend to any one and will be spreading the word .
