I had the most wonderful day with the most beautiful woman and the greatest kids ever! Its a beautiful park with lots for kids to do! Had a romantic wedding set up that I was teasing my lady with! we had tons of fun, laughs and lots of Love! Enjoyed the ducks, one fish in the lake, squirrels running around and each others company! Was a grand day indeed!
Nice park just 5 minutes off I-80. We grabbed lunch at McDonalds and went to the park to eat with our dog, based on another review that said dogs are allowed. There are multiple no dogs allowed signs. Aside from that the park was great. Multiple playgrounds, cool tank in the front, small pond with a trail and lots of picnic tables. There was some trash around the picnic tables, but not more than expected around public picnic tables. Grass had been recently mowed.
I always forget how much of a gem we have in the area. There are three different playground areas, pavilions, an ampitheter, a nice walking path around the lake and soccer fields. Many different organizations hold events at the park, too can fish, or have a family picnic. I dont go there that often because dogs are not allowed.
Great park, plus it has a M-60 tank! Old school playground equipment, plus some large playsets. Kids had a fun time!
Its peaceful most of the time but very loud and crowded at certain hours. All of the trash containers that I saw were overflowing and trash all over the surrounding ground next to the overflowing trash containers. Very disappointed to have stopped there to eat my lunch. Havent been there since last fall. Wont be back anytime soon. Shameless maintenance!
My kids really enjoyed the playground areas, to which there are a few. There are a lot of places to sit and lots of convenient picnic tables. I was pleasantly surprised to see a wheelchair swing there, it was in great shape and is something other parks definitely lack.On the flip side, there was trash EVERYWHERE. At first I thought maybe it was just lazy visitors from that day, but the more I looked around I dont think the park is ever really taken care of. the weeds were growing rampant in the playground area, all of the grass was knee high and I cant say it enough, trash everywhere....
Community Park was very relaxing and nice. Not too crowded early afternoon. The path to go around the lake has been taken care of and it was nice to walk. Nice place to relax.

Great park, I came to hazelton here after going to visit grandparents to relax, Its quite nice yet my only complaint is that the M-60 Patton tank is deteriorating and I feel as if it needs to be restored.

Use to be a decent park, but the city has let it fall apart. Play areas are damaged, missing swings, trash laying all over the ground, and filled trash cans for days without being replaced. Would be a great area to take the kids if it was taken care of.
What a lovely Park! Lots of fun equipment on which to play. Rubber mulch. Handicap/wheelchair swing. Beautiful lake and lots of pavilions and picnic tables.My only complaint is the trash can in some of my photos. My 18 month old grandson tripped and narrowly missed falling on the sharp, rusted base that is nearly invisible in the autumn leaves. This kind of liability should be addressed immediately!

The park is nice and the lake also but some of the people that go there fishing are ignorant. Was fishing a few days ago when a large group sat right on top of my daughter and I despite the 6 ft distancing. Game warden needs to keep an eye out because lots of people fishing without licenses.

My review on a park called Community Park,located in 37 Pecora Blvd, Hazleton, PA 18202.I have been to this park several times this year, its is a really big park yet, also really small depending on your way of looking at things and what you are used too.When you go in this park the first thing you will notice is the big parking lot, which can get really crowded on the weekends, sometimes you might have to wait about 5 mins or less for a parking spot. On the week days the park is usually empty and you can easily find a parking spot.The second thing you will notice is the big war Tank the is located in the park entrance which is a veteran memorial site. I think that tank is pretty cool actually...There is a soccer field on the right of the park right next to the parking lot that you cant missed. Very nice place to visit by yourself, or a great day with the family!! They have small standing bbqs for nice little cook outs, picnic benches to relax on. They have a small pond in the park thats usually stocked with trout every year. The pond also has largemouth bass, catfish, blue gills. Excellent place to teach the kids how to fish, or for you to go out there and concentrate on catching the big one!! Water is clean. The park is clean as well. They also have trails to walk, and exercise stations here and there throughout the trails to challenge yourself. I believe the entrance gates close at 8:00 pm. Free parking, and Porto Johns on the spot. Take the family out for a nice day. Also a soccer field for a childrens league when the season starts. In all...a great day to be had by visiting.

Nice little wooded park, with a lake to walk around. Clean. Pavillions with grills. Its a shame you cant have pets but its understandable. Fishing, but I dont fish so I cant say much about that.

Place wasnt bad and had nice play equipment and a tank, but the other people there were intolerable. Unsupervised children throwing rocks at people and out of control adults yelling in the parking lot... We wont be back.
Very Nice Beautiful park.. There is a lovely view of the lake with a nice trail going around it. Make sure to wear good shoes if youre going around the trail for you people with the nice shoes :-). No pets allowed at the park otherwise it wouldve been a 5 star!
Perfect for a morning walk, specially on a sunny day .. It feels safe and while the kids are at the playground, parents can enjoy a walk by the lake. Parking and restrooms available.

There are many things to do. They have 2 sets of playgrounds and a trail to hike around the lake. They didnt have the bathrooms unlocked that day but there is port-a-potties close by.

I always love going to the community park
During the summer you will see families having picnics with loud music fights and alcohol. The park is not kept clean by visitors or staff. Sad to see how this town has gone down hill.
Its a nice park for walking fishing with a playground or tables and grill to have pinics however if u are there in the spring its hard for kids to play due to massive amounts of mud other then the mud its a very nice place to let kids play or adults to relax outside.

This is a small jewel tucked away in Hazel twp. Plenty of things to do. Kids can play on numerous swings, play forts, sliding boards. Numerous covered picnic pavilions to use. A walking trail around a lake that everyone can have fun fishing in.

Great park located in a relatively quite area of Hazle TWP. Nice lake for fishing or just a little walk. Park for kids with different playground equipment for pretty much all ages. Pavilions with tables and grills for public use.
Great for kids 5 and up not so great for babys. Got a lake but cant swim in it. Atmosphere is great flys are rediculous.

Quiet serene environment with a nice playground for children to run and play. Lake Irene, a Beautiful lake you can fish in . Personally I enjoy walking around the lake and watching the wildlife that lives here. There is also paths throughout the park for additional walking and biking, even skating! Nice size pavilions you can rent for any type of celebration party ! There are also job Jonnys just in case ...The park is kept clean . Personally I Enjoy play dates and picnics with my daughter here. Throughout the year they hold festivals and other events as well. The Italian Festival is my favorite! They have a big gravel parking lot for parking and is als is handicap accessible for those who may need.
I love and hate this place! It is a beautiful park and it is kid friendly, but its the people who frequent this place. They are straight up trash.
