First time here. Good prices for bowling. Decent prices for a quick bite. They lost a star because they didnt have a bartender so we were unable to be served a beer. ($1.99 draft and $5 bottles.) We were told maybe in an hour or two.Lots of games to play. Decent crowd there for lunch on a Wednesday, but school hasnt started back yet. We will go again.

Its a really cool place in the mall. It wasnt very packed. It was perfect. The ice creams only a dollar in the ice cream is so delicious. The pizza wasnt as good. But other than that great customer service and the games are at a pretty reasonable price. And theres a bar in there where you could drink and its pretty cool. I love this place.

Big place with lots to do. Love all the prizes in the arcade. Better quality than other places. Love the picture machines too though they are a tad expensive.

Awesome lil gem we have here Hayward/ San Lorenzo area... things to do for all ages, they have 2 party rooms for parties with karaoke inside. They only serve beer and wine only, NOT A FULL BAR. the bowling alley is pretty impressive as well. Overall I hope this place is here for the long haul

Such an awesome place to have fun! Ive been waiting for Round 1 to open at Southland Mall all year and it did not disappoint.

This was my first time her as well as my kids :) we absolutely loved it !! The Team working here are awesome ,they work hard and passionately.The food was amazing !Best pizza I e ever had yet !!Seasoned fries are a hit !!Beautiful Bar!!Fun Games!Bowling !!Organized very well in a safe way for both kids and adultsI highly reccomend round 1 as the place to take your kids for some weekend or weekday evening fun !!Way to Go Hayward !!!

I was so excited when I first set foot inside this place because its just like the Round 1 that I used to visit often in Japan! A lot of stuff was out of order like the escalators and cash registers, but thankfully the games were all up and running. I really love the game card system; its easily rechargeable to play games, and it automatically saves all the tickets you earn through games! Its so convenient. I also enjoyed the green tea ice cream ($1.50) before I left. Im hoping to give the bowling and pool tables a try in the future too.

Not your 80s, 90s movie theater arcade!I was amazed to walk through the flashy jungle of lights and sound. And even more surprised to find couple pin-ball machines. They cost $1 per game. Really missing those days at Cal State, Haywards Game Room where I can use a quarter to play a long time and still left couple credits for next kid.

The food and drink was awesome as the employees. The place is fun and kid friendly. Only thing that bugged me as this is still a newish place there was gross grime in the restroom air dryers and other areas that couldnt have that level of grime if cleaned regularly. Overall a good place to go

They have project diva arcade which I can only play back home in Japan so 10/10

Walked in around noon, not overly crowded. Ordered a few pizzas, enough seating available. Left before it got super busy, around 3:30pm. Kids loved it, although the games are a bit pricey comparing to Chuckie Cheese. Gave a vibe like Dave and Busters.

Fun environment. Like most place that have claw machines, these are definitely rigged. Still fun though.

Place was cool, fun for the kids but really needs help. Employees were friendly & seemed to work hard but systems & leadership were lacking. Prices were ok but 20min wait for ice cream is what prompted this review. Also a lack of supervised teens made it unbearable ️

WARNING: IF YOU PLAY AT ANOTHER ROUND1 LOCATION, YOUR PLAY CARD WONT WORK HERE. AND NO THEY WONT ALLOW YOU TO TRANSFER YOUR POINTS OR TICKETS TO THIER NEW ONE.So officially I’m done with Round 1. I normally play in their concord location on their ticket games over there and I’m usually always running into issues playing games. Whether it’s the machine is out of order or their games have some kind of quirk to them. Every time I go I have to find a mechanic VARIOUS TIMES to get my credit back for their broken games. I decided to finally try out this new location here in Hayward. This new place is nice. A lot of new games to play and a lot of new prizes. Guess what? Since I bought the card and won tickets in the concord location, I can’t use my card or redeem any of my 26000 tickets here. Are you serious? even Dave and buster have no problem transferring my card over to a new location. Why is it a problem activating my play card which is from the same company at their new location? Officially I’m done with this place. I used to love playing at Round1 until I find out their maintenance is really weak. (Not the mechanics, they are pretty cool and actually accommodate you because they understand the frustration of multiple games being out of order or not working correctly) this company is really stingy compared to Dave and busters.

Took one of my girlfriend baby boys there he had a very good time playing all the games I was so happy to see a kid smile theres nothing in the world like seeing the kids smile kids are gift but make sure you take good care of them and make them successful because they follow good role model if you teach then in a positive way

Pretty clean compared to other places. Way overpriced!Pizza is pretty bland, $100 for 2 games of bowling.I used to come for their claw games but even that theyve messed with so much its basically impossible to get anything anymore. When they first opened, it was a matter of skill, now its just a matter of money, as always.

I never knew this place was here. Last time I was here it used to be Khols...awesome place to hang...gives the locals something to do thats actually FUN! Great job Southland

This place is the bomb I recommend this to everyone young and old they have their own section for little kids where they can just do everything then they have the arcade area for young kids and teenagers and adults then the bowling area is so much fun your little children can play there they have the helper for the bowling for your babies and then they have the karaoke which is so much fun the pool tables are great for the adults the food is wonderful and if youre having a party they give you so much food and theres no way you going to go hungry your party people will have so much they will have a ball I love this place my grandson had his birthday party here and there were people from all ages from 1 year olds 2 50 year olds and everyone had a great time

Love how they have a variety of arcade games. Many of them are Japanese, and some of them dont have English instructions so its difficult to know what youre supposed to do. The claw games look like theyre easy to win, but youll end up using all your card credits if youre determined to win a prize. The claws dont actually lift the prizes, they are only used to push the item down and you have to hit an exact spot to get it to fall down. The attendant can reset any item to its original position if you ask. The shake fries and ice cream are good; theyre basically the cheapest things on the menu.

Today I threw a party here and when I first arrived they room was dirty from the previous party. My party guest was in the room while they was cleaning party did not start on time. Host was really rude and had a nervous break down. Host never came to check on on the party had to keep going out to get him. Ask to speak to a manager a worker asked me what I wanted to talk to a manager for. Poor customer service do not book a party with them. Online party package for 3 hours say 25.99 a kid when I got there they charge me 28.99 a kid they said the price online is not there price. I will never throw a party here again!!!!

Great addition to Hayward! This place is awesme!Bowling, pool tables, karaoke, tons of games, and $2 pints. You have to get there early for bowling. The staff are great, but are definitely still figuring things out. Prices are decent.

This place has soundvoltex, beatmania, wacca , Miku, DDR, pump it up, it also has musica AND groove coaster (these 2 arent connected to the internet).

Very nice and helpful workers who showed me how to play a crane game to win a stuffed animal for my kids. I spent about 30 and wasted mostly the first 20 trying to figure out how the machines worked till an attendant came and saved the day.

They use different cards from the San Jose location. This place has a bar though. The crowd is a little different from the San Jose location. Id say its just as good if not better than the SJ location because it has a real bar.

Hhhmmm friendly bunch people here. Pool tables were ok and the price was cheap. Its $11 per table. The bowling lanes had way to much oil on it. Could literary wipe the ball off with your hands and get a splash on your hands. The cashier was ok but, the one that address me as a lady is more awesome. The restrooms were clean. Would be awesome if it was open gender. Some rude lady (customer) said i was in the wrong restroom... I would give it a 5 star but, this place needs more work...

Cheap drinks and food. Great atmosphere. Come on mon-thur for a better value and less crowds. They only have about 8 lanes and 5 pool tables. I heard the wait it long on weekends.Shouts out to Eric and Curtis. Great service keep it up guys.Chris

Round 1 was fun during my visit. My negative was that we were told there was a 45 min wait when there were only 2 out of 5/6 lanes being used and the line was way too long to get drinks.

Great variety and quality of machines, but based on the location its a bit over priced. Would only consider revisiting if I was in the area...... which would be never.

Pretty fun to spend an afternoon in with friends. Alot of high quality plushies and figurines in the prize games. They also have some fun japanese arcade machines compared to other arcades with the usual generic games

Not enough workers. Booths are dirty and the floor is sticky and the games costs to much for one game. I liked that it was spacious.

I know this place has only been open for about 3 weeks, but after hearing about how good round1 is from my friends in texas and on the east coast i was really excited for it.Well they ran out of pretty much all food, and it took forever for them to tell us. They had to refund half my order and the shake fries i got didnt even come with the bag so i got stuck at the table eating nasty fries. I would say at least the drinks are good but its just mikes hard lemonade poured into a glass so i cant even imagine how to mess that up.Its also 40 minutes after 10 and there are still a million kids running around screaming. I thought it was kids under 18 had to leave after 10.Im so disappointed and i wanted to like this place so bad. I hope it gets better.UPDATE: Their entire payment system went down. They are only taking cash and there is no atm. I have not been able to play a single game.

Went here for the grand opening last weekend. It was more of a soft opening.No one told customers that we wouldn’t be able to use cards from other locations (Concord and San Jose can share cards) except for really small signs at the desk. The wait was extremely long to just get a new card ($2 charge!) plus credits since there were only two people working. Since funds aren’t transferrable, we also cannot redeem tickets previously earned at other locations.Managers kept following people around the UFO catchers, which was odd and uncomfortable. One time, a manager got mad at me because I made a comment on how these UFO catchers felt a little looser than at other Round 1s, and decided it would be a good time to lecture me about how I /should/ have played. Really rude and unprofessional.It’s smaller than Concord, and a lot of the game machines have also been recycled from older locations, so nothing really stands out. The ticketed games don’t earn a lot, so I felt that the use of the “new operating system” for cards was intentional to force customers to pay more to redeem prizes.Overall, this location doesn’t live up to the other two in the Bay Area based on experience with staff and the amount of fun for the money.

The place was kind of expensive ...a real good arcade ...pool tables...bowling...i couldnt find the ping pong ....but definately it was a lot going on ...good for a young crowd or family with children.

Japanese Arcades, high quality plushies, bowling, pizza, pool tables, karaoke, pinballs, and tons of basketball games. What more can you ask for? Come on down and party!

Service was very poor

Great games and cheap beer, what more could you ask for? Love that round 1 is in hayward and I dont have to drive all the way out to san jose or concord/wherever. Although i will say that the speed of the food service could improve, the long lines for the bar definitely suck and the wait times are pretty bad up till now since opening, but that can change if more people were working at the food/bar stand

Nice and new bowling spot, arcade and karaoke but awful awful service. All Employees don’t know what the hell they are doing. Took 35 mins to pay for bowling (guy ringing us up was HIGH) We signed up for a membership worth $6 and did not get a membership card. We then asked the manager, we did not get the card and manager doesn’t even know what he was doing. Took additional 30 mins to issue the card. They just hire people to cover shifts. But really they don’t know what they are doing even the managers. Rude

Expensive but Fun and fun.

The staff wanted to close early. We came before midnight saying they closed down pool, karaoke, and billiards because it takes them two hours to clean and they were understaffed with plenty of extra staff walking around the area doing a whole lot of nothing. Manager walking around with closing bags at midnight when they close at 2 am. Food is closed, bar is closed, arcade was the only thing open. On a Saturday night.

Sooooo much better than D&Bs, imo. The claw machines are tricky but very winnable!

This is the best Round 1 I’ve ever been to. I actually won 2 plushies at those Alien Claw machines & I really enjoyed the games there. It’s expensive though so be prepared to spend a lot of money. My boyfriend & I spent about 1.5 hours here yesterday & are planning to come back. The workers there are super nice!!!! They will reset for you if need be for the claw machines. The prizes are WORTH IT tbh considering they cost about $25 online & if you’re lucky enough, you’ll win it in 1 try. Their prize station for the tickets are nice as well! They have a huge Rilakumma collection there. I’m really glad they made a Round 1 in Southland! I plan on going back there today with my little sister so I can win her some plushies
