During COVID they’ve gone above and beyond to help us feel safe. The employees are masked, theaters cleaned regularly, and social distancing (mostly) observed by theater goers. We love the drive-in option, too, and have been to several shows.One wished for improvement? That every other row be actually cordoned off so nobody could sit directly in front of or behind a person or family. Our party of five sat down a safe distance from everyone else already there - only to have another party of five sit down in the row directly in front of us. Too close.

What a fantastic local gem! We had the best experience doing the drive up movie recently with our kids. Such a creative way to still serve the community during these crazy times. They brought us popcorn and drinks to our truck too. Such a wonderful experience.

We were so excited to find a movie theater that was open, we didn’t even care what was playing (we are from Oregon where everything is still very shut down). Anyway, this theater was awesome. They had indoor movies playing as well as movies out in the parking lot. While my kids and I were in watching a movie, one of the owners or managers came out and delivered popcorn to our RV (where my son and his dad were hanging out) and were very kind about letting us park there while we saw a movie. Thank you!

They always have current movies and great prices! The only thing I dont like is how small the screen is and the audio isnt the best. But still my go-to theater!

Such an awesome theater! We came for their drive-in night and it felt like stepping back in time. Prices were great too! Only $10 for a carload and concessions werent outrageously priced like most places. Would definitely go back.

Before the pandemic, tickets were $3, the concessions were reasonably priced, and this cinema was a great place to see a movie on the big screen. Now, the ticket prices raised by $5 and the popcorn and drinks skyrocketed also. It is a shame that a quaint little theatre now costs nearly the same as the bigger theaters! Our small town experience is gone. Sad! I will miss our movie nights here!

I am so grateful for this place! Not only is it affordable to go to the movies again, the concession stuff is reasonably priced as well. Without sacrificing anything in quality. Reminds me of when I was a kid going to the movie. Staff is friendly and now they have an outdoor drive up movie. Thats just awesome

Per another reviewer, yes, the tix prices increased since AMC shutdown but thats for first-run evening movies. Discount shows are still available. Three cheers for Hayden Theater!!

This place started doing the $1.00 movie night per person. So taking my children and buying drinks plus popcorn was very well worth it, and it didnt break my pockets neither. Highly recommend this place to everyone for any situation. Family, friends or even alone time

Exactly what the family ordered!Inexpensive movies, good facility, good selection of snacks, affordable, family owned and always friendly!Now (summer 2020) they are even doing drive in movies in the parking lot at night!

I loved being able to experience an outdoor movie but I will admit I think it could be ran just a little better if possible.When we got there and we were getting into a line of cars to show the attendant our receipts so we could go park, the attendant told us to go park somewhere else as they clear out more cars from the previous movie, then they proceeded to let the cars behind us and in front of us in. I really wish the screen was alot wider too because we struggled to see sometimes but its okay. Also wish the speaker was a bit louder or there were a few speakers on each side because I dont like the thought of running my battery for two hours in order to use my radio to connect to the audio, or running my car instead.I think its a cool idea but i think it could be ran just a little better.

In Little Sandpoint just North of you, They are shutting the Doors of our theater due to the economy, a direct result of Covid and a lack of people going to the Movies. There just isnt enough to remain open unfortunately. It is sad, and a shame to see this happen, but it makes sense for them, as we all have to eat at the end of the day! I am, however, very happy to see that Hayden Cinema has raised prices to remain open and continue to pay their valued employees, so that they can continue to provide us all with that well loved past time of watching a new movie on the big screen. I have seen bad reviews for this cinema recently because of the price raises (Also a result of less movie-goers, i assume), but I salute you for doing what you must to stay in business in order to continue to provide everyone from sandpoint to Cda with movie-going fun. You are all amazing, keep doing what you are doing!!! We support you!!

When it says discount, it really is! Ive definitely got to come to the drive-in sometime. Perfectly respectful staff, comfortable and roomy viewing accommodations, and the paintings for the bathroom entrance are a great perk!

Drive-in was pretty neat. Snacks were fresh and tasty. Next time we will try seeing an inside show. Just glad to have something fun to do during this time of self-distancing.

I absolutely love this theater, and hope they never go out of business. One of my favorite parts of Coeur dAlene, is businesses like this one that keep the nostalgic part of our town alive, and arent sold out by the fancy rich resort aspects of the area.

We did the movie drive-in and saw The Breakfast Club. It was easy and great. Went in to grab our treats and just over all had a great time, much needed in a world that is going through a rough time.. thanks.

Prices are right, the owner is very personable and the cinema is well-maintained and the movies are well selected.

Pretty awesome. Watched Aquaman. Couldnt tell if the bass rattle was from my truck or the radio. Other than that I love that we have this around here.

The drive in they did this summer was a great idea.

Its no Regal, but it takes care of the movie watching itch. I do enjoy the drive in movie setup they have. Its a lot of fun to just watch the movie in your car.

At $3 a ticket, it was a great experience. The seating was surprisingly pretty nice too!I do want to note that the volume was considerably quieter than in other theaters. This wasnt a bad thing; it could definitely be a plus for people with hearing sensitivities!Im a bit hard of hearing, however, so I ended up missing a good chunk of the dialogue in the film. I would love it if this theater did showings with subtitles.

Decided to spend our day off of work/school driving 1.5 hours to visit friends and see frozen 2 together. The discounted price more than paid for our gas for the trip. Even the snack food seemed much more reasonably priced then other theaters (get a ticket, popcorn and drink for half the price of just a ticket at other theaters) The kids loved it. The seats were comfortable and the staff was courteous. If you can stand not seeing movies on the initial release, it is worth waiting to see them here. PLEASE bring one of these to Moscow/Pullman!

We absolutely love this theater! Our family of five gets in for $15, you can’t beat that! The employees are always super helpful and always very kind! The owners also seem really nice! The food here is also super reasonable and sometimes they have dole pineapple whip frozen yogurt (like at Disneyland). Yummy! This is a great family outing that you don’t have to feel guilty for spending too much money on!

We live this theater! Its clean, well mannered staff and a great value. Of course the screens are quite small but that never bothers us. Its the only place our family goes to see movies because the price is so reasonable. You can buy a small popcorn for $2.50!!

Hayden discount is a great little theatre. They do a great job of making it affordable For a family to watch movies on the bigscreen again. Its only 3 bucks to get in and even their snacks are not horribly marked up. They are continually upgrading their equipment and as such are narrowing the gap between the big cinemas and what Hayden discount offered even just a few years ago. This is one of my favorite places!

We went here for the first time. We were SO impressed! Very clean, neat, and inexpensive! We are new to the area and have been to the Regal a couple times. The seats at Regal are way to shallow, so much so that I get pain in my legs. I like this theater WAY BETTER!! We also chatted with the owner. We love his business philosophy. He cares about the community and the fact that some people just can not afford the other cinemas. We will be going here often! And we plan to buy the inexpensive snacks to help support the business.2 people, 1 medium popcorn -$9.50!!

Great deal on movies. We used to go to the movies only if it really had to be seen on the big screen. Now, we go because we want to. Love this place! The kids are great and the facility is clean. Couple that with great prices and what else do you need!

Great little movie place!

Kept pretty clean and awesomely priced. You have to wait till movies come out on DVD or so and full-priced theatres stop playing them for the Hayden Discount Cinema to start playing them, but tickets are only $3 apiece at Hayden Discount so unless youre desperate to see a new movie its totally worth the wait. Staff is friendly and popcorn is tasty. Been there several times and will keep going. Appreciate the smaller theatres, too.

Great cinema! I know they have lots of people to please, but if you have excellent hearing, youll find the volume a bit too high, almost nerve-wracking. Other than that, I love it.

Cannot pass up $3 to see a movie. Love that I can come inside to buy my tickets. Theatres make their money on concessions & they have lots of them. Add your own butter & salt to your popcorn. Seating comfortable too.

So many improvements in the last two years! Stadium seating in all theaters, reasonably priced concessions, great ticket prices, even for refills and clean restrooms. Now trying credit card readers.

It was great. Theres always a group of loud young kids that never allow you to just sit and watch but the theatre, concessions are good. FYI, we told an employee some were bragging this time how its so easy to sneak in but he seemed unconcerned. They go in the exit as people come out or just walk in with a group and some pay and some dont.. All in all this theater is always a good place if youve missed it in the theatre or if your on a budget!

A positive overall experience every time I have been here. Considerate staff, and generally clean theatres and restrooms. The ticket prices speak for themselves. My only peeve, and its a minor one, is that you must pay in cash only.

Wonderful movie watching experience. We went here quite a bit when they first opened and havent been in a while. The seats have been upgraded recently, and its a fantastic improvement. Snacks are reasonably priced. Just keep in mind they operate on cash only.

The Hayden Discount Cinemas are the perfect place to go to the movies. Tickets are only $3, regardless of the movie time, but bring cash, no credit cards or debit cards accepted. There is an ATM available on site.This is not a single theater like other discount theaters. There are multiple, smaller screens, I believe six total. Sound and picture are great. You typically can see new releases a few weeks after the big theaters have them.The snack bar has everything you could want. Popcorn, caramel corn, slushes, candies, etc. Do it yourself butter and a variety of seasonings to try on your popcorn. There is also a cotton candy machine that kids love. For three bucks, the machine makes the cotton candy in front of you. No arcade games, just a claw game and some type of key game.Movie nuts can buy $5 DVDs, movie posters, tin signs and buckets, and sometimes the cardboard advertisements.The theater is also at the back of a large shopping complex with a number of fast food restaurants. There are numerous sit- down chain and local restaurants nearby, along with several other entertainment outlets for kids, and area hotels are close by.For us, the short drive from Washington to Idaho is worth it. At only $3 a ticket, you do not feel robbed when the kids spend half the movie needing to go to the bathroom.

For a $3.00 movie these guys do a great job. Its so nice to be able to still take the family to the movies for under $20.00.For $20.00 you can get 4 tickets and a large popcorn. Seats are comfortable and screens are nice.

It is what you expect from a discount movie theater. Good staff, good food, and sound quality and picture quality is what you pay for. Its a good place to go for a cheap night out or a group of friends looking for something to do.

This place is absolutely wonderful! The service here is excellent and you cant beat getting a ticket, popcorn, drinks, and candy for $10. Thats how much some tickets cost at Regal! Id recommend this theatre to anyone looking to have an enjoyable experience while saving a few bucks.

This is an old-school cinema that shows family and independent-style movies. How can you go wrong for $3 a show? You also have the option of adding your own butter and flavored salts to the popcorn! Makes a great inexpensive date with your partner or the whole family!

Great movie and great price. Of course concessions are pricey, but still way cheaper than other theaters. Where else can you get two tickets, two drinks, and popcorn for under 20 bucks! We love our discount theater!

A really nice place to enjoy great movies that wont break the bank. Typical movie theater fare, ice cream, sodas, popcorn and candy. Seats were comfortable, the headrest on the seat was nice as well. They lose a star because its cash only, they claim its to keep costs down, but is extremely inconvenient.

There were some small audio and video glitches. However, for $20 two people can see a movie and get popcorn and soda. The seats were decently comfortable and the bathrooms were clean. I will likely be seeing movies there instead of the branded theaters from now on.
