Great time. Scary and fun. Worth it.

While the attraction was great and the actors put in a lot of effort, it was an incredibly short experience. $25 for 10 minutes of fun after a 2 hour wait, coupled with a 3 hour round trip drive just made this not worth the time or money. Most haunted houses/attractions I have been to around the US are $40-50 for 40-60 mins. If I lived close by this would be better rated, however, the price point is still too much in my opinion. You should be charging $1/min of attraction.

Was a little short, but well worth it. You can tell they put a lot of work and love into what they do, and they got some good scares out of our group. My only complaint is the gift shop wasnt open (this passed weekend). But they said it should be by this weekend. Highly recommend.

We love the NF. Been coming since 2009 or 10. Best time ever & we also attending the Christmas showing. With as crazy as 2020 has been, the NF is doing a great job providing hand sanitizer, wearing masks, clean facilities. Everyone should experience the NF. Thank you for all you do!

Second time. Here in 2015 and now 2019. Had a really super great time, both times. I recommend.

I try to go to a new attraction every year, I’ve been to many big name haunted attractions such as the haunted jail in Indiana, Erebus in Michigan, Indy screampark, and many others. And I have to say with as small as a town havelock is, I feel like I got what I payed for. It was worth the money, no more no less. Good props, good actors, a bit short for what I would’ve liked, but as I said, I got what I payed for and left satisfied.The wait was long but that was expected, I don’t know how some people think that they are just gonna roll up and go right in.

My first time at The Nightmare Factory was awesome. It was super scary and worth every penny we paid. Great job to you all and we’ll see you again next year!!

Wonderful time. Very live performance, and take pride in their work. Mobile que was wonderful sitting in my car waiting for a text. Live view of the que was a big plus. Counting down had people and their hearts racing. Would come back for sure.

I cant say enough good things about this place! Friendly staff, great prices, very helpful and SO SCARY!!! BEST HAUNTED HOUSE EVER!!! ITS A MUST SEE!!! I drove from KY to see this place and its so worth it!!!

Amazing props and even better actors! Only downside was how loud it got at one point where it really hurt. Other than that though awesome experience, will be scared again!

Great and exciting place! I’m not easily scared but my friends were though. I really liked the props and My group was the first to enter so waiting time went by extremely fast. The only downside I have and is to why I’m rating 4 stars is that the attractions went by pretty fast. We were in there for roughly around 20 mins. Wish it could be longer and extended to maybe 30-40 mins atleast. But other than that I would recommend anybody to come here for a quick scare.

The entire process from beginning to end was extremely easy an surprisingly the estimated wait time was accurate.

Bought tickets 2 days prior for 10-11 only to get here and be put on a 3 hour wait. After 3 hours when we finally got called in , we arrived to find everything closed down . Horrible waste of my time .

Wow, this was great. We have been to a lot of haunted houses and this one was new and very inventive, they had stuff we have never seen and the actors were amazing! My wife and I came at 8pm and we were able to go through in our own group. Most places make you go in bigger groups and we really liked being able to go through together just her and I. She was scared the whole time, really enjoyed the entire experience!

For years people have hyped this place up, I finally got to go last year, they had some new exhibits, so I was excited. The scariest thing about all of the attractions was the worker who gave you instructions before going through the Mausoleum - and I get scared easily, so personally it was a little bit of a let down. A co-worker of mine used to work there, and even he admitted it wasnt as scary as it had been in the past.

Its not what I thought it was going to be. Not worth a 2 hr drive.

I’ve been to 5 other attractions in ENC and Seriously this place was the best. We did the Psych award and the Factory and they were great. Screamed like a woman, laughed, had an absolute blast inside. While waiting in line there was “Scud” and a variety of events/contests/performances to keep us entertained. It made the wait to get in the attraction seem to go by very quickly. Which the wait to go through was under 30 minutes anyway so we were satisfied as others we’ve waited much longer. The price of $34 for 2 people for both haunts was relatively inexpensive as well compared to others. We came from Greenville and can’t wait to come again. See you in November!!!

AMAZING my favorite attraction was definitely the Torture chamber! But definitely not for the faint of heart once Rated R time hits at 10pm

The best haunted houses you can find. The owners work so hard to get it ready and continue through the weeks. Make up is fantastic!!!! One of my favorites was Dracula!

I went with 3 other people. We are all 30 or older. We really enjoyed it. The main attraction kind of through us off because it was 2 in 1, but it was good. We all really liked the fun house, it was really cool with the paint and the 3D glasses. The Virus was alright, not real scary for us, but the girls that went through with our group were scared. The last one we went through was Mausoleum really liked it, I laughed. I would go again.

These folks do a phenomenal job every year with the haunted house and side shows. Worth the time and money!

Was really hoping to be scared but it was more just a laugh. Finally went to the torture attraction last hoping that maybe they’d actually get me there (seeing as we had to sign waivers etc.) but apparently some random in our group ruined it for everyone and we got cut short. First time going and will definitely be my last. Really disappointed. Heard previous years have been better but 2019 was lousy.

Great time especially for horror enthusiasts. You really feel like youre in a psych ward.

I’ll start by saying the effort is there. The sets, costumes and layout are great. The execution is lacking though. I’ve wanted to go since the place opened but I’ve always chickened out. I’m not hard to scare. But I was looking for something to really get me there because I love the thrill. We bought the $25 combo since Infected was closed otherwise we would have gone for the $30. The girl at the ticket booth was very friendly which was a plus. The lines and attractions don’t seem to be manned very well. It almost felt like a free for all. It wasn’t clear who worked there and who didn’t. You just kind of figure out what to do and where to go on your own. They were filming a commercial before opening which is fine but it would have been nice if they had announced that they would be opening later on social media so we wouldn’t have had to stand in line for 45 minutes longer than necessary. The factory and psych ward were okay. I didn’t scream or jump once but it looked cool. The use of strobe lights in the psych ward were great. Could have been very effective but was more fun than scary. The funhouse was cool. But once again not scary. The clown who ran the attraction was fun though! I liked her. The mausoleum could have been really good but it just wasn’t scary. The guy running it was kind of a jerk which didn’t really help the experience to be fun.All in all neither of us felt like this was worth the $50 bucks. I applaud the effort. But there seems to be a lack of passion that goes into this haunt. We’ve been to 5 different haunts this season and I have to say this was the least scary. I’ve been to backyard trails that made me jump and scream louder.Maybe it’s because it’s at the end of the season and everyone is tired. Or maybe the rated R hours are where the real scare is. I’m not sure but honestly I’m not dropping another $50 to find out.

Cast is a group of solid actors who never break character. Its good fun for the family in the earlier part of the night and a great scare at the end of the night for adults. Ill definitely be coming back because they always add new attractions and interactive side shows.

I went to Nightmare Factory last night and Im from a different haunt called Darkside Haunted Estates. I enjoyed myself a lot, the actors were dedicated including one of the owners, props were great, owners were respectful and so was staff, I saw new things and etc. I appreciate Nightmare Factory for having us and giving us a great time. My friends and I are going to be coming back. Nightmare is more then welcome to come to are haunt anytime they like we love to have them. Thanks Again.

Such an awesome experience! The effects were great and the staff were helpful. This is definitely worthy of repeating year after year.

I advise you to get there early unless you like waiting in a long line. Make sure you have at least $50 a person for a perfect night. Other then that it was worth the experience!!!

They always nail it, guys that run this are awesome. Pricey for a haunted house but you get what you pay for. If you dont have little ones definitely go to the rated R version way more realistic. Thanks guys for throwing some entertainment mix in a small town

Went last night we did 3 out of 5 due to the hurricane unfortunately 2 wasnt open.I never been so scared it was amazing!The 3D house was cool but the glasses made it hard for me to see and gave me a headache so I took them off.The cast was amazing they never lost character no matter how tire they got! I gotta give credit to the cast that came outside while people were in line it kept the waiting worth it!! Also probs to the cast for not losing their temper with the annoying teens because I sure did.

I always have the best time there. Definitely so much fun when you go in a group and a great scare! Love this place I always make friends when I go.

The first time I went to the Nightmare Factory was 2 years ago, and I went the weekend of Halloween. I got in line at 10pm and didn’t get into the main attraction until 2am. By the time I got into the main attraction, I was so tired, so annoyed, and I didn’t care anymore. I just wanted to get through what I paid for and go home. I didn’t get scared, I was just annoyed the whole time. It was a bad experience.But I decided that I wanted to give it a try again last night, and my experience did a 180 turnaround. It was AMAZING! I waited in line for maybe 20 minutes, but there wasn’t very many people in line, so they were making it a very personalized experience. When I got into the main attraction, I was immediately greeted by terrifying clowns. And it wasn’t like a normal walkthrough, it was very interactive and had mind games. This was one of the best experiences in a haunted attraction I’ve ever had. I reccommend going when it first opens when the lines aren’t really an issue. Either that or go on a Thursday or get a fast pass.Thank you all for a great experience. I will definitely be returning.

So cool, the lines were long but they had entertainment while you waited. The makeup is AMAZING and the staff very friendly.

The Nightmare Factory is the best haunted attraction in North Carolina! After 10 is the rated R showtime and boy is it scary.Beside the horrifying monster are only part of the scariness as the actual location is haunted too!The butcher is by far the scariest actor 10/10 I cant wait to go again.

A solid frightful experience. Best in Eastern North Carolina. There is literally something for everyone who enjoys Haunts. From the outstanding 3D Clown show to the Fear Show exhibit. Corpsey was a great host for our main haunt. Though the weather was terrible the show was great. Stay for the Dragula.

We went to the 10pm show. Had a great time. There is free parking available but be careful about parking on the street even though it is legal.

Absolutely the best thing to do if you are near this place. My boyfriend and I went with another couple and it was worth every penny. They were extremely nice at the end and took pictures with us and chatted. Both my boyfriend and the other guy are marines and they enjoyed all of it. I wont do it again, not because it wasnt awesome, but because the suspension gets you, especially towards the end. Guess I wasnt as brave as I thought.

Going after 10 is really worth it! I got a good scare and will go again! Looking forward to the Christmas nightmare!

Best time Ive ever had getting scared. If youre in Havelock and and you need a great haunted house to go to this is the place to go. Staff was great and friendly. Even going late the performances were like opening night. Great experience cant wait for the Christmas edition second weekend in November.

Great place! We took our daughter here once and the actors cant touch you but do their best to scare you. Even to the point that you can feel their breath. There was one pitch black area that was a maze. One of the unseen actors said Brains! Were here to eat your brains in a scary voice. My daughter screamed in terror and then the same voice amended but not kids brains, just your parents brains. OMG, we laughed so hard. Like that would be any better to a kid. She clung on to me the whole time. We still talk about this place with fond memories.

I want to take a moment to say THANK YOU to the staff and performers at the Nightmare Factory for Doing such a AWESOME job last night. You guys did a great job on the man attractions and the side shows and Bum & Scud were one of the high lights of the night during the rated R hours. It was my and my husbands first wedding anniversary and you guys made it a night to remember. Thank you all. We stuck around till the end and the fire breathing show done by Bum and Scud was worth the wait. Again Thank you all for such a wonderful job you did we will be coming back every year as long as you all are there.

Entertainment wise was fun but was lacking a lot of horror

First time ever going to this had the best time. Went for my birthday and we got confused asked a nice gentleman for help the Owner James who treated us great was super nice and we got VIP and enjoyed it so much scared me half to death was well worth going too and doing! If you havent been you must go its the best experience ever!!!! Thanks Nightmare Factory for the scare on my birthday I will be back soon!

Sucks. No staff for parking and the staff is very rude. All they are interested in is getting your money then the hell with you. Inside they just curse and scream, not scary at all big waste of time and money.

You know how you are walking downtime to pick a good club or bar and you stop at the bar with the longest line. You wait for about an hour, pay $20 and then get in to find out you waited for no reason because everyone is ugly and the music sucks...thats how this haunted attraction is. We waited for two hours for something that took 5 mins to get through which leads me to wonder why we waited so long. Then you couldnt hear the video because it was already so loud. Evrything in the haunted house seem to not have any imagination. We had someone tell us to slow down. Dont waste your time on thisNow if you live in Havelock and you dont have anything better to do and you want to waste $15 then do it. Otherwise just go to a horror movies or put the money in a savings accounts

Best place Ive ever been to! I love that its all original characters and that they continue to surprise people with so many new scares and attractions year after year! Now they are doing a whole overnight experience! It gets better and better!

Great place to take the whole family for some scary fun! My autistic son had a blast there and was made feel completely welcome the entire time! Kudos to you guys!!
