Great location and very family friendly, with marked off swimming area. Loved taking my son there, though if you need to use the restroom--portable toilets are a little far from the beach, but along the sidewalk on the waterfront. There is a vending machine for soda beverages, but not great options. Recommend bringing your own beverages, and food if you want to picnic. Plenty of trash bins though along the sidewalk.

Nice and calm during the week. Fishing, stunning views of the river and of course the fun sandy beach and swimming inside the bouys (no lifeguard on-duty)

The place was great. The only thing was that my friend had to walk almost a mile to go somewhere else to park with the boat trailer, becuase the Sheriff was about to write a ticket. So being the food ready and the spot set up, he had to move, so plans of sailing and then having a little bbq are a no go there.

This place is a nice beach to sit and enjoy the lake view for a while with small rocks on shore. There is lot of noise from nearby highway also.

Its a lovely park no matter what time of year you visit. We love to go on the summer and take a picnic while the kids play and swim at the beach. There are plenty of picnic tables. There is a bathhouse with restrooms, showers and changing areas that is well maintained. In the fall the hardwood trees both at the park and along the rivers edge are beautifully clothed in magnificent colors! In the winter I love to go to photograph eagles and waterfowl on the frozen river.

Always free until this year apparently. There were a total of three cars there today at lunch time. A police officer came asking if I had a pass. Pretty views. Nice beach. Not worth 7 bucks to park in my opinion. Prescott beach is almost as nice and still free right over the bridge. Plus food and ice cream are closer.

This is officially a Minnesota state park and as such you need a Minnesota state parking pass. There is plenty of parking. Bathrooms are reasonably clean for beach bathrooms. They have a volleyball net, tables for picnics and grill stations. There is also a walkway and sidewalk from the beach in Minnesota to downtown Prescott, Wisconsin. The trail also will lead 3 miles back to downtown Hastings, MN as well. There is just a single Pokémon stop at the park and more including gyms in downtown Prescott.

The best thing about this place was it was free until now. Cant even pop open a beer! $7 per visit! So will I get a reduction in the other taxes I pay to support these parks?
