All kinds of things to see and learn about here! From prairie settlers, to a planetarium, kool aid exhibit and lots of animals... we had lots of fun! An awesome employee offered us a tour and info about how things were acquired/ some of the changes that they hoped to make or add. This is a great inexpensive place to visit!

Decently priced for a great museum. Theres 3 levels of displays, a small childrens area, IMAX, planetarium, and gift shop. My Girl Scouts thought the Kool-Ade part of the museum was amazing and spent quite a while there. We also watched a planetarium movie...just make sure you sit in the back and not on the sides.

It was a decent place to kill a little time! Admission is $8.00 a person, just for the museum part.

Good peaceful place to spend an afternoon & Im glad the museum is putting in the work to make sure some hopefully eventually all of the items get restored or at least archived & taken care of properly. (Taxidermied creatures and thier exhibits could use a little extra love at some point, but I bet they are on the list) cant wait to see everything once its all settled in again. the 3rd floor is Fsntastic!

An outstanding community museum! Three floors of exhibits covering a wide range of interests. Antique autos, wildlife dioramas, antique rifles, local and state history, mineral and bird exhibits, and an area dedicated to the history of Kool-Aid which was created in Hastings, NE. A large format theater and a planetarium are also on site.

I have always enjoyed this museum. I have been here many times for the past 20 years or more. I live in Arizona now and I recently stopped in while visiting family and friends and was very happy with my visit. Very friendly staff and clean museum! Great exhibits for all ages!

I dont even know why I go to other movie theatres. The Hastings Super Screen is the nicest theatre around. Its cool, the seats are comfortable, the floor is carpeted and not sticky soda stained concrete, the sound system is great and of course, theres the HUGE screen. I love going to movies here. I wish they had more more often.

Nice museum, we visited mostly for the Kool-Aid exhibit which is so interesting for 70s children like my husband and I! The other exhibits were very well done too. A very special thanks to the staff lady who suggested we tried a Runza: OMG this was awesome!!!!!

Havent been in years, but they had stuffed Dodo birds, and Carolina parrots, and a nice display of Passenger pigeons, they were one of the first museum to talk about animals going extinct. They prior to the robbery had the best money display I had ever seen, and the phosphorus rock displays ever. Miss going there, its been years.

Two of my sons and I went in 2006. My oldest had gotten hurt at the NeHSRA State Finals and had to med out so he thought it would be fun if we took his baby brother to the museum. Casey was 4 &1/2 and LOVED it! We went to the planetarium and while Casey looked at everyone like we were crazy for looking at the celing, when the lights went down and the stars came out......Ill always remember the look of total awe on his face! :o) I just wish Casey was still here so we could go to the planetarium again

We are far from home visiting a child. We needed stuff to do. Thank you for being one of the few places. We spent an entire day here. Firstly they do not have any food to eat. Just popcorn and candy for the imax. Which is fine we just didnt know- now u do so plan accordingly. Although no outside food or drink allowed in. 3 levels of cool stuff to look at. They had several interactive kid areas. We watched the 3D Amazon movie. I loved that the planiterium was included. Wish it would had been better explained that we could enjoy both shows bc Id of gone to them all. The lady doing it was knowledgable. The staff was very nice and helpful. Not geared for real little kids in my opinion but my 5 and 7 year old had fun.
