The course was beautiful, well kept and challenging while being family friendly! The food at the club house was delicious and the servers were incredibly helpful and friendly. We hope to return!

I’ve played this course for 40 years. In that time, there has never been a better playing and/or dining experience. The clubhouse staff is by far the best it has ever been – from Nicole, the amazing owner, to everyone she has employed, and Ben in the pro shop and all his staff. Extremely friendly, efficient and just plain awesome. The golf course is one of the best around. First class operation in all respects.

It was an exquisitely beautiful day so I picked up my parents for a road trip to scenic Hastings. We took a short walk along the renovated riverfront then headed for Hastings Public House, the restaurant which is part of the Hastings Golf Club. My mom ordered cheese broccoli soup and a burger with fries; my dad and I each ordered a salad with blue cheese crumbles, dried cranberries, and whole candied walnuts topped with seared jumbo shrimp. We ate on the shady side of a bug- free patio and veranda overlooking the well-kept golf course. Our mask-wearing server in the Age of Covid was fun and attentive. The best patio lunch ever!

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Course conditions: immaculate. Greens: the best I’ve been on . Staff: friendly and courteous. Food: fair price and excellent tasting. Everything about Hastings Golf Club is 5 star

Golfed there last Thursday and found this course to be challenging yet fun. An older course with character and large trees. Pay attention to the greens as they were fast and somewhat difficult to read. The service was great and the course was in good shape considering the winter kill this year. Hole no 10 was my favorite with the view from the tee box.

The course itself was in decent condition. The gentleman who was greeting us when we checked in was simply rude. He then proceeded to let a 5 some tee off in front of us after denying my 5 some request. They seem to be living back in the days when they were private.As for the course, good condition on the fairways and greens. They have far to few cart paths as it seems everybody makes their own path and the aesthetics would agree.Summary: decent course, OK - Good condition, poor customer experience

Nice course, but narrow fairways. The greens held chips pretty well, but some of the greens had some rough areas that need repair. The price was good.

Course was in great shape. Stopped and had lunch on the patio. Fish tacos were fantastic!

Absolutely disappointed in todays outing. Poor golf etiquette used by many players on this course. Groups of five within close proximity. Cart social distancing not monitored or followed. Very disappointing for a business to openly not follow state wide and CDC guidelines. Really concerning for many places of business. Furthermore we were double booked on our tee time and were not respected properly as we had made our tee time 24 hours in advance and called again the following day to ensure the course wasnt packed. Not only were we not advised that the course was flooded to the point that people were being double booked. We were told there was no wait. Took us 2:25 to golf 9. Will not be returning. Too many other above average courses in the area for this garbage.

This is a must play course in the Southeast Suburbs. Ben in the pro shop was incredible. The practice area is top notch. The course was incredible condition with amazing greens that were fast but fair, important to keep your approaches below the hole. Hole 14 is probably their signature hole a Par 4 dogleg left with a pond that makes you think off of the tee and a great approach to an elevated green. The par 3’s were very challenging. On course service was impeccable with a very attentive cart girl. I look forward to future rounds at Hastings Golf Club.

This course is a real Gem and always a treat to play a round and have a bite to eat afterwards. The course conditions are fabulous and the staff is friendly and very helpful. A definite must play.

Fun and challenging course...great shape.

Had a blast; we will be coming back for sure. The amazing condition of the putting greens; I loved seeing the ball roll smoothly into the hole. Fantastic short game practice area. Very friendly staff. 5 stars for sure!

Played the course yesterday and the greens were amazing. Best greens I have played on all year and I have played over 40 rounds. They were fast and very true. Hats off to the superintendent and his crew.I regret not playing this course during the summer. I plan on playing numerous times next year. It was great to see employees out there blowing leaves off the greens around noon. It sure helped because the wind was blowing and the leaves were falling. Fall golf! The course has an up North feel to it with all the tree’s. It’s a fair test and will challenge you.The staff was very friendly and the bar area is a great place to have a few after the round.Hodge

What a beautiful patio thats not noisy with the bustle of traffic. Great apps with yummy drinks, too! We hope this continues to be a little Oasis in Hastings!

Was one of my favorite private courses and now excited it’s open to the public. Glad they joined the Public Country Club program too. Will drive from Shakopee to play a handful of times per year. Friendly staff and really good food in the pub. Course is always in great shape.

This course was better than I remembered it. I liked the speed of the greens and the picturesque views from the tees. Some holes make you think you are up north. Always nice to get to play some of the south metro secret gems.

A very comfortable place to eat and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The new management is very nice. They are doing their darnedest to make you enjoy your time. The food is very good also.

Total. Gem. Loved it. Country club quality. Challenging but not punishing. And very pretty. Got a lot of everything I like on a course. Good deal. Good time.

Great golf course, with many interesting holes. Lots of decisions involving risk/reward on the frequent dogleg holes. Good turf everywhere, nice level tee boxes, and smooth, fast greens. Clubhouse looks recently remodeled and has a friendly, attentive staff. Course has 4 sets of tees so golfers of all abilities can play a distance that is right for them. Highly recommended. Only 30 minutes from the center of the metro area.

Food was fantastic! It tasted like home cooking made with love rather than just the usual dining venue foods. The atmosphere was amazing. Very low key and peaceful. Great decor and service. Highly recommend adding this place to your usual options when eating out.

Great place for a wedding and reception.

Such a great course layout. Really enjoyed playing this track. Trees are trimmed high up, so if you do hit a ball in the rough and find yourself under a tree, you have a swing. Restaurant staff is very friendly; especially Kris (I believe is her name). She was friendly, inviting and helpful. The Pro (Ben I believe this is his name) cares about his course and will go above, and beyond to connect with his guests.

This course used to be private and now is open to the public. Great course at a good price. Had fun playing there.

Long drive from the Twin Cities but a great course and great service. Has a few quirky holes including a par four that dog-legs over a lake to a green with an extreme slant. Pulled pork sandwiches quickly avl at the turn and good. Great bar service.

My last trip to The Hastings Golf Club was the exact reason you should go visit and play when the weather finally turns to summer. The golf course was in pristine condition, the greens were in considerably perfect shape. Every green rolled the same making for an enjoyable round. The course is accessible for those out to enjoy a nice afternoon but at the same time it will challenge even the best. Finally, and what truly separates HGC from other courses, the people working in the pro shop and restaurant are extremely polite and happy to do what they can to make your visit perfect.Do yourself a favor and go visit the Hastings Golf Club this spring or summer.

I recently went to an event at Dakota Pines Golf Club and everything about it was amazing! The staff were all incredibly friendly, accommodating, and made me feel like I was their only guest. The food was really, really good! The room set up and the flow of the banquet area for people coming in, getting drinks at the bar, getting food, mingling, seating for dinner, and the dance floor was great. The decor and the ambiance was perfect for the event. I would definitely hold my next event here whether that was a party, work event, or golf outing.

Greens and course were in great shape. Very nice practice area. Wonderful club house with friendly staff. Definitely will be coming back to play Hastings golf club again soon.

I have been meaning to check out this course since I first heard about it a while ago. Waiting this long was a mistake! I really enjoyed my round here. Lots of variety in the hole layout with good elevation changes and distances. It’s a good test of lots of different shots. And it is a fair test of golf. Mistakes are penalized, but not unfairly.

I had a great time with my buddy Khanh. The staff was friendly and very helpful to us since it was are first time playing there. Cant wait to get a foursome together and golf and eat and drink this year there nice track .

Managed to sqeeze in a round last summer during the period when we received an absurd amount of rain and the course was in great shape! There were a few wet spots but way better than I expected. I’m looking forward to playing it this summer again. The layout is very fun and challenging.The staff was great too. I had a coupon for a $20 round and they treated me as if I were a member.

Great course from top to bottom . Very nice,large locker rooms . Well taken care of landscaping and a great elevated driving range . Beautiful views from the club house . The course it quite challenging with a lot of mature trees that will cause trouble . The course had a lot of elevation change, very fast greens, and was in great shape.

Hospitality at its best! I followed Nicole from her former venue to Dakota Pines. The accommodations are great and if you want a perfectly hosted event with amazing food and great service, Nicole knows how to host a party!

Course was in great shape when I played it last summer. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I look forward to going back again.

I played this course when it was the HCC and then as Dakota Pines. Im very excited to play it more this summer under the new name! The staff is always friendly and the course is beautiful, challenging and a fun course to play!

Course was great and the new restaurant would be worth it alone to eat for dinner. Cool driving range as well.

Staff was friendly all around. From checking in to the bar and Bev cart to some of the grounds guys we ran into. Course was in phenomenal shape. Can’t wait to get back there this year and set a new course record.

They claim to be one of the premier golf courses in Minnesota. This course had nothing y pique or memorable to brag about. Conditions were ok and the layout was very non-dewcript and very unforgettable.

Not a bad transformation for this once country club. I enjoyed myself for the first time in about 5-6 years since I last golfed what was, Hastings Country Club. I typically shoot between 88-92, so my opinion may not matter, but there are a couple changes I would make.The first, the tee boxes need a little tending too. Theyre comparable to your fairway first cuts and a bit to soccer/football field mounded. Hard to find a level spot for teeing off on some holes, more than others.The second are your traps. Rock hard and not very forgiving. You really cant sink your feet in and get under the ball all that much.Outside of that, greens were looking great as were the fairways and the clubhouse was also looking very nice and clean. Id definitely go back for some more rounds, just some minor cosmetic tendy to, to be done.#knowbeforeyougo

Played for the first time on opening day today - very impressed. Excellent condition for March 11 in Minnesota, and its really a fun course. You play a lot of courses in the area that have one or two holes that are there only because they needed 18 of them, but Every hole at Dakota Pines is unique, interesting and challenging - while staying playable and fun.Service at the Pro Shop and in the restaurant t is as good as you could ask for, we stayed for dinner and the food is quite good and reasonably priced.Highly recommend the course - youll enjoy it!

While pulling up looks like a pretty nice venue, the golf course on the other hand needs some updating after going from private to public. First time playing, and probably my last for awhile, on course there is no signs for the holes, minimal cart paths let alone where to go after the next hole. Greens were in decent shape, staff was pretty helpful besides the drink girl drove right past us(she was new no biggie) she didnt miss us after we caught her on the back 9. For the money they are asking I believe its to much rival courses in the neighborhood have twilight specials for $27 for 18 and cart after 2pm. Just needs to either spend money to make money or lower your prices and be competitive if your complacent with your course.Thanks!

Really good, challenging course with excellent conditions. Hosted 2012 MGA Amateur Championship, Minnesota State Open, Minnesota Womens Amateur, Minnesota Senior State Open. Worth playing.

Former private club, still in great shape. Tree lined holes, but not too tight or thick where you can find balls under them. Priced a little high.

One of the best courses in the metro area. The staff (pros and all) are very friendly and accommodating. Such a well kept course. The greens and bunkers are always in good shape.

Age 55+. Foursome. Enjoyable round. Fairways and greens already in GREAT shape. Some up and down, but walkable. Cant wait to see it in the summer.

The course has a lot of history for me and the challenge is always new. The greens are subtle. The trees make you think position.

We ate in the Pub and the food was awful! My husband had the cod fish fry and there was more batter on the fish than there was fish and they mustve dumped the whole salt shaker on the fries! I had shrimp taco and the shrimp were not fully cooked and were cold. Served with salsa and chips?? As we were leaving another couple asked how our food was and she said theirs was awful also and would not be going back. It will be a very long time before we go back, if ever.

A absolute staple of the Hastings community. A contemporary refresh of the dining area provides an excellent dining experience. Beautiful views maintained by a professional grounds keeper and reasonable prices populate a refined menu. Its a pity that the pool was shut down as it was maintained in 1999 by some epic lifeguards (huba huba) but all good things must pass.

Tough and challenging golf course. Lots of different golf shots too play. The cart path are in very rough shape.
