We had such an amazing experience at pine and iron! Axe throwing is a lot harder than it looks but, such and amazing thing to learn. Our instructor Ericko was patient and very hospitable. With everything that has been going on in 2020 this was such a great way to decompress and let loose after a very long quarantine. I cannot wait you go back and give this another shot. It was honestly so worth it!

Reservation is needed. First time throwing an axe and I had a lot of fun. They showed me and my wife how to throw two different axes. They provide a score sheet to keep track of points which you earn by hitting different spots on the target. Definitely want to go back with a bigger group, and with more time. There may have been a bar, but I dont drink so I didnt think to check.

This was definitely a fun & different experience. Staff is so friendly here from you walk in, very good customer service. In a perfect location definitely plan to come back for another group outing & highly recommend to anyone looking to try a new activity out.

Husband and I had a date night and found this place. Great brewery down the hall , able to bring in 2 drinks per person and food! Chris was our instructor - informative and funny! Def a vibe!

It was very welcoming and nice place to enjoy with groups , Friends and even two people. They have all the safety a procedure and good precautions. We enjoyed our time there. Love the adventure. Highly recommend. Please check it out it would be new experience.

Awesome place to go for a unique activity. The instructors are great and they are very safety conscious. Kind of hard to find the entrance from the street if you aren’t from the area.

Genuinely very fun, the staff get you through a quick safety and technique briefing and then you and your friends get enough time to finish one round for points. Theyre always on hand and keep and eye out for you and its all very safe -- did not see any axe still in the air past the red line, which they properly emphasize for safety reasonsWould very much recommend for a fun time (substitute one bowling night for it maybe) and would definitely come back again

I organized an event at Pine & Iron for a group of UConn Law students and it was a fantastic time! Matt was incredibly helpful from start to finish and was extremely patient and understanding of the restrictions I faced hosting an event through a public university. Once there, all staff were again incredibly helpful and kind. Everything went off without a hitch! Thank you!

Pine & Iron was a fantastic experience! I recommend going next door to the brewery and buying/refilling a growler! Pine has a thoughtful refrigerator and Solo cups available for anyone that takes advantage of the BYOB.Pine & Iron offered a creative experience for beginner axe throwers. Our group was offered two different throwing axe sizes to accommodate different throwing styles and body sizes. Overall, P&I created a unique experience at a great cost. I highly recommend this to everyone. I will definitely be returning!

For the second year we held our holiday staff party with an axe throwing extravaganza at Pine & Iron. The staff, from the front desk to the coaches, is awesome to work with and the space is perfect for throwing, eating, drinking and hanging out. So. Much. Fun!!

We always have a blast at Pine & Iron! The atmosphere is great and the trainers are excellent. We hosted a corporate team building event here and it was a huge success, everyone enjoyed it.

Had an awesome time, sign the waiver and they give you a brief demonstration on how to throw the axes; got a lane and played 4 games in an hour very fun

Went here on a company outing with 15 others. The staff were very friendly and outgoing and made the experience wonderful. I was a complete beginner but after a few rounds of tips from the trainer staff they have chaperoning the lane i was scoring points like a pro. We spent about 3 hours total here and enjoyed every minute of it. Will definitely be back with friends or on a date night. Location is byob and offers a fridge on site if you want to keep stuff cold. They also offer soft drinks and swag if you want to purchase a hoodie or tee shirt.

Crazy busy on a Friday night. Thankfully we had a reservation.The first time we went in November it was quieter and we were given more flexibility. This visit they were much busier and therefore more strict. Our coach also used a lot of our limited throwing time to go over rules and how to throw even though wed been before. We didnt even have enough time to finish one game!Overall we still had a great time!

This was so much fun! We had a great time with some friends here. An hour was plenty of time for us to play. The staff were super friendly and instructions clear. We got to try both the small and larger axes. Its a great group activity and we will certainly be going back.

I recently visited Pine & Iron after reserving a couple lanes on their website for a group of friends. After arriving and signing in at the front desk, their excellent staff helped to teach us the basics to axe throwing because none of us had ever been. Our group was blown away by how fun it was to throw axes! They have a really cool environment inside and we all had a great time. This was way more fun than we expected.I highly recommend everyone to check out Pine & Iron – we will definitely be going back soon!

What can be said, you get to THROW AXES! A personable and able bodied staff begin the experience. The lanes are wide enough to prevent you from feeling constrained. Definitely try throwing one of the big axes! The only complaint is I wish we had more time, an hour goes by really fast. But I understand why its an hour. Id gladly go back.

Great experience ! The hosts/trainers were very welcoming and helpful and were constantly helping us to improve our axe throwing skills.

We had a blast when we went axe throwing. The employees were very helpful in explaining the safety rules and the proper ways to throw the axe to make it land perfectly on target every time. Also, being right next to the brewery makes for a fun night out. The only negative thing I have to say about this place is the price. It is a little in the high side, but Im guessing the overhead and insurance is alot. If you can get a full lane then you will maximize your value. All in all I we would totally go again.

Its easier then youd think. Had a blast my wife took me for my birthday. Its BYOB which was a nice different twist.

Such a cool spot in Hartford! Super fun- we booked two lanes for one hour but should have booked two hours. With Hog River brewery next door you cant go wrong.

I had a 6pm to 7pm lane reservation. They said they had to clean up from a previous party and I would get extra time for cutting into our reservation. They started us at 630 ended us at 650 told us after they were not giving us the roll over time. So i paid 66 dollars to listen to a guy tell us how to throw an axe for 20 mins. The place seems cool but very disapointed in the service.

Fun spot for a night out, nice when it’s not over packed and loud. Staff is amazing and friendly.

We went here last week for a company team building exercise, I think it is fair to say that fun was had by all. Throwing axes is not nearly as easy as it looks in the movies or on TV.

A ton of fun, great for large groups. Not easy, but dont get discouraged!

The trainers were very friendly and took the time to make sure you knew what you were doing.
