I absolutely LOVED this old movie house! And thats what it reminded me of, a movie house, its way to beautiful to be called just a theater! I do think they are in the process of restoring it because they do add on a couple of dollars to your very inexpensive ticket price, which they do have a sign so you know ahead of time. But completely worth the extra to see what I feel is a beautiful piece of history & art! The seats are not recliners or anything & I do have back problems, but I never even noticed. I was completely comfortable!!! They have pretty decent padding & support for being so old! I took my 5 year old Niece for the Saturday Morning Experience - Superhero Edition cartoons, ones I watched when I was growing up & she loved it! They are also offering some older movies over the next few weeks that I will definitely be coming back for to enjoy remembering the past! Definitely a place to bring the family on a day out or even just go by yourself, they are all very welcoming!

The seating space is a little cramped and not as comfy but its an older theater so it makes sense. The events they put on there are organized, friendly staff, and its always a good time. Its definitely a place geared towards community. Its a great spot to watch older movies or host gatherings.

The fox theatre is Awesome!!Last night I went to see An American Werewolf In London. The admission price was 7 dollars. The movie was great, but more importantly it is just a wonderful atmosphere. Also did you know you can can smoke at the theater. They have a special smoking perch on a balcony right behind the Marquee on the upper level! The movie was playing on flat screens in the lobbies upstairs and down stairs. I got up to smoke and I didnt even have to miss out on what was happening in the movie.In a few weeks they are going to have silent films, with an actual organ, and I imagine and old man in the back turning a handle on an old time projector! The tickets are going to cost 10 dollars...I will be there for sure!!

The old fashioned atmosphere is terrific. The light show on the ceiling is something unique. They always run fun movies

Its such a good atmosphere, very connected to the community. They dont do refills on drinks or popcorn but theyd let you sit in the lobby theater with a noisy baby with them and watch the movie that plays on the TV. Plus people dress up for the movies and they have nice balcony seating, its just a nice place to be if youre able to catch a show.

We love the Fox Theater Hanford California. Throwback films, silent comedies and kids matinees are always fun. We have also attended concerts and Nutcracker ballet here in the past and had a great time without having to travel. There are no bad seats and concessions are available. Love this place! We live in a small town and having such an awesome place is wonderful for us.

Went to see Back to the Future, sat in the balcony and had a great time. Very comfy place to enjoy a flick.

I love this historic theater, every time I go its like a piece of History. Shes a show things from classic time periods such as The Princess Bride and Star Wars the original series. Where else are you going to get a chance to see Star Wars on the big screen, I mean come on people check this place out its super cool

Felt like I traveled in a time machine when I watched the Superman movie here. It was a very unique experience watching an old movie in a theater that has all the feeling of the olden days

Really cool that they are playing Saturday morning cartoons and playing classic movies. Of course some shows roll through on occasion ( I wish they would get more), and you can always hang out next door at Lush the wine bar, and see Kayla. Shes pretty awesome, so thats always a plus.

I really enjoy coming here there so friendly and the prices are affordable and there popcorn is bomb. I definitely recommend you coming here with friends/ family

We watched the Grinch for the holidays. The family enjoyed it. Seats were a little uncomfortable but it is so beautiful inside that one forgets about the seats.

No form of entertainment had ever been as accessible or as popular.The opening of a new movie theatre in town was cause for public celebration, with all the hoopla normally reserved for a major movie premiere.Even in Hanford, front page coverage of the December 1929 Grand Opening of The Fox dominated the Christmas holiday news. Built by William Fox of Fox Theaters in 1929, and one of 900+ across the United States, the Hanford Fox Theatre is designed as an atmospheric theatre. This type of theatre, as opposed to the ornate or art deco style, is designed to create the illusion of being located in a romantic far-off place. The locale is a Spanish courtyard, complete with twinkling stars and crescent moon in a dark night sky. There are tile covered buildings with lighted windows, balconies and turrets, silhouetted and backlighted by the glow of a village beyond. In the shadows rise mountains covered with cypress and palm trees. Greco-Roman columns support the proscenium. Further back are Mediteranian and Spanish renaissance influences, but the over all decor is Mission Revival. Very eclectic, yet appropriate.Each theatre was required to have a fire-proof screen to separate backstage from the audience. Great venue and my seats were great. However, I was highly disappointed at the organization of the autograph session. I was told to stand in line and was continuously cut in front of. There was no staff honoring the line or organizing fans. It was ridiculous and ruined my experience at the end.

I never been there always go past it but beautiful from the outside. Till I see and been there 3 stars

Went to the KSKS Very Merry Christmas show tonight and the experience was awful... had to leave after ParmaLee performed. The musicians were awesome and very enjoyable. It was the audience that was terrible !! I was hit in the head twice with elbows, by 2 girls standing up at their seats and dancing crazy, then being blinded on all sides by inconsiderate patrons on their cell phones !! No security in the theatre... they were all out in the lobby. The show is for everyone to enjoy and Im wondering WHY cell phones are allowed during the performance ? People can still have a good time without ruining it for others... most inconsiderate, uncivilized audience I have ever encountered. I did ask to be moved to another seat but none were available, so I went home simply disgusted with the way the Hanford Fox Theatre handled the whole situation. Once again, it serves no purpose to have security when they are all in the lobby !! You wont care that I will never be back for another show.
