Awesome place to spend an afternoon with your kids or grandkids. Animals big playground, whats not to like. My little once love going there

Went online to check out reviews prior to going and many people shared that they had a blast. Decided to take my squad and meet up with a friend. It was a nice day and the arboretum and trails looked great. But, I was disappointed to see that the playground was tapped off (see in the background photos of my boys). Yet, the stage under the gazebo was used as a haybell playground by ALL the children who visited the farm. Some of the animals were outside but you could not enter the barn areas, nor could food be purchased to feed the goats. Staff and volunteers were friendly. They only seemed bothered when my toddler slid his way into one of the barns. LolOverall, We made the best of our time.If you’re planning on visiting, I would suggest making a picnic out of visiting but don’t expect much by ways of playing on equipment or hanging with the animals.

I love taking my son here. The peacocks running around are awesome. And on a nice day you can feed all the animals and pet them. They do a lot of good here for the animals and rescues!

This is such a great park/farm.There are a lot of different animals and a lot of room to walk. Perfect for children and free. Bring some quarters so you can buy some animal food for the goats and lamas!

Great place to go to get kids out of the house and into nature. Educational and free. Friendly and informative staff. We go there as often as we can.

Nice petting zoo. You cannot get in the pen with the animals but they have nice paths around the pens. The food can be purchased in the barn for $1.00 for a small bag. The flowers are beautiful and the park is well kept. They have a donkey, horses, pigs, cows, goats, alpacas, and either emu or ostrich Im not sure which.

Its close to a lot of other stuff yet still has a nature feel. Because of the virus you cant feed the animals or go in some of the buildings. They have done some nice upgrades like a new bathroom building and are updating one of the animals enclosures. There fall festival is a ton of fun. If youve never been check this place out.

Im thinking about bringing my kids here but I have somewhat of a safety issue concern are any staff members watching the peacocks while they are out roaming free ? While people are walking throughout the park with their children I wouldnt want anyone getting hurt.

Great picnic areas but very noisy due to being by Highway 64.

Rundown, in need of serious updating. Animals are overfed. None of the buildings are open, and thirds info is publicized. Sad to see a Red-Tailed Hawk and a Great Northern Owl in cages so small flying is impossible.

Ive been coming to blue bird since I was little and now am able to bring my own daughter. We love the animals and my two year old especially loves the garden area

Although nothing can be perfect during these times...this was a nearly there. No reason I can see to not enjoy some free outside happiness.

This well kept farm is such a great Sunday activity for the kids. Free of charge while offering availability of animal food for a small fee. There’s a park to keep all ages happy.

I have fun here, my kid has fun here. I love animals, my kid is afraid of goats. Its perfect! The playground is amazing, and clean. The garden is beautiful. There are animals you can pet and peacocks on the loose.

Great place to take the kids. Its free, there is a proper park there, and if you catch it right, you can feed some animals. Kids Loved it.

This is a great, and free, place to bring kids! Even if you have real little ones (we have a 15 month old) they will certainly enjoy themselves here. They have a rather large playground that was packed with kids on a Saturday afternoon as well as an assortment of farm animals including horses, goats, pigs and a coop with chickens. Parking is free and they have a covered picnic area for large groups. Just make sure to bring your own snacks and refreshments as it doesnt look like their snack bar is up and running.

Great place to bring the kids. There is somewhat of a petting zoo. You can buy pellets to feed the animals, etc.. Horses, chickens, goats, peacocks, ducks, geese, etc.. Also a playground for the kids.

My son and I enjoyed going here. We had fun. Very nice outdoor place to bring the family.

If you are looking for a free place to take the kids to entertain them this is a great place. The playground is always a big hit. The animals are a big hit with the pretty peacocks being the center of most attention. Highly recommended for those nice days to get out of the house.

Lovely little place. We stopped to let are little one see the animals and play. Its was very hot but it was still very easy and comfortable to walk. Animals are well taken care of and very friendly

Always a fun place to take the kids! Plenty of animals to feed and pet, cute spots to take pictures, and a very nice childrens park! Only concern - some of those fly bites on the animals looked pretty bad and needed more care.

This is one of my family’s absolute favorite places! We’re homeschoolers and really appreciate the waterfowl program. Really all of the aspects of Bluebird Gap Farm make us VERY happy! We get such a fun and enjoyable experience with SO much education sprinkled in!! We’d love to see them be able to add more!!! We want more. ️️️

Lovely little spot right off 64. Well-maintained playground and many friendly animals. Bring some cash for the vending machine to buy food for the animals! Small snack shack for human food, but your welcome to bring your own picnic lunch. Great for younger kids.

Love it, animal look in good health. Most all the pets let me pet them for some food. You can buy a small bag of food for a $1 an the best part the admit is free its great for kids and adults.

What a great place to visit. Animals look healthy and happy. If youre in the area stop by for a visit.

The admission is free and open during great hours. Animals are great for petting and being around children. It even has a playground for smaller children. Would appreciate attendants being around for visitors.

I am trying to get the kids out during the whole covid19 deal to get them outside more, so I decided to go here. We went around 10am and there was a good handful of people there. There isnt a good amount of social distancing going on since everyone and every kid likes to stop and view the animals all at the same time. A small bit of a problem was another small kid coughed in my daughters face and with the virus going on, you can get a bit paranoid because of it. There wasnt much animal activity going on except the goat area. The barn wasnt opened yet because of feeding. Also the play ground is closed. So maybe going at a different time of the day the animals will all be out and there wouldnt be much people activity either. But the other times we did go there prior to covid19, the farm is an awesome place to go.

Its great andits free. I take my kids here as often as possible. Bring $1 for animal feed. My only suggestion for improvement would be to add snack and drink machines as well as another drinking fountain, otherwise we LOVE the place

Loved it beautiful plants and gardens loved seeing butterflies everywhere. Alot of antiques to look at.

I take my son here quite often, if you want to feed the animals . Go in mornings. After a certain time they run out of food. And they will not refill that way animals are not overfeed. Food is in vending machine inside stables and cost a dollar per bag. It accepts cash or coins. Also if you walk a distance back toward your left upon entrance there are huge tortoises, duck pond and few other bird exhibits. They do not have deer anymore. For free these place is maintain well.

We went for the Halloween pumpkin patch and it was amazing! Loads of cool activities for the kids. Food drinks anything you need. Great music! And beautiful animals. My kids loved it and I did too. Had a great time !

My favorite place to take our children! They have adorable farm animals you can feed (make sure you bring quarters!) and a good playground. They recently updated their bathrooms and have vending machines as well! Great place to get outside :)

What a great little park and its even better that it is free! This is the kind of tax payer funded program that I can support! Its only 1/2 a mile from my house and my daughter had fun. Hampton is doing it right!

Great free park! Buy a little bag of food to feed the animals. Goats, llamas, chickens, cows horses, donkeys, tortoises, and birds. Lots of fun and the playground is great too. Just a fun way to spend some time.

Great park with animals, beautiful gardens, grills and small hiking trail! Just discovered it and definitely will be coming back!

A great family day! The animals were fun to pet and feed. Great playground area as well!

Everything about this park is great. We loved the farm and the play ground. The animals seem pretty happy and the care takers are very kind and invited all the kids to come and watch the animals be fed. My one year old loved the peacocks and had a lot of fun following them.

Best place to take children and enjoy your day.It has picnic tables and stage.good place to celebrate birthday parties (reservation needed). We always donate to support the farm. The only thing it would be nice to have a sound barrier wall next to the arboretum to reduce the noise from I-64.

These rescues are so precious and very well taken care of its so fun to take younger children there early in the morning is the best time because there will still be animal food in the vending machine its a dollar for a good amount of food to feed the live stock!! Which is a real treat for the little one great photo of spots as well as a large playground area oh and the best part is its free entry

Inconsistent Hampton Parks policies, playgrounds at other parks are open, but this one was taped off.

They have a large playground area for the children, a petting zoo, and is just a really nice park.

For it to be almost January it was pleasantly warm outside.
