This is one of the best beaches in the North East. Its long, wide and pristinly clean. I love making the 2.5 hour trip to come here because its so clean and beautiful! There is so much to do here also. There is also plenty of bathrooms and some really cool rock formations to climb on at the Northern side. Great job Hampton Beach. There is a reason why you are in the top 10 of rated beaches in the United States. Keep up the great work Hampton Beach !! :)

Popular beach, we went mid week in late September. The arcade and most shops were closed. But the state park and the restrooms were open. Parking is $2.00 per hour. But the parking lot behind the arcade charges $10 per day. Get there early as the lots fill up early. The Sea Ketch @ the arcade is a favorite restaurant of ours with great views of the beach and ocean. It opens @ 7am for breakfast in season and has hours all day.

A great place to go during COVID times. Spacious beaches and not a lot of foot traffic. The bathrooms by the hatch shell are open.

Great place. Get here early for parking. Full day cost me around $20.00which is great. Public restroom s open. Everyone is pragmatic and safe under condition of pandemic restrictions. Got to love NH for keeping it real and safe at the same time, and not paranoid and fearful.

Got to see the sand sculptures finished. The waves were amazing. It was a night walk on the beach. We ate at the Galley Hatch. A very nice dinner. Amazing time with my husband!

Ive been going to Hampton Beach since I was a young child. Great place to get food, arcades are open during the summer, very family-oriented. Went there last weekend with my girlfriend brought back a lot of good memories

The people are amazing and friendly. Its the best place for a bit of fun and the tourists are completely random. Its a great place for a fresh perspective.

It was unusually warm this past week and we had a great time waking on the beach and the kids really enjoyed the bubble lady!!

Excellent beach with many stores, restaurants, n bars... plenty of hotels n motels for vacationing.. the area is beautiful.

Nice place. Sandy and it had big waves the day I went. Paid $20 for parking right next to the beach. Tons of places to eat. Two big arcades too.

Good Old Hampton Beach.This place is Classic. I cant say enough. You just gotta go see for yourself. Great atmosphere!! There was live entertainment along the boardwalk style area. Plenty of shops and great food. I would highly recommend this beach to all of my friends and family.

It was okay, the sand castle were incredible! Covid has changed the atmosphere, not a relaxing friendly beach anymore.

Such a clean beach. Everyone in the family had a lot of fun. We got there at around 5pm and it wasnt crowded at all and everyone was practicing social distancing. Parking was also very affordable at only $10 for the day. Be careful for the seagulls though they are very daring and can steal your snacks. Lol...We are definitely going to be back.

LOVED this beach. SO CLEAN, sand is perfect though very hot. Parking is nearby but there is no boardwalk on the state park end so be prepared to walk in. Water is cold but not too many waves. Kids loved playing and climbing on the rock wall! Would highly recommend reserving parking in advance on nhstateparks.org!

Beautiful beach and fun boardwalk with arcades and food. Gorgeous sand sculptures this year. One of the few places to host a sand sculpture competition this year.

Always has been a nice place to visit, and an okay place to live. I love the stores and attractions around here. 3 stars because the police department staff are incredibly rude, even when trying to make normal nice conversation, and most places here are a hole in your pocket to live in. But i wouldnt recommend staying here for too long because the police here (unlike seabrook pd) always are looking for something to give you a hassle about. Be careful but have a good time because its a great place with a wide variety of fun activities to do.

Great beach in the town of Hampton Beach, New Hampshire. Although popular, plenty of cheap parking and spots in the sand available. I was impressed by how clean the beach was. Towards one end, there is a large outcropping of rocks. This creates some tidal pools, which are fun for exploring marine life. The beach is bordered by Ocean Boulevard, which is a commercial district catering to tourists: gift shops, pizzerias, and the like.

I have always loved this beach since childhood! Ive been coming every summer to Hampton Beach for over 40 years! Clean, well maintained! Up to date bathroom facilities throughout the endless Boardwalk! Family friendly yet offers a killer nightlife for the young and old!

Fabulous huge beach and very clean. They have a strip/boardwalk across the street with wonderful shopping, good and beverages. They also have a massive playground for the little ones as well. My family has been vacationing there for years. Big variety of hotels and rentals as well, just a beautiful, fun spot all summer long ️️

Beautiful, the day was perfect, temps in the 70s. People (with mask on), very polite and also enjoying the day. The stores that were open had great sales!

I loved the beach it was absolutely beautiful, the board walk is small compare to other bigger beaches obviously. But it has a decent amount of stores and places to eat and lots of people are walking up and down skating and biking as well. The food and the views it has to offer especially the night life was really nice as well. All in all I had a great trip and would recommend the beach to others.

What an absolutely awesome place to hang out. Great place obviously to beach but afterwards you can find a nice place for casual dinner or stop off for a nice cold beer or drink and even catch some live music. It has something for everyone. Great for kids as well

Just a great beach. Its massive, clean and just off the beach is anything you need. Forgot an umbrella? Its there. Need a towel? Food? Snacks? Right there. Plus there are also several good restaurants there as well as arcades , ski ball , games .. you name it! Nightly concerts on the pavilion stage and fireworks every Wednesday! Just a great family beach!

End of the year gr8 rates not alot of games or shoppers open I had a sunny stay. As always Frommers was excellent for chicken bucket on the beach and of course breakfast! Chicken waffle u gotta try!

Not over crowded. Closed main drag, Beach Blvd. Very laid back and nice. Can cross the street with no worries. There are plenty wearing masks...some shops require masks and some shops say no mask required. Covid-19 has definitely made an impact.

Not everyones favorite beach but nevertheless should be visited by beachcomber at least once. It offers a lot while being the cookie cutter of New England resort with the usual well organized services, clean sand, cheesy stores and eateries.

Hampton is my favorite beach in all of New England. Its clean and there is plenty to do besides sit on the beach. Highly recommend

Absolutely wonderful for a weekend get away

A lovely beach! Not far from Portsmouth. No steps down to the beach, but deep sand along path would be hard for wheelchairs. Plenty of changing rooms & restrooms. There was a lifeguard walking along the beach keeping an eye on safety.

Very nice for family. Lots of shopping and restaurants with a huge beach safe for social distancing. Beautiful as well.

The main drag had been blocked to traffics so that made a big difference in being able to distance. Not over crowded, but this was a Thursday how ever by noon the beach was. Seems a lot of the older stores and food stands are being bought up and condos are going in. So sad. Over all though still had a great time. I suspect it will be different on the weekends though.

We love coming here on our anniversary every year. Even with covid Hampton has taken steps to make it safe for visiting. Unfortunately some of our favorite shops have been forced to close but the visit was still worth the drive. Keep up the good work NH.

No social distancing and most people not wearing a mask. Went to get ice cream and the worker was not wearing a mask. Two state workers, no mask. The beach was nice and the public restrooms were clean.

The beach has a good amount of sand for kids, they have public restrooms with flush toilets and well stocked toilet paper and soap. It has showers to rinse off sand, and close affordable parking. It gets pretty crowded, but I think thats because its such a good beach. You cant control the ocean though so sometimes there is a lot of seaweed, and we once got stung by a jellyfish, but we find crabs, shells, hermit crabs, starfish, etc. and the family has more positive memories than negative ones. Beware of hazy days though, it feels quite cool and you dont feel the direct sun but your skin is definitely getting it, so make sure to apply and reapply sunscreen often.

Been there a couple of times. Very clean beach and lots of vendors and places to eat. Parking on the other hand you need to start out early or its gonna be tuff finding one. Love it

Nice and clean beach. Fun for all family members. Water is very clean and the beach is very well maintained. If the state park parking is full, park your vehicle in local garage nearby.

Took my disabled mother to the beach at the State Park. We were able to drive up to the front row and park in Handicap Parking. It allowed us to take the short walk to the beach. It was clean. The restrooms were available and spotless!Great experience!

Its a classic beach. Its nice but usually pretty crowded. Luckily. With so much space its not hard to find a good spot if you go early enough. I went very early for photos but didnt stay long. During COVID, its best to avoid the beach or any public place when a large group is also there. Otherwise. Its a fantastic place with a lot of fun shops and food around the block

This was my first time at Hampton Beach and I loved it. The place was clean everybody was social distance the food on the walkway was delicious. I cant wait to go back.

This is a very nice beach with a nice sidewalk by it. They reduced parking and closed part of route 1A for businesses to operate outdoors due to covid. But no one was wearing mask anywhere on beach or sidewalk. So if you are concerned about catching covid do not go there.

Beautiful atmosphere, friendly people, cleanest sand in the northeast probably. Great Street fare and food along the stretch. It was absolutely hot by the water was super cold and refreshing. Will definitely go again

Its a good area. Beach on one side river on the other side (separated by a long rock jedi.) You can fish for stripers in the river. Public bathrooms that are a kinda long walk from the beach. They also have a convenience store (except in 2020)

Beautiful beach, unfortunately the park gets trashed every weekend. They may want to consider having a clean up crew make an late afternoon check before the critters indulge in the garbage. I watched the people trying to clean up crew scurrying while people were coming to the beach. They looked very stressed out.

Beautiful weather and day! The hardest part is navigating around others who werent wearing masks in the public restroom. Pay to park in advance online and please wear a mask when you arent able to social distance on the walkway.

Parking is great and facilities are clean and plentiful. Having said that, I doubt the state is actually limiting the number of people who can be on the beach. When we were there, the place was PACKED. Id really like to know what their 50% capacity number is and if theyre really adhering to it.

Hampton is a great beach and plenty of food, fun and people watching. Beach is clean, they take and smooth out nightly. Parking is available but it does get crowded on those hour summer days. Bathroom facilities are available but not always the cleanest cause people can be pigs.Come to Hampton, you will be glad you did!

Clean Beach. Not crowded during off season. Arcade across the road was handy for food and souvenir shopping.

I have been going here since i was little. My dad is thr Bass player in Angela West and Showdown. I just love how the people at Hampton are still letting alk these shows happen for people whi really enjoy them.

The beach was well kept, groomed/swept nightly. Cant speak for the weekends because we were there during the week. Wasnt overly crowded.

The beach was great! The water was warm and the beach was clean. Some areas do get pretty packed but if you go early itll be easier to get a nice spot.

Really love this beach. Has alot to do and good restaurants and the beach is very clean. Has a board walk.

I love the setup they have going on now with the middle blocked off to cars and everyone getting to walk around more and not have to cram to one side and worry about getting hit by a car. Always love coming up here. Much rather drive 45 minutes north then drive 5 minutes down the road to Revere Beach.

We reserved a day pass, $16, and saw that the park is operating at 50% capacity, which was nice. We barely saw anyone wearing masks but its kinda impossible to wear it when your swimming.. Concessions and showers were closed. It was a nice time! Mild waves.

Had a great day. The main road along the beach is closed to traffic so lots of space for outdoor eating and skateboarding. This is a huge sandy beach so no tide pools or anything like that. Just lots of space and great waves. Bathrooms were very clean.

Beautiful view of the ocean from the wall. Definitely one of the best spots for lounging and watching the waves crash on the rocks below.

Second time around was nicer due to the midweek visit and later in the afternoon. The beach was empty therefore we found parking easily, pay by meter. Walked Hampton beach and enjoyed the reasonably priced gift shops along the boardwalk.

Brings me back to teen years. Pretty has ever.

I used to come here as a kid. I just recently went back and nothing has changed. It’s clean, quiet, and convenient. I recommend making a reservation online to secure a parking spot before you go.

I was so excited the beach was finally open. But Im not liking the strip not being open. There are so many stores no open because of the social distancing! I will tell you if your on the beach swimming theres none of that!! So open all the way!

Beautiful sandy beaches. Very wide excellent for walking out running or even horse back riding. There were horses on the beach, even saw a baby seal on the beach! Easy access with parking.

I am from CT and been going to this beach for past 11 years. It is a very clean & well maintained beach. Boardwalk is also very good. Have quite a few good places to eat and shop.
