Beautiful presentation on the outside. Sound on the inside was good. Say in 2 sperate locations for the 2 different nights. Nose bleed section was good but one level down, sound was a little better. View was great either way. Staff was helpful, friendly and some very entertaining. They were having a good time with us.

I came here to see Tool on May 10, 2019. First rock concert ever. I had a great view from section T, row , seats 3-5. Looking over the floor seats and close to the stage. The rail didnt obstruct the view at all. It was a great show. Well staffed. By 1030 I couldnt get a beer (not selling/closed) while the show went on til after 11pm. Fun night!

We saw Tool. I mean how can that be bad? As far as staff goes, they were very helpful getting people to their correct seats and from what I saw very friendly. Id imagine its hard to stay in good spirits with that many people needing assistance. Pat down during entrance was professional yet thorough

We were pretty high up and still had a good view of the performers at the Hampton Jazz Fest, we will be back next year. Food and drinks are available for purchase, staff is very helpful. Only pain point is parking, there were no open spaces in the lot so we had to improvise, getting out was a nightmare.

This is one of the smaller places to see a famous show. The seats are ok, and the venue is relatively modern. I would like to see a concert here, as even the farthest seats arent nose bleed ones.

We have been to the Hampton Coliseum many time before. This instance we went for the Monster Jam Show. It was definitely a good time. I think the ventilation needs to be revisited as fans blowing were not enough to keep the exhaust at bay. The facilities were all in seemingly good order. I highly reccomend this Coliseum for your shows.

Always a good time at the mother ship, but, after the show ol Johnny law needs to simmer down a notch. Let people have their fun, yall make a ton of $ when shows like fish are in town. Venue employees also need take heed and respect the desires of the concert fan and patron, and allow that to be the golden standard.

Ive seen many concerts at this venue and its always been top notch service. May 10th of 2019 being the last time I was there to experience Tool live and as usual, it didnt disappoint.

Ma
Review №27

Exceeded expectations for Tool on 10/May/19. The acoustic performance was remarkable. This was one of the best sounding shows I have heard indoors and the climate control was well equipped to handle the 10000 or so occupants, very comfortable with good ingress and egress for the facility. Parking can be a challenge, especially afterwards as the venue is at the end of a street with limited exit options, but there are many hotels in walking distance so that can make the parking lot wait afterwards a non-issue. As far as the seating I would say based on the sound alone there is not a bad seat in the place - but consider the visual aspects of the show prior to ticketing.

Could not have asked for a better venue for Bass Center XII. Visually stunning, contracted security was so nice, lines were never too long, staff was so sweet and patient. The actual setup is easy to navigate and never feels crowded, so as a GA ticket holder who can move about the venue, we never felt like we were packed in a sardine can. Thank you, Coliseum! Can’t wait to come to more shows here ️

Gave 2 stars because all seats have a good view. You can tell its an older venue. Seating was a little confusing but the workers were very helpful and nice. However, this is not a good location for Monster Jam. I used to take my oldest son all the time when we live in Georgia. Was disappointed in the show here. The trucks didnt have enough room. Only 1 jump in the center. Couldnt hear what was being said. Very dusty. Way over priced for the show you get. Took our son for his birthday. Ended up leaving early. He got bored after awhile and hated the dust. Wouldnt mind attending other events here. But dont waste your time and money on Monster Jam.

Hampton Coliseum is okay. I went to see Disney on Ice there today. The show was pretty good, but not as nice as the show a few years back. I feel the Disney on Ice show I saw before had more skating entertainment while this year the road trip portion of the show was filler material. I could have done without the road trip portion and instead have more skating. You wont be disappointed, but it wont knock your socks off either.

The Hampton Coliseum is and has been a staple in Hampton Roads (more specifically, the Peninsula) for decades, and it is still holding on; providing a quality venue for many events. I and some family friends went to go see the professional bull riding and it was awesome! The only thing that kind of bothered me was that there were lots of P.E.T.A. people there and they were annoying. Every time is something new and not only event planners do the job, but Colosium staff as well ! One star goes down for not having Vending Mashines ! I understand each time different venue&event but you should be able to offer other solutions which are quicker&more afforable to get while in rush !

The Coliseum is a great place for entertainment. Ive seen plenty of concerts, circuses, and ice shows at this venue over the years, starting with Disney on Ice around 1984. Today was a first, as we went to Monster Jam! The staff at the Coliseum are always nice and helpful. They even walk you to your seat! The only reason I didnt give a five star revue is that the seats are a bit small. If you are a bigger person you might be uncomfortable. Other than that, this place is great!

Husbae and I went to the RBRM w/babyface and Next concert in October 2018. The concert was Awesome!! The Coliseum is very nice and the seating was better than most Ive been to. Just sitting next to someone on the floor level wasnt easy bcuz she was a bit thick. We pretty much shared my seat lol.. The parking rows can have better signs, so ull know what row ur in upon leaving the venue. For ppl who purchase floor seats should have discounted drinks/food. Overall, its a nice place to hold concerts. I will continue to attend the HC for future concerts.. 5☆

Went there recently for a graduation. One of the tackiest venues! No one knows anything. I needed handicap seating for my mother and no one knew where it was or how to get there. We eventually just anywhere where my mother very carefully maneuvered a couple of stairs. Train your people whether they are paid or volunteers!!!! Hopefully Jazz Festival attendees are too drunk and happy to care. No matter who is playing here I will not go back to Hampton Coliseum. It needs to be knocked down and completely redone! ***ADA- handicapped people please be advised there is no elevators. You will have wait around for a man on a golf cart outside (even in inclement weather) to come and pick you if you need to go upstairs. The one positive was the incredible attitude and hospitality of the golf cart driver. Make sure to keep him( Tall, mustache, AA male).

Great venue but missing one thing. Ive been here twice for two family events and have always had a good experience. In and out very quickly, good views from anywhere you sit, overall very satisfied. However, I have two young boys and the one thing this place is missing is low urinals. There are a lot of urinals but with my boys we have to wait to use the toilets because they are too short for the urinals. Simple fix in my opinion to make it a five star experience.

Very old “stadium”. I remember coming here back in 2005ish when I used to go to concerts. Sadly, since then the coliseum looks the same. There looks like to not have any renovations, the seats are old and uncomfortable, and to find your row, you have to look at the chalked floor. The numbers for your seats are written in a marker on the bottom of the seat. One thing I can say is, they have a great sound system.Hopefully they upgrade soon.
