Chappapeela is a great park. Visited for a Courtney Christian School event with my family. We enjoyed our time. The park was well kept.

Ive always liked Chappapeela since its development. I think its a rather large park, which is something we sorely needed around here. When there arent any games being hosted its a good place to go walking or jogging. Youll usually only see a handful or more people and is generally peaceful.

The staff and coaches are awesome. Camps and sports are priced well. We love this place.

The park is very nice and the fields are too. The biggest issue was parking! We literally had to park close to the entrance and we played in the back field. Get there early!

Beautiful sports park. Ive been here a half dozen times or so for my grandsons soccer games. The fields are nicely maintained and there is adequate parking. The traveling snowball stand is a nice touch,

I’m so glad that there’s finally a huge park that our children can play in and the grounds are ALWAYS kept up that and the facilities exceed expectations. I’m really glad they placed it where they did and everybody has an equal opportunity to play whatever sport the children wish to play.

This is a very clean and well organized sports complex. Other cities or towns should look here for a model to build there complexes or make some changes to be more like this place. Just a sports fan and parent of young athletes opinion!

Well maintained park with plenty of fields

This park is very nice and well kept. The concessions are a little pricey, but there is a good selection and the food is good and served fast. The parking is ample, but it fills up quickly when there are tournaments. Great play area and water area for kids. The fields are well kept and the walking path is also well maintained.

The park is great! But I STRONGLY disagree with the no outside food or drink policy. The taxpayers support this park. It was NEVER on a ballot to turn it into a for profit entity. There are many in this community that would find it a struggle to have to buy food or drinks at a premium during a long event. I think there should be some kind of compromise, not a mandate. Obviously some see this as a lucrative enterprise, but it was not brought to the people as such.

This place is great! I loved how huge the place was and even though I walked there during the winter it is still a very clean place. I wanted to find a park to walk through daily and I found it.I will certainly be visiting more often. I cannot wait to come here during the summer.

The parking is a nightmare for tournaments. You have so far to hike after parking. It seems like the parking could have been better designed. Also all the bleachers are not covered on all the fields. Very uncomfortable on metal bleachers in 95 degree temps in direct full sun! Otherwise nice park. Clean.

We are blessed to have this sportsplex and staff in our community. Ryan, Ernie, Taylor and Andrew helped us in welcoming 35 softball teams into the park and ensured their experience was above and beyond any other park experiences. We cannot wait to work with you all again and help grow the love of softball in our community! Thank you guys again for your great work ethic, facility management and warm atmosphere!

Wow! What a gem we have in Chappapeela. Hammond businesses, families and the entire community are blessed to have this valuable resource. I have enjoyed my visits there every single time. Ive attended CrossFit competitions there, used the running track for exercise and have spent fun times with my family there. I love Chappapeela!

I take my dogs here regularly. It is well-maintained, has public bathrooms, and a great place to get a good walk or bike ride in.

Good fishing. My daughter caught her first slab. The park is clean and well kept

Baseball fields are nicer than most in the area.Crews are eager to address issues with field conditions.Rarely a rainout here. They bust their butts to get fields ready after rain.

Very nice gym facility with adequate gravel parking, comfortable bleachers, concessions and clean bathrooms. Quick access to I-12 and one exit from the Hammond Square Mall.

This was a very clean facility. We came here for a Brazilian jiujitsu tournament from my daughters and it was very well kept.

Great facility, very well maintained. Has a wonderful splash pad, as well as soccer, football, and baseball fields.

The park is great always brought my kids and dogs here since they opened years ago but now theres a no pets sign and some guys almost ran me and my kids over in chuck wagon on the walking path in a blind curve there was no one in the office to even take my concerns im very disappointed love the park

This park has been a great facility over the past few years for us with travel baseball...usually its just parking issues. However, this past weekend Oct 2018....the restroom facilities were deplorable. Toilet seats hanging on 1 hinge, urine on all of seats requiring a major cleaning, stool and toilet paper on the floor left there for hours...rediculous. The volume of people paying Off the Chain Sports and Chappapeala to spend the weekend deserves highly monitored restrooms...escpecially considering theres only 1 such facility. Janitorial services should be in there every 1/2 to 1 hour to clean and restock.Restroom maintenance either sets you apart or you fall into the crowd of typical run down facilities.Chappapeala is headed in the wrong direction.If you dont agree, I have pics to prove it.

We were here for a lacrosse tournament and the facilities are excellent!

Grossly inadequate parking for tournaments or when multiple games are being played. Parking is not conveniently located in relationship to the fields. Very little shade anywhere in the complex, making the heat insufferable in the summer, especially when having to park near the entrance of the complex and walk to the farthest field at the rear.

I do enjoy the play grounds at this park and the nature sections near the splash pad. But this park is lacking in shade, trees, or bathrooms that are open.

Great Park. I use it only for walking, but it has soccer, baseball, football fields, a play ground, concession stand and a water play area.
