Hagerstown City Park an unexpected gem! Its magical precisely because its serene beauty pops up in the least likely of places. Even more surprising is the OUTSTANDING (MFA) Museum of Fine Arts at the heart of this location. Talk abput shocking! This is a MUST SEE place, especially in the year of the pandemic, a refreshing location becomes a balm for weary souls.

This was a beautiful park! There was plenty of wildlife, and it was relatively clean. There was enough room to walk, and it was well managed. As far as city parks go, this one is on the top of my list.

My family enjoys this park very much! We discovered it when my youngest was coming to dentist in the area. We rented a hotel close by just so we could get away and spend the day here! My kids could feed ducks all day..ok I could too multiple parks... beautiful pond areas...and shaded pathways.

Havent been to the park in decades. It was just as beautiful as I remembered. Thanks to the team that cares for it so well. You do an AMAZING job.

I went here for the first time for Mothers Day with 4 of my children and 2 of my grandsons. I have lived in western Maryland my entire life and had no idea the beauty of this park. It has several playgrounds, a huge pond filled with fish, a large variety of trees and waterfowls, picnic tables, grills, and a scenic walking trail. Highly recommend!

Nicely maintained, the park has playgrounds for children, a nice path for biking, and plenty of nice views along the way. Lots of water fowl use the lake. My family has made it a tradition to bring bird seeds (not bread!) to feed them, and have fun doing that. We occasionally bring our dog to the lake for a walk, but please look at the signs as there are parts of the path that are not for pets.

Beautiful city park, watch out for the goose poop. Many nice playgrounds and you can connect to the Hagerstown Cultural Trail which leads to downtown with some great coffee shops

Enjoy nature of the lake, wooded areas, the arts with various museums and real locomotives for the children. This was a very well thought of community area! Unlike anyplace Ive ever been.

Spent an hour with my daughter here, very nice view and she loves the ducks.

The best kept secret in Washington County. What a wonderful place to visit with friends and family. I have to admit, I love going to Hagerstown. Enjoy the experience.

My family loves the city park in Hagerstown. My wife purchased 2 ducks from tractor supply to walk around with us, we have a fantastic time. Thank you love forever.

Super cool find in Hagerstown! Great lake to walk all the way around, lots of ducks and fish to see. Plenty of shaded areas and places to sit. Awesome play equipment for kids including swings. And a great little concession stand with sweet treats (accepts cash and cards).

Very nice and clean and has things to do for people of all ages.

Havent been for a few years and it was such a great experience. Lots of play space the new play equipment was awesome and the kids loved the huge fish and feeding the ducks and geese!

I can usually count on this park for a great meet up place for new clients (yoga/massage & personal training) on nice days. Particularly the Mansion House Art deck, with beautiful views and so much space to exercise or just chat and get to know someone. Only downside are the bizarre characters you see on occasion that spook some of those less traveled. You have to be careful, just like anywhere else. Not all clients are comfortable meeting here on foot. This could be said for any public park, however. Just be aware of your surroundings.

Love going here its beautiful for pictures & we walk here. The wildlife is amazing. Very clean & love that they have put New playground for kids! My Granddaughter loves coming here when she comes to visit from Ohio!!!

Love the scenes here,ducks,birds, squirrel ️ etc.. and lots of bathrooms in summer is best,there is also a eatery.

Nice park. It was first time there and I enjoyed it. I also saw that a band plays on Sunday’s during the year.There is a lot of ducks at the park roaming around. I love animals so I do not mind.The park is fairly clean as well.I would recommend to come here for a walk in the evening.

Seems like a great city park, popped in to enjoy some takeout which was a great use of the space. Lots of folks about enjoying a lovely early fall evening.

Park is beautiful with multiple playgrounds and pavilions for use. Plus ducks and geese galore to feed. The only negative is the evening supervisor for the parks and rec dept. Extremely disrespectful. All the other workers Ive met are great though.

City park is a great place to go to get out and go walking. I go there almost every weekend to play Pokemon GO.

Absolutely beautiful, you can feed ducks there and there are a lot to feed! Theres also two playgrounds and a free admission art museum which is GORGEOUS. The place just has such a cool vibe I love it

The whole point of me going to park is not because I want to go to the park its because my children want to go to the park Im more of a hiking kind of guy but they like the park so we take them there and if they enjoyed it then I think other children would enjoy it as well

The only place where you can watch a fist fight at a gender reveal party, a hobo huff paint and a beautiful wedding party taking professional pictures done without leaving your seat.

I must say I really like this park, so much to do and keep the kids occupied. Coming from Charles county to visit my sister who lives here was a nice park to walk and catch up with my baby sister ️

Always a great place for the family. Something for everyone. Art museum, playgrounds, food, outdoor amphitheatre, the list goes on.

There are lots of reasons to go to a park, and this one covers all of mine: Peaceful, quiet areas to sit and read/think; Meandering paths for gentle walking; Numerous play areas for the kids; Large lake with ducks for the kids to feed; An art gallery; and apparently a place for weddings (didnt participate, but saw groomsmen scurrying about). The park is large enough that you can find a quiet spot somewhere. The stone walls add a nice rustic touch to the ambience.

I like going there to relax.. feed the ducks, swans, geese and fish. Its a nice place to hang out

Beautiful park. You may encounter some sketchy people, so be aware. But a such a pretty park with lots to do.

Hagerstown city park is still a great place for the family everyone is doing a good job of social distancing and yet enjoying being out and as always the ducks and fish are more than happy to let you feed them

Lovely park with large playground and trees and ice cream stand. Good place to go look at the geese/ducks/swans but aware that where there are geese there is goose poop (in separate area from the playground.)

Serene... beautiful scenery. Baby goslings, Swan, various breeds of ducks. Water clear could easily view the fish. Paths clearly mapped. It was a glorious day inA lovely park.

Love taking my kids their to feed the ducks, go hunting, and Pokemon hunting it gives us good quality time together....cause as they are getting older the more they want to get away from us....I just dont want them to grow up too fast!!!

This is my favorite place to go in Hagerstown. I love the water, either the ocean or a lake, it is all good. I am at peace in or near the water. So I guess I found my peaceful place

I love this park it is a beautiful place. However i wish the city took better care of it. They need to clean the water periodically. Which really wouldnt be such a big deal as it is fairly shallow. They should get a couple employees to put on some waders and give them some nets to scoop out the debri in the water. After a few weeks of doing this I believe the water would look much better. The other issue is they should move some of the carp fish to other locations in the county as there are way to many in the lake. The water fowl are a little over populated as well but not sure what can be done about that. So come on park director step it up and take better care of the little gem that the city is lucky to have. Take pride in yourself Hagerstown.

This is a very well maintained and much loved park in Hagerstown. Lots of room for the kids to roam and play. There are several jungle gyms and swings as well as pavilions and park benches. Youll find an admission free art museum and a train museum. You can buy food for the ducks and swans and spend some time walking along the waterways feeding them.

City park is good for you to visit with your family

I had a wonderful time sharing memories with my granddaughter Carmen she was 8 years old I used to take her to this park to ride her bike she had so much fun she is now 16 and didnt remember so we had a wonderful day creating new memories feeding the Ducks and swinging on the swings talking and laughing it was a wonderful day in the park looking at the waterfall and Gods beautiful creation trees the park was clean and kept up and it was free thats the best part

Well Hagerstown doesnt have like a lot of places or options for fun, it is a small town. Hagerstown city park is beautiful, peaceful, long a gem in the heart of the city. I loved the long walk around the whole park. You can go there for jogging, running, walking or just to enjoy the sunset, it is a nice view!

During the summer the Hagerstown City Park is nice and cool even on the hottest of days!

It was so peaceful this morning, most of the animals were still sleeping and all the morning glorious were still out!!, Just walking through the park enjoy cool morning and texting my daughter is all it takes to make me perfectly happy! Oh and a video of her beautiful daughter laughing her butt off!! !!!I couldnt ask for more! !

Beautiful place. Safe and clean and great for family outings, couples, or just a relaxing afternoon by yourself. Bird feed and other refreshments for sale at the concessions stand. Two art museums. Absolutely gorgeous... and FREE!

Park is clean. Decent place to reserve a private pavillion for an event, birthday party or perhaps a small gathering. They have BBQ grills also.

Its a nice park with nice attractions, such as an art museum, the Johnathan Hager house (the house of the founder of Hagerstown), a band shell that has music occasionally through the summer, two playgrounds, more than 3 ducks. The park itself is overall pretty nice and at times can be a beautiful place to sit and contemplate life or people watch.As long as you dont stumble upon homeless people having sex with each other and people selling and using drugs

This park is beautiful and one of the highest rated. No matter your age you can enjoy this park from the views of the lake to the many play areas for young children. There are quiet areas to sit on the rocks by the water or attend one of the events they have throughout the year. You can picnic with family or just stroll around the pathways and feed the waterfowl, small animals or fish in the lake. It is very clean and well maintained for all to enjoy.
