Wonderful place filled with books on every table, art on every wall, amd music from every corner. Food was amazing, drinks were just lovely, and the staff was wonderful.

I have eaten there twice and it has taken 45 minutes to an hour for them to bring us our food each time. I don’t think it should take that long to make four sandwiches. Both times there was maybe one or two other small groups of people, so they weren’t busy. Also the prices are very high for the area, and the quality. Once we got our food, we were never checked on again. We had to go find the waitress and ask for our checks, and water. It’s a wonderful atmosphere and I would like for them to thrive, but the wait time is unacceptable, and honestly so are the prices. If they want people to come back then they need to speed up the pace and get better service.

Love the ambiance. Great food, great music. The mocktales were fabulous. Had a great night with my wife. Great jazz, drinks appetizer, panini and blueberry cobbler plus a 20% tip for less than $65.Will definitely be going back on date night.

A very interesting place to have a bite and a drink. The prices are good. The music is soothing. They have a friendly staff. However, it would be better if they had more non-alcoholic drinks like juice, smoothies, etc.

Like the vibe of this place. Enjoyed the pianist and the roast beef and Bleu cheese salad, but didnt like the Arabian Twilight mocktail (not a lot of flavor). Place could use more wait staff. I only saw one waitress to cover the entire place and although she did her best, she could have used some help covering the room.

I really wanted to like this place. The ambiance is really great and I was hopeful... but it stopped there. The drinks are a bit convoluted and when I finally decided on something that seemed appetizing... it was not great. I didnt even order food because I was so turned off by the drink and the menu. My date and I just closed our tab after a drink and headed to another bar in Hagerstown. I think I summed this place up when telling my friend about it--Too hipster to function. But who knows this seems like an untapped market in our area.It just seems like it would work better in a town like Shepherdstown or Winchester or even Frederick. Maybe they could make the menu more accessible to the people that live here. Or make simpler drinks/dishes.

I feel like this place has good intentions but there is a lot to be improved on- specifically the service and food. Menu was brought right away, took a while for the server to come greet us. While she was very nice-we never got her name- it took us well over 35 minutes after our food came to even ask us if we wanted drinks (we had water but, still) I had to ask for napkins halfway through my food because they were never brought. My husbands greek wrap was literally a huge glob of mayonnaise and cucumbers and the spinach dip left a lot to be desired. The grilled cheese tasted charred and like it was done on a dirty press. Not worth the money if you ask me. The menu could be revamped- it’s all way too out there and nothing really jumps off the page to you as “oh that sounds like it would be good!”Also, at various times, mind you, this is a Saturday night, no less than 4 servers/hosts/bartenders were on their phones for extended periods of times while it was rather busy. This could be a great place for Hagerstown but it needs a lot of improvement before I see it getting to that point.

Not the best open mic... Thats to say the LEAST. Great place (if youre into a crowd that prefers 8 years of age and younger poetry/PG song). The food is way overpriced for the area. They have inexperienced kids working bar. My second time there, it was the kids first time working the bar. I tipped well and felt sorry for him, that, with what little capacity was there, that it was busy to him, especially with making drinks he knew NOTHING about. My drink felt over poured (and the liquor I asked for SPECIFICALLY was not what I received), I had told him the type twice as he grabbed the wrong bottle, which I get I guess... If youre running an establishment with hip and cool kids that arent trained on bar (or old enough to drink for that matter)... I felt poorly serviced with the actual juice it was supposed to come with... My dry martini was replaced with gin, which I do not stomach well (and specifically told the bartender). My honest review? Ive been there twice for their open mic on Thursdays and performed. Some cool guests/performances for sure. Its not bad... I guess. Just a warning they are VERY family oriented which is great if you want kids at a open mic night BAR Thursday nights 7PM to 8PM. One out of our soloist group was told this information in a NON pleasant way by a kid who could barely water it down enough to make it polite, yet alone serve drinks. Although we performed prior separate, and LOVED this place, apparently our poetry was just too much. We were not given any prior info on profanity, or language, even when asked AHEAD of time. Id much rather prefer the owner to come and talk separately with us after the performance, considering we have performed twice, and the one out of our group thrice, without receiving such word. If you want $13 salads, $10 cocktails, $15 meals (if you can even call it that, they are barely filling) in Hagerstown and amateur singing, this place is great. Will it last in the area? Sadly no. That is inevitable. $10+ cocktails/drinks and a happy hour barely anyone knows about (until you get there, really)? I dont think so. This place is word of mouth and has so much potential. Coming from such an area as Howard County, and travelling all across the US, this place just doesnt do it for me in my honest review, and I tried to like it. It was cute and small, but barely any seating as well (when the place was far from full). Sorry for the long comment but between the kids who just werent trained right, and the lack of disclaimer, Id have to give it a no.
