Nice little quiet bar. I usually go in the early afternoon hours, ( for a bloody Mary or 2) friendly staff, mostly regulars there when Im there. Clean restrooms.

If you blink, youd drive right past it, but Gilligans is a cool, dark respite from the slow Southern heat of south Mississippi. Very low brow and reserved, the crowd leans towards the Retired end of the spectrum. Super friendly staff, the manager even came and introduced himself to me, since he didnt recognize me. Theres home-cooked food available for patrons sometimes and live music other times. If you want to relax & unwind and youre okay with the scent of smoke lingering on your clothes, Gilligans is a comfortable spot to put up your feet and relax.

Violates the Americans with Disabilities Act concerning Service Animals. The owner tried to have me arrested for Trespassing, after I had gotten A bottle of water from the Bartender and gave her a $1 tip. Owner was drunk and insisted that my Service Dog had to leave the premises unless I showed her proof of my disability and Certified paperwork for Sir Buddy Shepherd. He had his red Service Dog Vest on, and was thirsty from the heat of the day. The Gulfport Police Department Officers informed the owner that she could not deny me access and that its not required to prove a disability or show proof of Service Dog Registration or Certification.Prepare yourself for a very unpleasant experience and atmosphere. I think it would be more pleasant if it was named Joeys Lounge. I have made my complaint with the ADA, and the ACLU which is governed by The U.S. Department of Justice.This establishment is under investigation for violating my ADA Rights. Litigation will come forth, and I will seek the maximum compensation allowed in U.S. District Court.

Love it! Nice place to go for a few drinks and a game or two of pool. I always had a great time!

Quiet and not too crowded. Bartender was nice older woman who was very quick to deliver a fresh drink. A little smokey but the ventilation pulled it towards the back of the room. If you dont smoke, sit by the front of the bar

Whoever criticised the bartender and manager, etc., perhaps that was merely over a year ago, but, on the other hand, looks like the reviewer is merely a buthead. So, I have been there lots, great, welcoming place, everyone is friendly and pleasant, and if you are going there to sing (Thurs-Sat usually nine-ish) you will find that it is a comfortable place and that the singers sing a variety of styles so whatever you like to sing, you will enjoy your visit there.
