Its a shame that this is the only rink left in this area. The West rink was huge when it was around! ( Now Im dating myself ) The price is getting steep and I am willing to bet the amount of business will show it soon. $15 is too much for a few hours of skating. Ive heard several parents make the same commitment. It was said that it was raised from $10 to cover security due to the issues with people causing problems but after two weeks, Ive seen no added security. To me, its price gouging now because there are very few places to go unlike years ago. I do agree that security is needed, as sad as it seems. Especially when an adult woman attacks a 12 year old kid. There isnt much the rink could do about that beforehand and I do know that she isnt allowed back, along with her child. It sickens me that this is the world we live in now!

Always great family fun!! They play skate games and great music of all kinds!! They offer private partys and bday partys.

Awful experience with a fight at this facility last night. The manager did nothing to solve the issue and was not professional. I do not feel safe leaving my children with a manager that does absolutely nothing to resolve a dangerous situation We will not be back

Average roller skate rink, not updated but still fine. Kids always have fun, they have different events/games at random times on the rink throughout the day. They have roller skates, roller blades, and toddler skates that fit over the shoe. Also rentals for a safety skating walker thing for smaller kids.

Very crowded. So many birthday parties. It did not leave much seating for the other parents. Atmosphere was pleasant. Music was good. I had to purchase high socks for my granddaughter out of a vending machine. It cost $3 for plain white socks. What a rip off!! At least before, it had skates embroidered on them.

We just left this skating rink. Think were the only family in the building when a fight broke out between two young girls. It didnt last long bc the staff was on it. Got the girls out of the building almost immediately I was impressed. I know that my children are safe when they come here and I enjoy your facility. Thank you.

First time there with family. Loved it. Only thing is there wasnt a place that i could sit sldown with my family. The booths are too narrow. Will take family there again

Fun for all ages. My kids 12, 9, 4yo and I all had a great time skating.

Calling the music selection mediocre would be an upgrade. All the music seems to be a 3 hours pre-recorded routine, no customization. Experienced skaters (Jam skaters/rhythm/etc) look elsewhere. All selections are current pop or country music which may just cater to the younger crowd. After all, I am in my 30s and Im used to real skate music (Houdini, Zapp, Parliament). Great for kids birthdays, just not anyone experienced really looking to skate.

Had a great time skating there. They play decent music and not outrageous. They also give b-day parties. Great place for people all ages

I am starting my granddaughters in skating lessons here. Ill update after weve been going awhile. So far, its a good price to let kids have some great fun.Update from Sept 2019: Take my granddaughters as often as they want to go. I started this as a way of getting them off their tablets and out of the house. It has worked great and isnt a big cost on the pocketbook. My youngest has finally graduated from the skatemate. Ive known she co you led do it for a couple months now. She finally realized it too. Proud grandma!

My wife paid $10 for a skating accessory that was apparently included with the birthday package. Upon attempting to get her money back after realizing this she was told that they could not refund her money but that they could give it to us in tokens or a gift card to be spent only at Skate America. Update to review on 12/6/19** I have submitted BBB Complaint ID #13974450 and it has been closed out due to no response from the company. They do not care about their image or their customers.

This place goes down hill with every visit. Games just falling appart, this building is just deteriorated. With a constant selection or outdated music and old dj recordings. It seemes like paint and carpet is the only investment the owner has made here i would recommend having birthday parties elsewhere. A warehouse with christmas litghts and ordering pizza is pretty much the equivalent if you have a blue tooth speaker and your own skates.

Its alright. You can have fun skating but the floors are slippery and they should be wood.

Skate America is one of those places that looks like it was built in the 70s or 80s and has just sort if degraded accordingly. The service isnt terrible (most of the staff appear to be teens) and the venue seems safe enough, but its nothing fancy.

Well, it was a regular good night for the kids until the irresponsible, disrespectful smart mouth kid running the DJ booth thought it would be cute to BLAST the music/noise to PUSH everyone out at the end of the school event skate. He claimed the manager told him to make it that loud to GET EVERYONE OUT. I asked to turn it down and failed to do so. He just decided to be a smart mouth about it. NOT COOL!!!!! As many times I have brought my kids to skate here, the noise has NEVER BEEN that loud at the end of the skate. Disrespect for your patrons. FIX THAT PROBLEM OR BE PREPARED TO PAY FOR MEDICAL BILLS FOR YOUR PATRONS HEARING VISITS BECAUSE YOU BLEW THEIR EAR DRUMS. Uncalled for altogether!!!!

Its fun and the food there is amazing but the prices need to be lowered and it would be great too if Monday-Thursday was not closed, sure its school days but maybe it would be good to open it. The staff arent really in the best of mood but thats understandable, but they really hate how people show affection, hugging, like come on! But over all great place to hang most of the time.

Had my 40th birthday party there with an 80s theme. They were so accommodating with the music, food, beverages and everything else. I had several friends asking how they can do this for their own party. Great place!

I went for a school fundraiser. The flyer said $3.50 admission. But it was like $8 for just the skates. You have to pay extra for EVERYTHING. My daughter is 5 and most of her little kindergarten friends had a walker thing to hold onto while they skate. The walkers were all over the rink. But they cost $5 to rent for 1 hour!!! It costed more to rent the pieces of white pipe with wheels on it than the skates themselves!Also they played a few games on the rink. And the winners got prizes. The girl rolling the giant die clearly CHOSE the winner by making the die land where she wanted it to.I expected more from a skating rink. I expected that 90s style fun with my kid and couldnt even skate with her because their prices were outrageous. It should not cost almost $15 for 1 person to skate for an hour.

This place is totally fun for a youngsters birthday party. They can skate, play arcade games so they can win tickets that can be exchanged for prizes. Theres a nice little snack bar to keep you fueled up for the adventure. The rental skates are well maintained. They have something similar to a Walker made from PVC pipe to help aid beginning skaters. Very, very nice.

I had the best birthday party for my daughter there last night! My server was so amazing! She made everything so much easier for me! I definately recommend this place. It is well worth the money

I recently went here with a friend and bought us both admission and skates but since he didnt know how to skate I asked for a refund. A lady then responded You need skates on or ill kick you out I then asked her whats admission for if I need skates to be in here? And she never answered my question and I had no more money to buy drinks or food so we just left. Thank you for that pleasant experience.

The music selection definitely needs improved. We were hoping for fun uplifting music to skate to, but it was slow, a lot of old (boring) music. My kids were bored :( I was unable to print coupon and they wouldn’t take my coupon bc it’s not printed.not worth $50!

My son was invited to a Saturday afternoon birthday party & we had a blast! Although there were several parties it wasnt crowded at all. The staff were so nice and the girl serving the party did literally everything! The pizza was really good too. It was a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon. My son hasnt really ever skated and the staff were so helpful now my son wants skate lessons, so we will be visiting again very soon. :)

It is a great place for familys.

Took kids for a skating party and they enjoyed the skating, daughter was so excited because she won (on her own) a 1000 tickets and used it to get an Alien basketball. They said we would have to put air in in...fine, no big deal we can do that. Tried to put air in it and it will not fill up because of a hole, I had to wait a week to call them because they were closed till Friday night. They told me no refunds or exchanges even with this being a bad ball so I have a very upset daughter.

Love coming here with my girls but there is always some kinda drama going on.

Everything about Skate America is great! We just had my daughters birthday party today. Kate did an amazing job taking care of us.Their prices are reasonable. Their pizza is really good and made to order. Safety is a big priority for them. Unfortunately we saw a girl fall and get pretty banged up. The staff immediately cleared the floor and rushed in to help.

Not a terrible place but not very clean either and the staff could be better trained. They are young and are not very reasonable when kids stop at a table to talk to their parents to share what happened on the floor. They claimed they had to keep them off the wall for the other kids using the wall but there was none on the wall at the time. It would be reasonable if there were kids using the wall for balance but that was not the case, it appeared that they just wanted to show their authority.The major concern was blood on the skate floor. I notified the young staff member and showed him where it was and he rolled over it with his skate and said it is dry it it ok. This should have been dealt with quickly not ignored. This shows the lack of training and maturity of the staff.

Good place, kids love it. Could use a little modernizing like a hardwood floor. The roof leaks a bit too so there were some trash cans in the rink after a heavy snow.

Im so frustrated because my son wants a Skating party for his birthday and Ive tried calling numerous (10+) times, no answer!! Ive tried reserving his party online and when it asks me to enter the code below, nothing! No code shows up!! Its really frustrating, didnt think planning a party here would be so difficult

Great place for the kids (and actually adults too) to get some exercise and have fun.Fairly large oval rink with neat lighting effects and dj station for changing up the music or hosting fun games.Small selection of arcade and games of skill.Skate or roller blade rentals are available.Place is a bit dated, but still clean and fairly well kept.Can get food and drinks here and they will host Birthday parties as well.They hold classes here for kids to learn to skate. You can purchase skates through that class.They sell skates to general public as well.

Been coming here for years to celebrate birthdays... Used to waiting in lines etc. Not used to 20 minute wait for nachos and soda. One guy working the food counter going snails pace... Other than that, kids had a blast and everyone enjoyed themselves and the workers were extremely nice.

What a great family friendly environment. The staff are exceptional, always willing to go the extra mile. This is definitely an older building, but you can see that improvements are being made every week. The owner is very friendly & the prices cant be beat!

We went with the school for a fundraising event. There was a long line to get in but the young lady at the door was very friendly and helpful as was the rest of the staff I interacted with for various things throughout the time we were there. I would definitely recommend Skate America for a family outing.

My daughter had a blast. Small arcade on site as well. Food was Ok, but I didnt expect gourmet from a skating rink. Nice place to get the kids out of the house in the winter.

My child won a free party. Unfortunately I lost the orange paper coupon. Since management doesnt keep track of who they give free parties too, I had to pay for the free party because I was told I was try to scam a free party from the less than friendly or understanding management. We wont be back.

Very dirty floors on and off the rink. My kids had on brand new skates they got from Christmas never used and from one skate session here I was horrified on how dirty their skates and bearings where. Same goes with their rental skates. The bearings and wheels are so filthy. Other then them needing to clean up their act I love the low price days they offer and their beat the clock deals. The music selection does need improving and the games they play on the rink.

My girlfriend invited me out here one night. I had fun. The music selection was pretty good. Id probably give it a 5 star, but I feel on my butt so many times. I guess thats not skate americas fault, but my clumsiness. Id recommend this place for something different and fun to do.

VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!!Well I have to say, this place is very small. And disorganized ,crowed, and we got to the rink opened at 1:30 and got in to where our tables where at, which was just steps away from snack bar, so we ordered pizza once we got there (1:45) and FINALLY got our pizza around 3:30, with hungry kids this was very disappointing we complained several times and all they said well our pizza oven is down (need to have a back-up plan) all they did was give an extra pizza for the enconvience.Place was very packed, I wish I would have did more research on this rink, NO PARTY ROOM, it was all opened.Over all we paid $149 for 1:30-4 which was crazy!!!! My advice do research if you plan to go to the skate rink. Next time we will go to either 71 skate or even refugee Location.THEY DIDNT EVEN TO OFFER US A SMALL REFUND FOR THE LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE. I do understand that most of the employees where teenagers but the manger should have done something.WILL NOT BE BACK. !!!

Skate America is a great place to hangout with ur friends that’s staff are lowkey nice and helpful I mean they can seem like they’re in a bad mood sometimes but if I worked there and had to deal with little kids all day I wouldn’t be in the greatest mood either and their slushes are super good aswell as the pizza and I love their soft pretzels also I like how the do the different themes at different times and they have good music like it’s our teen songs it’s dope but anyway and the colors and the games and when they have roo come out it doesn’t really make me super happy bc I ain’t no little kid but it is pretty cute to see the little kids ride around with him like I when to my cousin bubbas birthday party and they had it there bc he’s taking skating lessons there and he turned 5 so wanted to have it there and he’s got a bunch of little kid friends like his age and they just loved it also the rink and stuff is all a little small but I’ve still always liked it like me and my friends and stuff have been going there for like 8 years probably it’s madd fun and I really like it and they stuff to get for tickets is also really kool to be able to get but I think they should lowkey lower some of the pricesThanks kiddos see u tonight skate America

Nice place for your kids to enjoy themselves. But it gets crowded really quick.

Ordered 3 diet pepsis and 1 regular Pepsi. When asked which one was the regular Pepsi, the girl said it was one of them. I have to guess which is which? The mozarella sticks we ordered were half-cooked and gross. Had to send them through the oven a second time. They brought our pizza out and it was not even cut into slices. Seriously? They didnt even bring our pitcher of soda to us...had to ask for it. They seriously messed up every opportunity to redeem themselves. Even the music was vulgar with nearly every other song including lyrics about drug use, sex and criminal activity....definitely not appropriate for 3 white children aged 4, 6 and 11.

Hands down this place is horrible, the management obviously doesnt have children because the way he treated my son was inappropriate. I wish I could leave them zero stars. We will never return here and Ill make sure to tell everyone I know about our experience.
