I visited this museum six years ago. I called the owner Bill Dunn ahead of time and wound up spending the whole afternoon there. I had the most enjoyable time listening to stories about Doc from Bill, who incidentally is a cousin of this famous Georgian. I hope that if Bill retires he will pass this museum on to someone that loves Doc as much as we do. Admission to the museum is free but a donation is appreciated.
I spoke to the owner and the museum is in need of a new roof. Mr Bill Dunn is 75 years of age and is trying to decide if it is time to retire. There is someone interested in the items in the museum and they may move them, if I understood correctly. I really wish I had the money to keep this museum going. We have already lost so much of our history.
