Such a cute park!!!!!!Every trail has something special / different even though it’s all looped together. We completed the white Sulfur trail which was 3.5 miles. It was very very easy except a small portion which required some extra attention to footing. Loved following the stream, sitting at the lake, and viewing the dam and waterfalls!Highly recommend and will be back!!TIP - We arrived at 10:00 and the parking lots deeper into the park we’re already full. I would highly suggest arriving sooner!

Love coming here for hikes and some of the trails are challenging.Make sure you look into the trail distances, routes and difficulties and bring plenty of hydration.Beautiful, scenic trails with plenty of neat elevation paths that cut through and around Paris Mountain. If you enjoy it and plan on repeated trips I highly recommend the season park pass which will pay for itself quickly.

Super family friendly. Our young ones (4 of them) effortlessly hiked around the scenic lake. Close proximity to Greenville makes it a great choice for an evening stroll. But no real elevation in the landscape so dont expect grand views of the city or other mountains.

Admission price to the park is $6.00 per adult. We were there only to go hiking. We went on the Sulphur Trail and it was very strenuous. Although the trail was hard at first, we had a blast and enjoyed the beautiful scenery, especially the waterfall and creeks !! The park was clean and the staff was very friendly. Definitely plan on visiting the park again!! Seen a couple of turtles too.

Weve stayed at our fair share of state parks - camping is what we do for vacations - & this one has the cleanest, nicest restrooms weve seen yet.Not a lot of sites, & theyre packed together as usual, but it has a nice little set of trails - the main trail has a small waterfall over a dam thats pretty kool... you do have to drive to the trail parking from the campsites, but its only a couple mins - same road as campground access, you pass the trails, picnic, & Ranger station parking area on your way in to your site. Will visit again.

Beautiful State park. It stayed busy all weekend but we still had fun camping, walking the trails, sitting by the campfire, checking out the park center and some of the historical stuff. Was disappointed that the boats were not available for use and privately owned boats are not allowed. This was stated on the website. Maybe next time. Campground is very nice and clean. Roads and sites are paved but not many sites are level. Roads coming into the campground and park are somewhat narrow especially with it being as busy as it was. Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable of the park. Park even provides firewood for a donation. It was nice wood split into good size chunks for a campfire.

One of my best hikes... Lake Placid is pretty. It also has a dam that you can walk up to, a great photo op. There is a historic bridge by the lake that was interesting to learn about. We took the Lake Placid Trail to Mountain Creek Trail and looped back around onto Turtle Trail and to Lake Placid to get a longer hike. The trails are very well marked, and clean. My girls (i.e. pups) had a great time hiking this trail, and I really enjoyed the scenery. Look out for the cyclists on the Mountain Creek Trail... they zoomed by very fast. Admission to the park is per person = Adult $6, Ages 6-15 $3.50, under 5 is free and SC Seniors $3.75. This park is very dogfriendly, and everyone I encountered during my hike was very friendly. There is a restroom located near the historic bridge.

We live 5 miles away and go here in our RV at least one weekend a month. It’s quiet, shady, bathrooms are very clean, nice place to walk your dog and ride a bicycle, and it’s very pet friendly. We absolutely love our home away from home. Highly recommend. We could go further- but why?!? Everything we love is here.

Nice but not particularly well kept restrooms. Acorns and branches kept falling on the picnic table while youre eating, and on the roof of your camper, keeping you up most of the night. The rangers do not really under the campers policies and dont apply them uniformly. Bottom line, there are a lot of nicer campgrounds.

It was beautiful, really beautiful but there was a lack of signage for where a trail-head is located. I ended up having to ask a ranger and even then I got lost because of signage issues, pleasantly so though! The rangers are really helpful and go out of their way to assist. Despite problems I would definitely go back. Theres a lot you can do (swim, picnic, camp, hike) and I only got to one of them!

Be aware that the ADA site is Not ADA compliant. The site is not level due to heavy damage by existing tree roots with no wheelchair accessible ramp to the bathhouse. Almost impossible to get to the restrooms or bathhouse unless you have a very strong caregiver or in good Walking condition Nope not even with a walker could you access the campsite facilities! The Park does not tell you this prior to arrival so be aware of this prior to reservations. The RV sites are mostly unlevel and in serious need of repair/ updates. This is a shame due to the beauty of the Park. I was told lack of funding was and still is the problem. Also be aware there are No trash containers at the campsite area. You have to take it with you to a spot located in a parking lot across from the Park office on the way out. I was told it was due to bears, but have stayed in bear locations that have the Bear protective trash cans/Dumpsters at least at the dump site closer to the campground. Too ignore this action leads to the overflow of trash in the bathhouses. On a positive note..this is a beautiful Park with the trails and wildlife and forestry. Its a shame local and State leaders havent stepped up to allow this gemstone to truly shine for Greenville County and the State as a whole.

The single most poorly managed of any state park Ive been to. The park staff were condescending and arrogant. I asked asked the gate ranger a question and she tried to belittle me over it. Unprofessional. Its a massive park with EXTREMELY limited parking. I entered with 3 bikes in plain view of the gate ranger, and was later told by another visitor, after biking for 2 hrs, that bikes arent permitted on Saturday.

Trail is marked well with signage throughout. The trail itself is laden with roots and rocks. Parts of the trail are technical and steep. Other parts of the trail make for a great place to catch a nice stride. The trail also offers a fair amount of shade. Make sure you are hydrated and get after it!

This is the closest State Park to Greenville. (city) Great place to go hike, camp, swim, fish, paddle boat, ect! Great place to spend a weekend or close enough to go and spend a afternoon after work! Trails aren’t too strenuous and range from 3/4 mile or you can combine some for longer hike up to 10+miles! Most trails are bike accessible Monday-Thursday. 3 lakes 2 you can park pretty close to and the third is a couple mile hike. Fishing rules are posted! There are plenty of picnic tables and grills and shelters if you are having a large event. The camping are is nice. There are around 40 sites and they have electric and water. Some are pull thru and others cave tent pads! All site are not far from the rear rooms. From personal experience you go pick a site that is not spoken for on the board they have then go back to the store to check in. So yes they have a store and information center where you can find out almost anything you need to know! Also the website is a good source of information! Get outside check it out something to do for everyone! have fun!

Moved to SC a few months ago and immediately bought a state park pass (Worth it if you plan on going 10 times in a year. Otherwise its $5 to enter the park). Paris Mtn., being so close to Greenville, was the first stop. Theres a beautiful lake and several hiking trails. Generally low traffic on the trails when Ive been on weekdays. Sulfur Springs is a quick climb up if going clockwise, which I prefer, and follows along a creek and takes you by a neat dam. Have hiked all but Mountain Creek Trail. Highly recommend walking around North Lake, an easy hike but adds quite a bit of time to overall hike.

(One of) the best mountain biking destinations in the upstate, but y’all really gotta consider being open to us bikers on Saturday. For most people, including myself, that’s literally the only day of the week that we can ride. My only other option is to wait for summer when I can go out during the week. All things considered, the trails here are well maintained and easy to navigate. Restrictions on mountain bikers during the weekend is just no good though.
