Working with Dow Oaks Events was amazing! Our DJ Ryan was very professional, extremely nice, and super easy to work with! He kept a positive attitude when we had to make a couple last minute changes! The owner was also amazing to work with, he was very responsive and answered all the questions I had! I will definitely be contacting them for any future events and I suggest yall should too! If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

We absolutely loved our experience working with Dow Oaks for our wedding! We booked them for our ceremony and reception. We worked with Mason and he was awesome! Our music requests consisted of Spanish, Country, Pop, old and new. Mason really hit the mark making sure it was all played and that the flow didn’t feel awkward! My husband and I did a lot of dancing and our guests had a great time, we got a lot of compliments!We loved that Mason scheduled meetings with us to discuss the music we liked and what we wanted to hear. It was also helpful that their website had song suggestions for First Dance, mother/father dances, bouquets toss songs, cake cutting songs, etc. Which was extremely helpful since those details can get overwhelming.Mason also accommodated our last minute song requests and didn’t make us feel bad about it at all! He just made it happen and we really appreciated that! All in all, we 100% recommend that you use Dow Oaks!

From start to finish, these guys were amazing to work with. We had to reschedule as a result of COVID and they were more than accommodating to our needs. We ended up working with Graham Blossom who was extremely responsive during this whole process and did not hesitate to jump on the phone with us to iron out our plans. Our experience with Dow Oak was wonderful from start to finish! I chose them after connecting with them at a wedding show and deciding that their packages were a great value! However, the more I worked with them in planning our wedding, the more I enjoyed them! They were responsive, flexible, and helpful at every turn, even as our plans evolved due to Covid. The most important thing at a wedding is the food and the DJ. The food amazing, the DJ subpar. He was inexperienced which is why they are less expensive. All of the music, which had taken me hours to think of and write down didn’t save and instead of someone saying hey there’s only 5 songs on here is this what you wanted I didn’t know about any of this until the day of my wedding just as the party was supposed to make their entrance. He said he downloaded the top 40 and it was all older music. The majority was Spanish music which isn’t what I wanted. I was very unhappy with the dancing. It was about a month ago and I still feel extreme disappointment over it. They have a lot of great reviews but I wanted to share my experience in the hopes that when something like that happens in the future they make all attempts to ask the bride and groom if this is correct.

By far one of the easiest Vendors to work with during these crazy crazy times. They actually reached out first to let us know that if we needed to postpone due to COVID, what our options were! Even though we did have to postpone, they rescheduled our date with no fees or loss of our deposit. Not to mention they got back to us crazy fast when we emailed to let them know we needed to postpone. They truly put my mind at ease which is all a bride can ask for in these times. I cant wait to work with them on our new date!

Every person at Doak oak we spoke with with so helpful and kinda (Erik, Henry, Kam.)This DJ service was recommended to us by our venue and we were so pleased. the questionnaires before the wedding day are so specific and guided it helped make sure we werent missing anything or hadnt completely forgotten about something we wanted. Kam was our DJ at the wedding and I cannot say enough wonderful things. She made things go so smoothly and her communication was excellent. (Plus she saves me from a hair disaster when removing my veil! LOL)

Erik has been a huge help with the scheduling and now RE-scheduling of our wedding. The team has been so kind in these crazy times and so professional! Its been a breathe of fresh air!

My Fiancee and I had planned to get married in October of this year, but due to concerns around COVID 19, we rescheduled to June 2021. While we have not had the pleasure of working with Dow Oak yet for our wedding, the team was so helpful. We originally scheduled our wedding for 10/10/2020. We had to postpone due to the pandemic going on and having so many family and friends traveling, without much promise of the restrictions being lifted in time. I started working with Dow Oaks since wedding planning 2019 and due to C19, we have had to reschedule TWICE already! They are so nice and we are looking forward to finally work with them in 2021!

I am editing my review as they have decided to refund the money. I appreciate that they found it within themselves to get this resolved. I don’t think it should have come to getting poor reviews - but at least they did what was right in the end. I will absolutely let my friends and family know that they will do right by the customer.Horrible customer service. They will refuse to refund your money even if they are unable to fulfill their contractual obligations. Now the bride to be has to cancel her wedding and is out $1500. The total amount wasn’t even due until mid April and she wanted to make sure everything was taken care of early.. they won’t even refund the part that wasn’t due yet. If I could give 0 stars I would. It would be socially irresponsible not to warn people about the type of business Dow Oak is.

Mason of Dow Oak Events did the music for my ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Any concerns I had, Mason was there to assist and alleviate any pressure. About 15 minutes before our first dance I had concerns that it was way too long of a song and he said it wasnt a problem at all - so we shortened it on the fly! Bradley was a dream to work with for our wedding. He made himself available leading up to the wedding and made sure he was prepared to deliver what we wanted on the day of to put our minds at ease. His setup was perfect. He seemed to perfectly capture the energy of the event and the music he played showed. It turned into a heck of a dance party after dinner! Dont think twice, just book them!

I have personally worked with Dow Oak Events and I knew I had to have them at my own wedding. The ceremony and reception were flawless. Everything transitioned nicely. Erik even went out of his way to make sure I had the exact (cover) song for us to walk down the aisle. They were on time and played all the right songs. Wonderful job and good company.

Henry was a true professional for our wedding. The ceremony had to get underway ahead of the planned time due to rain, but the playlist was executed perfectly. Additionally, during the 8 months or so that we had DJ Henry booked, he was super responsive and would meet with us whenever we asked. Freddie was awesome! We were supposed to have a different DJ from Dow Oak but something came up and Freddie was the replacement. We were worried at first but after talking to Freddie on the phone, we knew he would be good. He seemed very organized and did a good job of getting/keeping the party going. After the wedding, everyone was telling us how much fun they had and Freddie was a big part of that.

Dow Oak Events is the way to go! Out of all the vendors that I worked with for my wedding, they were the most responsive and flexible. Graham was so great, he kept the party going all night long! What a great group of people! Graham drove all the way to Raleigh and was set up earlier than expected and even started the music early. We were so thrilled!

Wish I could give them 10 out of 5 stars!! Caleb was soo professional and easy to work with. From the first time we talked to him we knew he would be a perfect fit. My fiancé and I hired Graham from Dow Oak and we weren’t satisfied when it came to the dancing portion of the night. It may have been our fault selecting DJs pick, but he said he would pick up on he crowd’s feel. Many of my guests did song requests to get the night going and none of them were played. I had to tell Graham myself to speed up the songs and choose upbeat songs to get the crowded hyped but hyped songs were then mixed with slow songs which threw off the crowd. Another thing I wasn’t happy about is that the wrong version of my aisle song was played. I put a lot of time finding a specific version because it was special to my fiancé and I. If you do choose Dow Oak, I recommend that you set up your own playlist without a doubt.

We had DJ Ryan for our wedding and he did a phenomenal job leading up to our wedding and on the actual wedding day. He answered all of our questions during the two pre-wedding calls that we had with him and knew all of the key moments in our schedule for the day. Ryan arrived on time to the venue and was able to transition quickly from our ceremony site to our reception location. He also wonderfully balanced confirming scheduled moments with us while also giving us space to enjoy the event and not feel like we were rushed or had to be on point throughout the day.The music was great - he did an amazing job catering to an audience with very different age ranges and tastes in music. One of our guests requested the chicken dance for our two nieces and we were worried it would fall flat with no one on the dance floor, but we were pleasantly surprised to see that most adults were having fun with it and it didnt seem like the song came out of nowhere. The music for the ceremony was also perfect and the two songs that we used for the processional transitioned seamlessly.Ryan also answered all of our emails promptly and we never felt like we were left with unanswered questions. This made us feel confident that he would be on time for our event and that everything would go smoothly.Ryan and his assistant were both really professional during the event. The set-up looked good and the dance floor lights were positioned at the right spots on the dance floor. Ryan also had a detailed list of our day and all of our music was played correctly and at the right times. We also had a semi-outdoor wedding in the countryside, which meant that there were bugs. Despite some of them flying around him while he was working, he handled everything professionally.We had a few last minute changes during the reception and Ryan handled everything smoothly. After we did our couples entrance, we forgot to go straight into the cake cutting and Ryan came up to us immediately to remind us. We appreciated having him keep tabs in the schedule for the evening because there was so much going on and it was nice to know that someone would be there to help us.For the cost of our package, we were very satisfied with the service and audio quality for our wedding. We could not have asked for anything more! Would highly recommend Dow Oak Events.

I had Dow Oaks Events for my wedding on December 6th 2019. They were hired for my photo booth. It was not an ideal situation. The attendant was an hour late to my event. The excuse was “their was a parade going on so he was locked outside and parking was difficult.” In my opinion that is still unacceptable. Erik assured me they have done weddings at my venue before so you would think being locked out of the entrance would have been known because for every wedding they lock off the street entrance for safety reasons. Second issue I had with them was I requested way in advanced 4x6 photo prints instead of the normal 2x6 strips. He assured me that would be no problem. Of course My guest were given 2x6 strips and when asked if they could reprint them he said no. Thirdly the printer stopped working midway through the night. It did eventually start back working but it was just one thing after another which was unfortunate. I personally don’t recommend them because when asked for financial compensation for these things happening I was told “I don’t see any reason to do that” when the attendant was late your printer stopped working and you literally gave the wrong picture size! I was not looking for a full refund but I did think with all the things at hand some form of restoration should have been had financially. I paid a lot of money for this photo booth and a lot of things went wrong on their end. He did offer a mosaic digital photo of all our pictures which I did not want.***In the owners response he is blatantly lying about saying we talked about a picture upgrade or anything of that sort I have emails to prove he knew about it and never said there was an up charge. Please look at Facebook review for pictures of emails. ***

Our experience with Henry was great! He gauged the crowd very well and kept our preferences in mind, even with the hounding of some of my guests. The music was so on par, in fact, that the announcements of the bridal part had an impromptu Rocketman breakout before they started! It was one of the best parts of the night and I really enjoyed having him as my DJ.

I used Dow Oak as my DJ and for my photo booth and I would do it all again 1,000%. They were awesome! Freddie met with me in advance to get a feel for the vibe of the wedding, and then showed up at the ceremony and NAILED IT! The music was exactly what I love to listen to and we had folks getting down! They were there hours in advance and set-up and ready to go. Everyone loved the photo booth, and I loved that they brought all their stuff (table included) and that I got copies of everything in a photo book. They also emailed me electronic versions of the photos within days. Use them! The value, the experience, the fun, it was all there!

Kameron makes sure her number one job is that you are happy and not stressed, hiring her was the best decision we made! The photo booth had great lighting and was a huge hit. We had Kameron from Dow Oak Events as our DJ. We could not have had a better experience!! The communication prior to our wedding was nothing short of the best, it was obvious she genuinely cared and wanted everything to be perfect.

DJ Erik is the best! He saved the reception! We had lost our original venue due to hurricane Florence and the reception ended up not being exactly what I as the bride had envisioned. With his positive energy and “we’re going to make this work” attitude he made the dance party part of the wedding the best I’ve ever seen! I highly reccomend this DJ company and if you get the chance, ask for Erik!! He’s wonderful to work with!

DJ Erik was incredible to work with! I knew my wedding would be a tough one trying to blend Arabic and English but he did it so well! My dad, one of the toughest critics I know, was so impressed with how well Erik would flowed back and forth between the two languages! People were dancing the whole night!

Hiring Dow Oak Events is one of the best decisions you can make for you wedding (or any other event needs)! The DJ for my wedding was Erik and I could not be happier with how my wedding turned out! Every time I spoke to someone, they were telling me how awesome the DJ was and they werent lying! He made the planning aspect easy and was always quick to respond to questions. We spoke over the phone to confirm everything before the wedding and then the day of I didnt have to worry about a thing! He kept people on the dance floor and I was really disappointed when he got on the mic and told people this was going to be the next to last song because I didnt want the reception to end!

Erik from Dow Oak Events did an amazing job at our Wedding! Highly recommend using them! He made the whole experience super easy and the online portal was a great planning tool. One of my biggest worries was that guests wouldnt be dancing but he made sure they were on the dance floor the whole time! He also knew what songs to play to get all different age groups out there. He kept the timeline going smoothly after our planner left and the prices were great too. I cant say enough great things about Erik and Dow Oak events! You definitely wont regret hiring them!

To say that Ryan did a great job is an understatement. Ryan literally saved our wedding day! We hired a violinist to cover the ceremony and cocktail hour. Well 5 minutes before we are about to head out we got the worst news anybody could get on there wedding day. The violinist never showed up and when we call her she says OMG its Saturday?. Just as the panic started to set in Ryan shows up early! We told him our situation and he takes down our songs for the ceremony and says give me 15 minutes. 15 minutes later we head out and it was the perfect ceremony! He did a great playlist for cocktail hour as well. We were all so impressed by how smoothly everything went given the amount of pressure and that Ryan had no time to prepare for this. The reception was amazing and Ryan played the perfect song at the perfect times. There is no way we could thank Dow Oak Events more for what they did. They saved our wedding day from being a catastrophic mess!

Simply amazing group of guys right here! Freddie DJed our wedding on 11/03/18 and I seriously cant say enough good things about him! Both must husband and I felt like he just got us! Very professional, friendly group of people who are very are very responsive and accommodating! Freddie kept the party going til the end!

We hired dow oak on short notice (whoops) but luckily they were available and let me just say.. our dj Bradley was incredible. He listened to our song requests and made the entire day so enjoyable. I am so glad we went with dow oak. Talk about a party!

We had someone from this company that was not Erik and its hard to describe how unprofessional he was. He embarrassed us in front of all our guests (being visibly unhappy, having long breaks in the music while all the guests just stood around, asking the bride questions instead of our day of coordinator, complaining about the bride to the bar tender in front of wedding guests). We got a little money back, but it still makes me so sad. Unfortunately a small, partial refund can never undue the damage because you only get one wedding day.

160+ people at the wedding. 5-7 on the floor at any given time. We gave them requests, non were played. Pretty poor music all around. They were dancing more than the guests themselves.

We paid a TON of money for a dj who screwed up our music 1. During the ceremony for my wifes entrance . 2. The lapel mics didnt work during the ceremony 3. Our entrance song said the F word uncensored in front of all our family, friends, and children which we had specifically asked the song to be censored and were assured it would be 4. Our must play songs were not played and instead the dj played what he wanted until we complained 5. Our cake cutting song was played during the wrong time and threw the whole thing off. 6. There were moments of complete and total utter silence.We were extremely unhappy with this vendor and would never in a million years hire him again. This was the only vendor we hired that we regret. Such a waste of money and so upsetting for our wedding day. Dont know how this company is highly rated. A joke. Also the companys website is garbage and not user friendly at all. All around disappointing experience to say the least.
