What a beautiful place to visit. The falls are right at the beginning, so if you just want to view them, you dont have to do much walking. We spent about two hours on the trails. Took in as much as we could. Crossed the water a couple times (bring waterproof shoes with good traction), and went up and down quite a few times. There are a lot of very loose rocks, so be careful. Many great picture opportunities, but you need to be sure-footed here. It would be helpful if they added some steps and a couple bridges.Definitely worth visiting!

This park is one of my favorite places in the area. There are definitely a lot of cool things to see here including some smaller falls downstream, and a natural bridge! The new viewing deck and larger parking area are definitely a plus. Also please help and put a few bucks in the donation box to help keep this beautiful place available for years to come.

It is a very beautiful place better in spring right after the snow melt cause then the waterfall will have water but still beautiful.

If you want the waterfall, better to try in the spring. Its actually a lot of fun to explore the bed when its dry though. We went in the fall. You can actually hike both in and around where the water would normally run through the terrain and there are some neat rock formations along the way.

#ExploreYourBackyard Hidden gem in Green Bay area. Nice water falls and had a trail. It has limited parking lot around 20-25 cars only. On weekends you will see cars waiting for parking spot. Tip: There are no near by parking lots to park and walk.Wait for couple of minutes and sure you get one.

Great scene to check out, especially when the water is high and flowing. Some walking easy walking trails along the creek bed and a waterfall usually. FRIENDLY pets allowed on leash, I say friendly because people bring their kids and family members here as well as its on a persons land.

Beautiful this place is strongly impacted by the water table the dry spell we are in made the falls non existent but we will be going to come back in the fall after we get some rain. There is a viewing deck for handicap folks but if are looking to go down into the falls need to be able to climb.

A great place to take a hike, the trails can be a little rugged but the scenery is well worth it, and if you hit it after a lot of rain or early in the year you can check out a nice waterfall as well

Did this hike August 20th and walked up and down the dried out river, not a drop of water on the water fall but it was gorgeous regardless. Later looking at pictures online I was surprised to see there was actually a river here at some point! As for the trails, unless I missed something, there really arent any? Not anything long anyways. We followed one (which was very vague, see photo attached to see how we wandered!) until it basically led us to private land. I know this is meant to be kept wild but a few signs explaining the trail (or lack there of) would have been appreciated! I was surprised to see reviews saying its child/stroller friendly. Unless you are just going to see the waterfall, I would not bring a small child here to hike. I kept thinking how glad I was not to have brought my 4 year old. I could totally see 8, 9, 10+ year olds loving this however! Just keep away from the ledges.. I really wanted to learn more of the history of the area, but couldnt find anything online. Pleasantly surprised to not encounter many nats or mosquitos!

A favorite of mine. Great little nature getaway a stones throw from GB. The river, falls, glen, and old quarry make for a great afternoon hike which I tend to folow up with Zestys ice cream. There is a new viewing platform that is wheelchair accessible but beyond that is moderate trials. There doesnt seem to be any official trials. Which is part of the allure. Just going out and climbing around the established trials of previous explores.

Not much water when I was there. There is a gate that doesn’t open till 8am. I was there much earlier and had to wait. It’s a pretty area. The trail was ok even though there were a lot of signs saying it was unmaintained.Facebook: ZenAdventuresInstagram: AdventuresZen

This is by far the greatest park weve been to in the area! Beautiful trails and you get to go and sit underneath the waterfall! There was some climbing up and down and I would recommend keeping your shoes on even though theyll get wet, but I did it with a toddler only back so not too terrible of a climb and walk. Well be going back for sure!

A nice hidden gem to a lot of people. Some hiking trails and great waterfall views. The waterfall isnt a long walk either, which is nice for those who arent able to walk long distances. As you can see, French bulldogs approve too! My only negative would be the parking situation, which is probably only about 20 - 30 spots. People were fighting (figuratively) over spots, as there were always 3 - 5 cars waiting for a spot.

Those looking for information on trails! (like I was):There are no marked, mapped, maintained trails here. There are three trail-ish trails. Two come off from the large viewing area (a very short walk from the parking lot). The one to the right of the area takes you around to the top of the falls, then continues along the river towards the road. The one to the left of the area takes you either down along the river, or through the woods a bit. The third one you will see going off into the prairie before you get to the viewing area. This one takes you along the river but up on a bit of a bluff. Theres a neat natural bridge structure along here. This trail goes about 0.2 miles before it goes down a steep hill and becomes less of a trail (I didnt go past that part). I wouldnt say any of the trails I found (I only followed for as long as they were easy to track) went farther than a quarter mile.No pets :( Its written on a sign by the parking lot.

Great little nature area that features different kinds of terrain for all different types. We took the kiddos here for a day out and they loved the waterfall, balancing on rocks to cross the river/stream, climbing the rock faces and gentle grades, then following the deer path along the river/stream and deeper into the woods at the back of the park property. Caution that there are no restrooms once you get pas the porta-pottey at the trail head so plan accordingly.

Ive been going to Fonferek since I was a teenager. Hiking trails that are uneven, high drop off cliffs, loose rocks/boulders, water. Steep incline at places, shaded (by forest) and sunny in open areas. I didnt use my phone out there this time, but years back cell service was spotty in case of emergency. Explore with caution.

Great scrambling hike along the river with plenty of cliffs and bare rocks. We were there in late May and there were many wildflowers and crabapple trees blooming! The waterfall is less than a 5 min walk from the parking lot, but for us the highlight of the trip was actually hiking away from the falls down the river - less people, more birds, and plenty of good spots to cross the river without wettting your shoes. The bad side is that some places along the hike smell like urine and we found broken beer bottles and general litter along the way :(
