Convenient but more $ than ace

Got an expensive set of drill bits here. I used it one time with wood and it broke in half! The “Do It” brand quality is terrible and this store carries a lot of this junk. I tried to return this for a different brand, not even asking for money back and the store owner told me no. I was a little surprised at how unfriendly the owner was considering I shop at this place many times. I will never shop here again.

Its a get what you need close to home kind of place. Avoid going to huge Depos...

Buyer be aware. They do not accept returns even if the product is defective. Should’ve been zero stars. I came in to buy a light fixture for $31. There is no seal on the box. I opened it and found out that it did not fit because of a strangely placed screw holes on the fixture. I immediately asked for a return of the product, but the owner said no because I opened the box. This is a ridiculous return policy. It rips off all the customers. The owner even claimed that even if the product is defect, as long as the box is opened he would not accept the return. Dont buy here.

Conveniently located in the Old Village of Great Neck. They have almost everything you would expect in a neighborhood hard ware store. Helpful staff. Yes you might pay a little bit more but at least you dont have to drive all the way to home Depot or Lowes and waste a couple hours of time. Thats worth something to me and why I returned often...

We came in at 5:50 pm to this store to buy a simple walve, store clearly closes at 630 but he was rushing us out of the store saying if you dont want to buy get out. Store owners prejudice, impatience does not show what a friendly neighborhood hardware store should be like.

Best place for hardware in great neck period!! They have almost everything you need, and i was fairly surprised to see there prices are comparable with home depot!! Deff cheaper then gregories or Ace by 20%. They also give free coffee :)

Should’ve been zero stars — Walked in a day before Halloween 2018, thirty minutes before closing time. Picked up the following: a wooden dowel; a 12” plastic tube; a can of spray paint; 3 small PVC connectors; a 30’ black parachute cord and a small Krazy Glue tube. The guy looked at the stuff on the counter (didn’t scan, didn’t check the labels), looked at me and said $80 dollars... I questioned the pricing of a few unlabeled items such as the spray paint and he repeated “$80 dollars”... I had no choice – since there’s no other hardware store near by and I had to finish my kid’s costume – handed him my credit card. His response was “no cards... my system is not working” and pointed me to the ATM at the gas station next door. I walked over, took out the money, paid him. Will NEVER return and will make sure every one I know hears this story.
