Peaceful place to take a beautiful stroll in the park
This is a nice museum which you can visit for a very reasonable $4 per person. It doesnt go into extreme depth on any particular topic or era, but it does give you a fun look at relics from Barton Countys past. If you are interested in learning a bit more about this area, its worth a visit. Probably will take you 1 to 2 hours to see everything.
Because it teaches ya about great bend and the surrending cities of kansas
Lotsa history and well maintained! Real cool place you can almost feel the oldtimers presence!
Great informative museum with knowledgeable people.
Museum are always a good stop to visit
Interested in the history around Great Bend? This site has more history than you can shake a stick at. Make sure you check out the tractors!
This place worth a visit! So much history in one place. They have an old 1-room school, an original train station dating back to the early 1900, and relocated Church from the 1800, an actual Lustrom House with all of the furnishings, wagons, cars, trucks ranging from the 1800 to the 1950s. A lot of history and a lot to see. I was there for about four hours and didnt get to see everything. If you have roots in Kansas, the staff probably knows your family. For real.
