Really cool place to take the kids. Wasn’t super crowded. Could use some renovations but they are adding/renovating some of the habitats. Rivals the Detroit zoo in some ways. You can watch the animals be fed which is awesome. You’re not always on flat pavement, theres hills, boardwalks and dirt trails. They have a zip line, high ropes course, camel rides, budge(parakeet)feeding, a petting farm, and tons of things for the younger kids. Definitely plan to be here the whole day. Pack lunch, water/juice and snacks. Bring extra $ for zip line, high ropes course, camel rides, budge(parakeet)feeding and any souvenirs.
As an out of town guest it was a very nice 1/2 of a day trip. Reasonable entrance fees and prices at the gift shop. However it needs more random seating and the quality of food for the price isnt great.
Great place to go! Love the selection of animals, and prices are great.
Its a great park trust ne
I love the ppl, the atmosphere especially the animals I love watching the kids getting excited.
Very organized and friendly
Always a fun and pleasant stop on our family vacation.
Animals everywhere. A great place for the kids
Love the zoo. Great attractions and very clean. Polite and helpful staff.
Great place for family outings. The staff is very knowledgeable. They are dedicated to expanding and bringing more activities for all ages.
If you want to see animals...go take a real safari or boating tour into the wild. Sucks that the animals are in cages and not in their natural habitat. Zoos are ancient and outdated and people should know caged animals are depressed animals. Please dont pay to support this.
Itd be nicer if they let the animals go but still its pretty cool
One of the better aquariums in this country! :) Great exhibit at John Ball Zoo!
It is a very gr8 place 2 go with the whole family
Not much of an aquarium!! Expected more from reading on it!
I took three children to the John Ball Zoo (ages 11, 10 and 4) and they had a great experience. My son (11) loved all of the animals, especially the bird room where you could hold sticks with bird food hot glued to the end. The birds climb right on the stick and you have your very own pet for a moment! Along with the birds, snakes, frogs, sting rays, Kotomo Dragon... all the dangerous creatures were his favorite. He also had quite an adventure on the ropes course. He climbed all over that thing! I think he would have stayed all night if we would have let him. My oldest daughter (10) has a concern about falling from high places, so she did not enjoy the ropes course very much. Even after I joked about how they should put the lions under the ropes... she didnt find it very funny. She loved the entire zoo though. She is my animal-lover who has all the intentions in the world of being a veterinarian, so I am not surprised that she had such a great time. Little (4) had the time of her life! Pelicans, bears, cats, penguins, lions, and her dragon (Komoto) were all there and made her glow with happiness each time we moved to the next area. She didnt want to leave the Treetop Outpost, neither did the big-kids, and I have a feeling the next thing on the mom-please-can-we-have list is an outpost in the back yard at home. Which I think I will enjoy almost as much as they will!... and after much debate, my daughter (10) and I decided that the black-footed cat WOULD fit in my purse - unfortunately we didnt see the pick up area...? So the next time we go we will try to swing a deal to take one home!! Lol. Another great trip with some pretty great little people :)
Not that impressive for an aquarium. I hope they invest in this facility and continue to grow the exhibits. Clean and decent for its size.
Good and cheap, would recommend
Dolphins are so beautiful, like Gods angels.
