Neat location near downtown Grand Haven wedged between an old cemetery, a upscale residential neighborhood and the lakeshore. Beautiful mature trees including Beech, white pines, and red oaks. Nice parking and access to other nearby trails by hiking extensions. Great asset to the city.

We had such a great hike here. Took both our dogs along with us. Only complaint really was hoping for a trail map at the entrance somewhere.

There is an immediate peace entering the virgin forest in the middle of a city! We strolled and saw birds, squirrels and a doe and her fawn. This was our second visit. I love it!

Amazing trails. We went this morning. It was about 80° but it was so shaded it was amazing in the trails. And a huge plus, it wasnt swarming with bugs. We didnt see it at first, but then realized it was a trail park so that was really an exciting this to stumble upon. You also are right downtown so its a quick walk down to go eat when your done.

Nice trails to walk through. Was meaning to go to Rosy Mound but the parking lot was full so we went here instead. I wasnt disappointed. Its a nice trail system. It isnt Rosy but decent all the same.

Nice natural area in the middle of Grand Haven. The main part of the park has a paved road that winds through the woods. This road is for bikes and walkers only - no motorized vehicles. There is another part of the park (across Lake Ave) that is an off leash area for dogs. Its really beautiful. Can walk through to Mulligans Hallow park.

A beautiful park with an awesome system of unmarked trails to explore every inch. It has been a staple of my childhood. Great for snow activities of all kinds in the winter. The park connects to lake forest cemetery for an even larger walking area. I almost always see deer. They let you get rather close. No public restroom but a port-a-jon on site. The county just went through and treated all the hemlock trees to save them from an invasive insect which Im so grateful for.

This is a nice woodsy park. It has a fair size parking lot and a few picnic benches. There was not a playground as far as I saw. This park is definitely more about exploring the woods and getting some good exercise hiking up and down the many trails.I would have never found this place without #VisitGHEggHunt. My kids and I had a blast trekking up and down the hilly trails through the woods. We were appreciating all the cool shapes trees come in and searching the many nooks and crannies some can have. And we watched birds flitting in and out of tree branches along our paths. Theres a good size field area too that is kind of bowl shaped which we thought was pretty neat.I also saw a video someone posted from there from just this weekend that had a small herd of deer scattered amongst the trees. So there is a good possibility of seeing more wildlife on a less busy day than when we went.

Great anytime of the year, good spot to take the kids for a hike, sledding in the winter. Watch out for fallen trees tho, a young kid was killed from one a few winters back. Lots of dog walkers go through here to the cemetery next to the park or into duncan woods. Wish the city would do a little more to make this more appealing. A playground similar to imagination station perhaps?
