Julie is a wonderful artist and really a teacher at heart. Her approach to instruction is both comprehensive and positive. Bending a piece that was being filed was met with we can fix that... rather than a belittling look or comment. Deviations from the lesson were met with positive comments about being creative. Very positive experience. Her shop is very well equipped as well as kept clean and tidy.

Julie runs the greatest metals studios! I have been to several of her visiting artist workshops, and have really enjoyed the attention from being in a small class. The surrounding area is fun too, so its worthwhile to come from afar and stay in the area awhile. There are beaches and shopping to enjoy!

Julie is a creative genius when it comes to jewelry metalworking. Ive worked with her to create memorable jewelry from shells collected from exotic vacation sites and the latest, a pair of earrings for my wife to match her grandmothers wedding ring which I gave on our 36th anniversary. You bring an idea – Julie will create a work of art. You cant find a better jewelry artist in West Michigan.

I had the pleasure of attending the Fabrication 1 class in July of 2015. I absolutely loved the class and enjoy wearing the all the items we created during the class. Cant believe how much I learned in those few days! Looking forward to attending more classes in Summer of 2016.
